  • How to make this effect in Keylight?

Hi, I have question, how to make this effect in Keylight?
I know that this overlay is added here:

Keylight what? All I see is some effect similar to Leave Color, a.k.a the Pleasantville effect that made the rounds 10 years ago. It may require additional masking and otehr effects, but definitely not something that is specifically related to Keylight...

Looks similar to a smoke effect.  But you can use a paint brush and paint your colored lines then use the Liquify tool on multiple layers (Filter / Liquify).

  • How can I make this effect to introduce somebody in my video?

    Hi,
I like to know how I can make this effect to introduce somebody: www.hofleverancier.be
You can see the effect on the 7nd second.
    Can anybody help me out?
    Thanks!
    Glenn.

    There are many ways.
    One of them would be:
export the specific point were it starts to Quicktime Conversion > Still Image >OPPTIONS: Photoshop.
Open this still in Photoshop. Cutout the man by using the magic lasso tool.
So then 2 layers. Background and Foregrond (The man).
Import this 2 layered PSD in FCP. Cut it right after the point you exported. On V1 the Background, On V2 the Man. Bring the background to Black and white. Set Keyframes for the SCALE on V2, in order to 'zoom in' on the person a little bit.
    And ad a title effect.
Well, this is the short version. Try to play with it yourself. You can also do all the compositing in Motion, or After Effects.

  • How do I make this effect better?  And some other good effects.

Okay I just put out a new video in which I tried to create an effect of audio waves distorting the air.  I used this process.  base clip, copy clip, new solid, generate radio waves on solid and set color to black, set track matte alpha on duplicate clip, added distort-bulge to duplicate clip.  I will post the video so you can see what it turned out looking like.  My question is what could I do to make this effect look better, and what other effects could I use for this type of clip?

I doubt you will get people throwing you ideas. After all, experimenting on your own is half the fun. Additionally, nobody will give away their best kept secrets that easily. Essentailyl you are also asking the wrong question: The question is not whether you can use and create 1000 different effects, but rather whether you can develop your own visual and artistic style. In the end, it doesn't matter whether you fry people with lightnings or laser beams, it matters that the execution of the effects is spot on and you have some work ahead of you there. As I already wrote, practice color correction to improve your results. Use the same effects in different scenarios and use variations of them, then learn how to refine them, e.g. in case of your lasers by adding smoke, debris, particles or again using color correction methods to give the illusion of charred trees, furniture or burn marks on the walls....

  • How to make this effect ? ( video )

    Hi all
how to make the screen blink dark like in this video  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TszuTgFx93U
starts at 0.46 end at 0.50
can anyone tell me hows it called ?

If you mean this effect and then changing to a black screen then this is a glow with an add blend mode and a blur followed by a black layer multiplied with opacity keyframes.
I would put the video on the bottom layer, then add an adjustment layer and set the in and out point of the adjustment layer to the length you want to have this effect. It's only a few frames in the sample video. Then I'd go to the middle of the adjustment layer and add Glow to see if you could get close to this effect. Then I'd animate the opacity of the adjustment layer from zero to 100 over a few frames. I'd then set a new black solid above that and set the blend mode to Multiply. Set the in point just past the second keyframe in the adjustment layer and set the opacity to 0. Then move in a few frames and set the opacity of the black solid to 100% and set the out point of the adjustment layer to the same spot. Then move down a frame or two and set another opacity keyframe for the black solid at 100% then move down a few frames and set the opacity to zero and set an out point for the black solid.
Figuring these things out is just a matter of looking at the frames and trying to figure how to stack layers up to achieve the effect. Grab some stills from various parts of an effect you are trying to copy and then try and figure out what you could do to the footage to get the same result. Only a few of the effects you see are just a single plug-in applied to a single layer. This is the best way to learn After Effects.
Here's what a comp would look like using a frame from the sample video. Note that the adjustment layer and the black solid are only a few frames long. I made a quick stab at the color grading of the frame by making some adjustments to the A and B colors of the glow, added some blur, and added a little color correction to the adjustment layer using curves. This should get you started.

