Hundreds of unwanted BBM Add Requests per day!

I started getting BBM requests from people I don't know in July, and at one point it was up to 500 a day.
I deleted BBM from my phone but I still get the requests, they just go into my Messages folder now.
They come up in red, and some of them say <$RemoveOnDelivery,SuppressSaveInSentItems>BLACKBERRYMESSENGERINVITESTAGE2
Has anybody else experienced this? I've tried googling it but haven't found anything.
Is there any way that I can block my pin from receiving any add requests? It's driving me mad!
Solved!
Go to Solution.

1. Remove your PIN from any websites you might have posted looking for BBM buddies.
2. The messages in RED are as a PIN message. Removing BlackBerry Messenger won't remove PIN messages.
Go to Options > Security > Firewall and enable the firewall to block any PIN messages to your deivce.
Below that, click "Except messages from Contacts" so that you do not block friends in your contact address book already. You'll see the proper settings when you see that screen.
1. If any post helps you please click the below the post(s) that helped you.

  • Controlling multiple travel requests per day via schema

    Hello,
I am working on Travel Management.
My client wishes that it should not be possible for any employee to raise more than one travel requests per day.
In the schema, the check box- Multiple TRs/Day is not available. I think with the help of this, maybe issue could be resolved.
    I am not sure.
Can someone point out what could be missing? What should I do to control this?
    Thank you.
    Ruth Dhamone

I'm on NW AS 7.03 ABAP Stack 731 Level 13, ECC 606 (EHP 6) with SAP_HR 604 Level 81 and EA_HR 607 (HR-Renewal 1) Level 32 over here. Maybe they really removed it... or it's not available for the deviant Public Sector ;-/. Doesn't really matter though, we don't need it, I was just curious ;-)
Anyway, since this is not your problem (I misunderstood), there are two possibilities I can think of at the moment:
    1. The Trip is still in the future, hence the Schema doesn't have to be changed and the system remains in technical Schema PL (which is unlikely in your case if the status really says "Trip Completed"). I.e. your Trip is not in the future, is it?
    2. Only one of your expense Schemas qualifies for the trip. In that case the system silently defaults to that one and you don't get the option to choose from a list.
    Cheers, Lukas

  • Hundreds of unwanted bbm requests daily

Can someone please help me,my ex has posted my pin on loads of dirty websites n I'm gettin hundreds of bbm requests daily,iv managed to block pin messages coming through but am not aware how to block any new bbm requests from coming through,is there a way I can keep my existing bbm contacts but not allow any more further requests to come in?? Plz help

Hi rainbo7812 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Unfortunately there is no way to block these requests.  All I can recommend is to block each request as it comes in therefor that person cannot request you again.  As each PIN is specific to each BlackBerry® smartphone, it cannot be changed, however, getting another BlackBerry® smartphone may be another option for you.
    Thanks.

    Ok,
Few things to clarify first :
1 - How do you define week number ?
Oracle has 2 different way for week number : normal week number (WW) and isoweek (IW).
is your weeknumber one of those, or is it something else ?
2 - Depending on the country the week doesn't start on the same day : in France (as most of Europe I think) first day is monday, where in the USA (as far as I know) first day is sunday.
the to_char builtin function can display weeknumber :with a as (
    --week 0
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('30-MAY-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'JJ' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('31-MAY-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'MK' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('01-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'MK' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('01-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'BK' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('01-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'JJ' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('04-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'KK' as name from dual union all
select 0 as weeknum, to_date('04-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'LA' as name from dual union all
    -- week 1
select 1 as weeknum, to_date('06-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'BK' as name from dual union all
select 1 as weeknum, to_date('06-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'JJ' as name from dual union all
select 1 as weeknum, to_date('07-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'KK' as name from dual union all
select 1 as weeknum, to_date('11-JUN-2010','DD-MON-YYYY') as edate, 'LA' as name from dual
    select to_char(a.edate,'IW') isoweek, to_char(a.edate,'WW') numweek, a.*

  • Number of Requests per day

    Hi,
We are a mid size automobile supplier company and we have implemented EBS with most of the basic modules including but not limited to financial, SCM, Purchasing, HRMS, SSHR, Payroll, Advance Benefits, AME, iSupplier, custom modules in PO, OM, INV, etc.
We are working on some performance issues and I want to know how many total number of requests(including everything) will be submitted in a typical environment with some level(about 30%) of customizations. I know this is a really vague question but any rough number based on the experience will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    CAH

