Husband registered phone on iTunes and now it won't recognize mine!
My husband got an iPhone for Fathers day. The rep told
us to register and sync it to the same iTunes account so that we could
share songs and apps. He hooked it up this morning and got it registered fine. I then went to hook my phone up to do some syncing and iTunes will not recognize my phone.
No matter how long I have it plugged in, it never pops
up. Plus my iTunes account seems to freeze every time I plug
it in. My husband can plug his and everything is perfectly
fine. Did he somehow delete or replace my phone with his.
I was assuming that iTunes would just recognize each phone when plugged in bit this is a mess! Any help

Do you have only one iPhone connected at a time? iTunes gets unhappy if you have more than one iPod/iPhone device plugged in at a time.
I don't know if it will help, but most likely Apple will first have you uninstall iTunes then download the latest version and install it. The uninstall procedure is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925?viewlocale=en_US
Good luck! Keep in mind that this should work; there are lots of people with multiple iPhones and one computer.

I upgraded Itunes about a month ago and since then It does not recognize my Ipod and then I tried to update again and it won't upgrade. The error message says it's on a unavailable network path not found. So I tried to get tech support they told me to delete and start over. I went through my control panel and it gave me the same network error and would not delete the software. I am beyond frazzeled over this. Please help.
Essentially 'b noir' is correct, it will be relating to the .msi file that is, for lack of a better word, screwed. It's a pretty long process in order to cleanly remove and redownload the correct file.
Not really a long process if you can hunt down a copy of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. If you have that installed and working, then so long as you know which particular msi (or msis) are being complained about, you can get past the issue in most cases pretty quickly. For example, for an itunes.msi message see:

There's some additional information in my notes on the bookmark about one possible complication requiring a bit more work. My phone is doing the same thing. My computer acknowledges that I have connected my iPhone 4, however, iTunes will no longer connect or sync to my iPhone 4. I have uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour and all Apple products from my pc. I have re-installed them back on. I have reset my phone. I have emptied my temp folder. I have done everything. If my iPhone cannot update and sync with iTunes then I may as well get another phone from somewhere else. I am disappointed that I cannot resolve this issue.

Wow I see from the other responses to similar questions that the phone may be jailbroken. I thought I was purchasing an unlocked phone that was legal to use with any system. What a disappointment, I will have to go back to where I purchased this phone and let them have an ear full.

Updated iTunes to 10.3.1 and now it won't recognize my iPod
I recently updated my iTunes to the latest version, and now it won't recognize any of my apple products. I have a first gen iPod touch, 4th gen. ipod nano and 5th gen. ipod nano. The ipod does work still, and is chargeable through a dock or a AC adapter. I've gone through all of the five Rs and reinstalled itunes, and nothing is working. My ipod won't show up in windows either. When I plug in my 5th gen nano, windows says the driver did not install sucessfully and itunes won't even acknowledge I've plugged it in. Any help would be fantastic, I'd really appreciate it. I put new music on my ipod all the time, and not being able to do so *****.
Well yesterday I finally broke down and called apple service... I spent $29 and 1.5 hours on the phone, but the operator was finally able to fix my ipod. There was an issue with the itunes update, and it had corrupted. After uninstalling, installing, and updating several drivers, programs, and resolving other issues, my iPod finally works. Even better, the operator gave me a way to contact him again if I am having issues, free of charge. I would have much rather fixed this myself without spending the additional money, but I'll admit there was no way I could've done what he did, as there were certain orders to uninstalling Apple programs. My advice? Bite the bullet and call. They will get your iPad working again. (:

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
