Hwo to replace 5300 cover?

I have a Nokia 5300 phone that I really like. Unfortunately I dropped it the other day and the front cover cracked. I bought a new cover in a different color but have yet to figure out how to replace the front part. The back side can easily be removed since that's where the battery, sim and memory card are placed. But the front cover... I went to a phone shop and they wanted to charge me over 50 USD, which is ridiculous since the only thing I need is a tool (T6 screwdriver, I think).
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance!

  • Z1 COMPACT REPLACEMENT BACK COVER.

Sony Mobile! I bought my xperia z1 compact and it easily scratches itself. I want to replace the back cover because it acquired so many scratches in just a week of placing it in my pocket! The front i removed the asf! I called the service center here in Manila to inquire about the back cover replacement and it is 2500 pesos!!!! And they will add a 750 pesos labor!! This is not good! This is not how you provide support for replacement parts if i am within warranty! I think 2500 pesos replacement for the back cover is expensive and an additional 750 for the labor is robbery! We need a discount if we are within warranty! Call me 63998 971 8019! Btw we are mislead that it is scratch resistant! It is not!!!

    I'm sorry to hear that.
I suggest that you raise this with your local support team to get further information about the warranty and how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

  • Nokia 770 replacement battery cover

I realise that the 770 is an internet tablet and not a phone, but I figured I'd get a greater response if I posted in this section of the forum, apologies if I've broken forum rules.
Anyway, having lost the battery cover for my 770 I'm in desperate need of a replacement! I called the Nokia careline (UK) this afternoon only to be told to contact a third party supplier, who in-turn referred me back to Nokia.
Can anyone help me at all?

I have tried Google and drawn a blank, and as for famous "auction" websites there is nothing in the way of replacements or spares on either the UK or US sites, not even faulty units being sold for parts.
This morning I contacted quite a few NSCs but only one said that they might be able to get the part, but that was only because the company they order from is closed for the weekend, they're going to call me back on Monday but I won't be holding my breath!
As for high street retailers there is only one that I can think of, but they deal in secondhand handsets as you say and not spare parts

  • Replace Battery Cover of Curve 8310

The battery cover of my 8310 has gotten badly scratched up, but the phone works great besides that. Anybody know how I can get a (hopefully inexpensive) replacement? Thanks!

    No.
    Try Google.

  • Replace battery cover

Dropped my brand new classic - back cover is all cut up and unsightly. Can it be replaced? If so, any links to new covers?

It is a thin plastic plate that clips on the battery. Here is the only thing like written instructions I could find for removing it from the old battery:
    Manual
    Page 5-7
It is likely going to take a bit of force. You may want to use a wide flat blade like a putty knife to pry it off.

  • Replace back cover

I need to replace the back cover of my iPad 2. There are several third parties that will do it for a reasonable price but the serial number changes and the warranty is voided. I would prefer to have Apple do it, but I am curious to know if the cost of repair is prohibitave, that is, if the cost is to high, should I just buy a new one and have my data transferred.

Talked to Apple support in the Apple store in Osaka. They do not offer repair service, however, they will let me trade in my damaged iPad for a new one for about 20,000 yen, about 250.00 USD. A bargain considering 3rd party repairs void the warrenty, plus shipping costs, insurance, etc. I have a good case for it now, but I will be looking for a better one. Thanks for yor input.

  • How to replace Battery Cover Pavilion ZX5000?

I bought a new battery for an old Pavilion ZX5000.  It came in and fit in the slot, but the shallow plastic cover with the rubber foot was missing.  I'm too stupid to figure out how to get the old plastic cover off the original battery and install it no the new battery.  Can anyone help?

  • Replace cover page of PDF with applescript in Acrobat

I tried replacing a cover page in a PDF document with the following code but got a "doesn’t understand the replace pages message." What am I not getting here? I'd like to fill a folder with new covers and have them wind up replacing the covers of PDF files, or page 1 with covers that have the same file name. This is my starting point.
    tell application "Adobe Acrobat Pro"
    set docPgToBe_replaced to "Macintosh HD:Users:don_feldman:Desktop:Switch_Chapter_ Covers:chapter PDF:9780071714921.pdf"
    set SourceOfNewPage to "Macintosh HD:Users:don_feldman:Desktop:Switch_Chapter_ Covers:cover PDF:9780071714921.pdf"
replace pages docPgToBe_replaced over 1 from SourceOfNewPage starting with 1 number of pages 1
    save docPgToBe_replaced
    end tell

The initial view setting is the responsibility of the document author - if they have defined one you cannot override it.
There's an option to set a default pagination and zoom for when the PDF itself has no preference, but it makes no sense for that to allow for cover pages as Acrobat has no idea if one exists or not.

  • Need to replace cover for RAM, HDD, Wi-Fi. Where can I get it?