  • RANDOM FOREIGN ADD REQUESTS ON BLACKBERRY MESSENGER

For the last few days i have been receiving loads and loads of random add requests on bbm from people that I don't know and that I have definitely not given my pin to. I am quite careful not to display my pin on any social networking sites and am quite confident that my friends will not have passed on my pin.
Is there anyway I can get this to stop or block them from trying to add me because I am getting anywhere up to 50 adds a day from complete strangers who appear to be from a different country!
    PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks

Someone else might have posted "their" PIN on some BBM buddy site asking for friends, and gotten it a digit off.
Go to Options > Security > Firewall and set the firewall to block PIN messages all except those in your address book.

  • In Lookout, how can I make the equivalent of a "4 changes per day" set-back thermostat?

Ok... I need some help here....
I have a Pot_TSP (Temperature setpoint) that uses a PLC register as its remote source. I added a night-time temperature setback feature by adding a "DAYTIME" expression as a permissive, and tying two new Pots (Pot_SP1 and Pot_SP2) to Pot_TSP's "reset value" :       NIF(Expression_Daytime, Pot_SP1, Pot_SP2).
Client now wants this increased to 4 optional temp changes per day, just like a household 7-day programmable T-stat. Adding the additional conditions to the "reset" parameter was easy; one extra TimeOfDay timer for each temperature Setpoint change, arranged as "OR" functions. Each time the clock hits one of these TOD targets, Pot_TSP gets "reset" and the "reset value" gets written to it. Here's where I start to bog down... How do you arrange this so that when one of the 4 TOD targets goes "true", its corresponding SP value gets written to Pot_TSP? The closest I've been able to get is this: make a new Pot (Pot_X) with a min of 1 and a max of 4 and use a NCHOOSE to select which of the 4 Temp setpoint Pots Pot_X will use as the (next) SP. If I rotate Pot_X and the clock hits a TOD target, a value corresponding to the selected Pot gets written to Pot_TSP.
So can someone please tell me how to get Pot_X to align itself with the TOD events? I can get a limping model if I slave the NCHOOSE function to a Counter object, but if the customer has Lookout turned off or disconnected long enough to miss one of the events, Pot_X will go out of sync. Same goes for incrementing the Pot object. Can't allow that...
Since the clock never stops and only hits each TOD once every 24 hours, there would never be more than one of the 4 TOD conditions true at one time... is there a way to build an expression object (or the like) to ultimately produce a numeric (the Pot_TSP value) using the following logic: If TOD1 is true, return Pot_SP_1;  If TOD2 is true, return Pot_SP_2, If TOD3 is true, return Pot_SP_3; If TOD4 is true, return Pot_SP_4   ????
    Thanks guys.
    G

    Hi Ryan
Thanks again for your input! I'm more comfortable with the DataTable object (now that it's become more familiar), and thanks to you I now have a DataTable constructed for one zone (7 rows for the days-of-the-week, and 16 columns for the variables). Displaying of the cell data, cursor navigation, and reading/writing to the Pots' remote position source (in other words the actual GUI) work just fine. In order to expedite completion of the project for which this DataTable is intended, I am at a point where I am prepared to clone the DataTable 3 times to get 4 zones (that's one panel), then clone that result times the number of panels the site has....but I'd like to run this by you first:
Unless it's contrary to "best practices", should I do as above, or try to further multiplex the DataTable I already have by adding to it the other three zones? The Table I have now serves one zone; can it be expanded to serve (dare I suggest it) one panel (4 zones)? If you recall, I started out thinking I'd need one dedicated Pot for each variable in each zone (16) times 7 days = 96; using the DataTable, the cursor replaced the d-o-t-w so the number of Pots needed dropped to 16. My point: if I have to make separate DataTable objects for each zone, I also need to make 48 more Pots to serve them (which I'm obviously trying to avoid). Then I have to repeat this times the number of panels on site. I'm guessing that adding 3 more zones to the existing (one zone) DataTable is no problem since there's plenty of room left...
But would you add them as columns (to keep the cursor consistent across the zones) or add them as rows (to keep the columns consistent across the zones)?
If added as columns, can I avoid making those extra 48 Pots? Can I make my existing 16 Pots read/write to multiple columns, like change the Remote Source for Pot_Temp_SP_1 from "..\DataTable.B" to something like "nchoose(Pot_Zone_Selector,..\DataTable.B,..\DataTable.R)" where columns B and R contain Temperature setpoint values for Zones 1 and 2 respectively?
If added as rows, I'm guessing I don't have to make those extra 48 Pots. But what's the best way to deal with the cursor? Should I be looking at multiple cursors (one for each zone)?
I should also point out I've been using only L3 Pots since "normal" Pots won't accept an expression as a remote position source; if I change this to regular Pots coupled with SymbolicLinks, does it change the picture at all?
    ...and I'm using Ver 6.0.2
    Thanks,
    George

  • Not working: Send subscription emails: Once per day?