  • How can i make this effect in After Effects?

hello guys, im new to this awesome program, im using the trial version so ive limited time to learn XD
can you tell me ho can i replicate this effect in after effect?
    http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2ajnybc&s=6
looks like speed effect... is there a way to replicate it in after effects?
    thank you

CC Bender is really easy to use. Just take the default settings and animate the amount with about three keyframes.
We can make it a lot more complicated with something like liquefy, or even Time Displacement.

  • Anyone know how to make this effect?

Mac Miller - Clarity (Macadelic) - YouTube
I'm trying to recreate the same 'push and pull' kind of effect which you can hear most clearly from 0.00 to 0.35...
It's obviously using compression and I've tried sidechaing the sound to the snare and tweaking the attack and release settings but I still can't get this effect. It might also use some kind of delay technique...
    Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not positive but, to me, it just sounds like a combination of individual loops perhaps with some fades to control the attack and decay.  it could be a sawtooth wave on the white noise loop but it sounds like too much of a delay from the decay to attack which is why i think it's more likely individual clips.  once you have the white noise part it seems to be a matter of playing your other parts (sounds like an organ part and a piano part) on or around the decay of the those clips.  the loose timing of the keyboard parts along with lots of modulation give it that sort of sick see-saw effect.

    As for the splinters:
Assuming you want some randomness the easiest method would, I suppose, be a use of Filters > Distort > Displace.
Manually creating the splinters might be »easier« but more time-intensive, albeit allow for better control of the individual particles.
    As for Displace:
    • Convert the image to a Smart Object
    • create an appropriate Brush based on a splinter shape and set its Shape Dynamics Jitters and Scattering way high and in the Color Dynamics set the Hue Jitter to 100% and experiment with the Saturation Jitter
    • use the Brush on an empty layer on a 50% gray RGB-file the same size as the image and with a fully saturated foreground-color do some brush strokes and save this Displacement Map as a separate psd (see screenshot)
    • apply the filter Displace with a fairly high value (far higher than 100 possibly) on the Smart Object of the original image (see screenshot)
    • to accentuate the shards one can use the transparency of the Displacement Mask’s layer and for example apply some Outer Glow on a Layer with 0% Fill (see screenshot)
To get more ostensible randomness one could create several Displacement Maps and apply them to flipped copies of the Smart Object and mask those with the respective transparencies (and maybe add Outer Glow to those).
Furthermore one could work with rotated copies, but that might get tricky.
To incorporate the rotations in the Displacement Maps might also be possible, but even trickier.

  • How to make this effect precisely

    Hey,
some ideas have been to use Halftone Pattern effect but this produce a somehow different look.
    thanks!

Illustrator's Halftone effect is limited to dots. Try with Photoshop; make the basic image in Illustrator (using black as the base color), open in Photoshop, convert first to grayscale and then to Bitmap. In the Bitmap dialog, you can select "Halftone" and specify it should be lines.
That said, it won't be exactly the same. Perhaps this was a manual job.

  • How to make this effect

    hello everybody!
How do i make those little scan line (or whatever they are called)
like on this image. Effect is on the banner/scroll and shield.
    thank you

I would say -and this is how I would do it too- pen tool. Just good
    old-fashioned technical ability.
a plug-in for this sort of effect would have to be very complicated to
give you the exact thing you were looking for.

  • How to make this effects on AE CS4

First of all, I apologize for my English
    Anyway  it's amazing video
I'm wondering can AE do this? or need to use some software like cinema 4D ?  How to make the light streak around the guys , and some part it look like it's behind on some parts  I tried , rotoscoping some part the light streaks will go to behind , but how to go back to front ? and it look smooth and perfect like the preview video?   Anyone could tell me the steps for this project?
Anyway , here are my quesions  1. I don't know how to create the own path for the light streak , for example , i want to make it around the guys .  2. When it's a moving objects , how can I make that perfect for the light streaks path ?  Thank someone for help

The answers are the same ones you got on Video CoPilot. Yes, rotoscoping and yes, Particular. The rest is just a matter of a few keyframes, some tracking and arranging everything in 3D space plus finding the right masking modes. Just keep trying. Nobody can explain to you how to make art, especially since you are a beginner at both AE and Particular.