    Seasons Greetings,
Can someone please clarify/confirm what I should have in My Settings in Subscription Preferences.
    They are currently:
Always subscribe to topics I create: Yes
Always subscribe to topics I reply to: Yes
Send subscription emails: Once per day
It's the last option that doesn't seem to work for me. Yesterday after spending a bit of time helping out all the new nano owners I opened Mail and has 67 posts yesterday, with 25 today so far.
Here's an example of 5 separate replies to one subject (numbered by me):
    1. You have requested mail to be sent to you when messages to the Apple Discussions topic "how do I know when it is fully charged" are posted. hudgie posted "how do I know when it is fully charged" on Dec 27, 2005 12:25:46 PM.

I have some with more than 5 but I don't want to bore you too much
What I really expected with 'Send subscription emails: Once per day' was a digest listing all replies to all posts for a 24 hour period.
Have I misunderstood or is something wrong?

  • Exchange Server 2010 automatic reply once per day or once per week?

    Hello,
can some tell me how often the automatic reply is send in Exchange Server 2010.
Is it once per day for each sender or once per week for each sender?
In the web some tell per week, some tell per day.
Is it possible to change the time shedule, so that each day a automatic reply is send?
    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hello,
after some googling and consolidating the different examples on the Internet I came up with this powershell script which is executed by the windows task scheduler once a day. The script first gathers all the mailboxes for which the out of office mechanism
is activated. Then it disables the autorepliers for these mailboxes, waits for 10 seconds (this seems to be necessary to let exchange do some housekeeping) and then reenables the autorepliers.
Warning: I have learned that this script resets the time interval of the autoreplier. Any ideas how to preserve the time settings?
    Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
    $objUsers = get-mailbox | Get-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration | Where-Object {$_.AutoReplyState -eq "scheduled" }
    $objUsers | %{ Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration -Identity $_.identity -AutoReplyState disabled}
    Start-Sleep -s 10
    $objUsers | %{ Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration -Identity $_.identity -AutoReplyState scheduled}
Remember to use -AutoReplyState scheduled instead of -AutoReplyState enabled to reenable. -AutoReplyState enable should only be used for permanent autorepliers and not for "out of office" messages.
    Cheers,
    Florian

  • Indesign CS5 Buggy Crashes Many times per day

I manage to crash CS5 at least 10 times per day. Cut and paste from one layter to another seems to do it alot. Running on a new Core I7 machine. Very disappointed. CS4 rarely crashed. Also I wish Adobe would focus on performace of their programs. CS5 has a few marginal things over 4 but to Adobe performance never seems to matter.
    Rob

There are quite a few document elements I've ran into that were valid in CS3 layouts that InDesign CS5 will not copy and paste. I've not ran into any elements created in CS5 that didn't copy and paste expected.
Generally I've found it to be elements that were never meant to be text frames that have been converted to text frames via the text tool click to create frame option. It's mostly when elements that should have been type on path through that tool being created as a frame.
Also, though this forum occasionally has some venting is generally support oriented. This late into CS5 most people aren't really concerned with the relative displeasure of new users. Getting used to it is the best way and someone may come along with the link to the feature request for to vote for what you want to see. I'll sympathize that things aren't going to get better and performance is likely to continue to degrade, that much of the new stuff is designed for next generation hardware and won't perform even on great hardware now, such as live screen drawing and not making me swear with files that used to not make me swear (particularly EPS which although I know is dead is very much alive in the history of a 20+ year old art departments past files).

Was discussed here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/709022 - in Feb 2013. And Bug #738661 was filed in March of 2012, with the consensus being.
'''"In that case this is more likely a bug in Covenant Eyes than it is a bug in Firefox. If we have no hope of success through engaging with Covenant Eyes and can't blocklist the offending DLL from loading, can we at least get a support article posted instructing users how to work around this issue (ie. removing Covenant Eyes or switching to a different browser)?'''
'''Additionally, I don't see much point in keeping this bug in the NEW state if it's unreasonable to expect that we'll ever fix this."'''

  • More flexibility in limiting requests per second or minute

We've read the docs on limiting the requests-per-second (max-rps), but we would actually like to set the threshold at less than one request per second. For example, we'd like to set the maximum requests to something like once every 5 seconds. But values like 0.2 for max-rps are not accepted. So the question is:
Is there a way to set the maximum frequency of requests to something like once every 5 or 10 seconds?
Is there an add-in that does that or could we create an add-in to do that?
It looks like the server is NOT open source, so we cannot change the current code to address this, but certainly let me know if I'm wrong about that.
In case it's helpful as background, the reason we want a lower threshold is that we only intend to limit access for html or jsp pages (not gif, jpg, js, css, etc.) That's because we don't want users to get half of a page, like the html, but no images or css, which would look like an ugly error. We want them to get the html complete with all the embeded files or get an error page. We're really only trying to block bots, which might make requests every second or slightly less often, and not block any human users. If there are other general suggestions for how to meet our goal, I'd love to hear them.

No, the lowest max limit is 1rps. The request limiting isn't really meant for what you're describing, it is for limiting high request rates. At less than 1/sec such detection would have false positive with real users anyway, so it wouldn't be such a great way of distinguishing users from bots. I'm not sure it would prove very satisfactory.
You could create your own NSAPI plugin (see docs on NSAPI usage) to implement your desired logic. I'd probably look into long term counters instead, but I don't really know the details of the exact problem you're trying to address.

  • Please note that i am seeking some assistance with adding the followng resource: A maximum of 4 resources can be added at an additional cost of $500 per day per resource.

Hi, Please note that i am seeking some assistance with adding the following resource to a task in Microsoft Project 2010:
A maximum of 4 resources can be added at an additional cost of $500 per day per resource.

    Hi Clemence,
Your post has quite little details, but as far as I understand, you want to add 4 resources on a task, each resource costing 500$ a day. Since it is not mentionned if it is generic resources (skill or role) or named resources, I'll assume that it is generic
resources. Based on this understanding, here is a proposal:
    Go to the resource sheet,
Create a work generic resource ("type" field set to "work", "generic" field to "yes"), typing in the resource name field the skill name,
In the max unit field, enter 400% for 4 resources (for just 4 if  your Project 2010 is configured to display units in decimals),
Since the rate is an hourly rate, make the calculation : 500$ per day / 8 hours a day = 62,5$ per hour,
Go back to the Gantt Chart, split the window (click "detail" in the view tab of the ribbon),
Select your task and assign the newly created resource with a given % units.
    Hope this helps.

  • I get unwanted skype contact requests

Hi I have set my privacy settings to receiving messages only from those on my contact list but I continue to get multiple requests a day from spam/unwanted users.  I always block them but I would prefer to not receive them at all.  I don't know how they see my skype account or name to be able to contact me past the security settings.
    Thanks
    Jennifer

Has anyone noticed that the sudden influx of unwanted contacts coincides with the closing off of MSN Messenger and Microsoft's insistence that one's original Skype entity MUST show your gender and birth date now.  Reading through some of the various messages about this problem it seems to be mostly (but not always, of course) women who are getting spammed with these contacts.
Come on Microsoft/Skype... it's time that a Privacy Option is instigated to enable a user to disallow contact requests by default.  Before you say this is unworkable, it just means that if you have "locked down" your privacy to only allowing, say, calls, video/share screen, and IMs from people in your contact list only, then if someone you know wants to be on your Skype contact list they would probably have asked you for your id another way and you could temporarily uncheck this option to "open it up".
And how come when the Allow IMs from... anyone/people in my Contact list only is set to the latter option, these requests still come through anyway.  After all, they come as an IM.
Even if the above suggestion wouldn't be practical, it's well past time that someone starting thinking out of the box for a solution.

  • My credit limit is$700US per day .How   can I pay for an item costing $815?

My credit limit is $700 per day. I have purchased an item for$815.How can I pay for it?

If you tried to make a purchase from Apple.com, they offer you the opportunity to add a second credit card if you have one. If you do not have one, then you need to contact the back or institution that handles your credit card for them to approve the purchase.
Just so you know, you are not addressing Apple here, we are users like you.