Hey all. I have a G505s, model 20255. When taking the bottom cover off (the cover that protects the RAM, hard drive, wifi, etc) I broke some clips because - being stupid - I didn't read the instructions first! IDIOT!
Anyway, where can I buy a replacement bottom cover for this machine? I can install it myself (now that I know what I'm doing *eye roll*)
    Any ideas?
    Thanks guys and gals.

  • How to remove cover over RAM compartment on a Pavillion g7 1260us

This is my first HP laptop. The Dells I have owned were pretty straightforward when it came to removing the cover over the RAM compartment.  This HP has me freakin' stumped.  I remove the battery and the only two screws I see holding on the very LARGE L-shaped cover (covers maybe 40% of the underside of this machine).  Once the screws are out I cannot go further.  Can only pry a corner of the cover up at the battery comparment end of it.  There are no "pry slots" and no obvious way to work the thing loose.  I don't want to get too physical as I do not want to break the cover.  The machine is only a month old!  Not that I would want to bust it if it were an older machine.
I need guidance from someone who has added RAM to their Pavillion g7 to tell me, step by step, how to get the bottom off this darned thing.  I know what to do with the RAM once I am in.  It is the getting it that is holding up the operation.

Well I did finally get the cover off.  It was a matter of half-closing my eyes, getting my finger under the corner of the cover at the battery compartment and slowly pulling up harder and harder.  Once one of the retaining tabs finally released I could peek under the cover and see the other tab locations.  I worked my finger along and pulled up near each tab and the cover finally succumbed to my persistence.
Once in, adding the extra RAM card took maybe a minute.  And replacing that cover is WAY easier/faster than getting the darned thing off!

  • PDF Portfolio Cover Sheets

How do i disable covers sheets in a pdf portfolio? Each document is covered with a default coversheet with the following:
"For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or Later."
How do i get rid of this?

Create a new PDF cover page which you design.
Open the PDF Portfolio. Choose View > Portfolio > Cover Sheet, and you can see the current cover sheet. Use the Replace command to replace the cover page with the one you design.
I don't think you can disable the cover page.

  • Ios7 ipad mini coverflow replacement

Hi, various sites discussing ios7 show a replacement for cover flow where, when in music and landscape mode, a grid of album covers show.  Doesn't do this on my iPad so is it just on iPhone?

Your wallpaper? Yes, it's a bug. If you go into the photos app and choose your photo then send it to be wallpaper you do have a bit more control although not as much as you used to have.
No idea when or if Apple will fix it.

  • Macbook pro 13 inch front cover bump edge and turns white

I accidentaly bump the edges on the front cover of the MBP and the aluminium at that part turns kinda whitish. If you dont know what do i mean, just take a plastic cover and try bending it, then you will know what i mean If u guys out there can help me, i really appreciate it.

You damaged the anodized coating. Except replacing the cover - and it will be expensive - there is nothing that you can do except accept it.

  • MBP 2006 C2D (A1211) Trackpad Replacement?

    Hi all,
I have a Macbook Pro Core2Duo 2006 (non-Unibody) that had a fairly common issue with the Trackpad; ie the clicker would often become hard to engage or get physically stuck rendering the machine impossible to use. I realised that pressure from the battery below was causing the issue, or at least making it worse, so I removed the battery from the battery bay to carry on working, even though it didn't actually look swollen or deformed.
Anyway, thinking I might actually be able to rectify the trackpad/clicker issue completely by pushing it up a little to give it more clearance with the battery installed I applied a little pressure with my thumb massaging the trackpad gently from underneath while the battery was out. This has made it much worse and in fact it's now unusable! I can't even use an external mouse clicker because the trackpad is stuck on permanent 'select' and the cursor movement is also erratic. I think I probably need to just change it. Has anyone attempted this? I know I can just swap the whole top case containing the trackpad/keyboard, but my current top case is in mint condition, and I only really want to transplant the trackpad from another one. Can this be done? I can find no info on it, but someone told me it was plastic welded in and do-able with a bit of patience. Please advise!
    Thanks!

Hi, I bought another broken MBP in order to take off the entire top cover/keyboard and transplant it onto my one. In the event though I didn’t need to fit this. Once I'd removed the battery and allowed the Macbook to settle for a few weeks(?) the trackpad started to function again, fairly reasonably. It very occasionally clicks a little, but is otherwise fairly functional. It seems to have returned to it's normal physical position, as imperceptible as that may have been, without me doing much.
If you want to fix your’s buying a replacement top cover may be the simplest solution, since the trackpad on these models isn’t designed to be a replaceable part. Good luck.

  • Inconsistent selection behavior when deleting files in Cover Flow

I love browsing through my pictures folder using Cover Flow. However, I've noticed that deleting a file by pressing Cmd-Delete produces inconsistent selection results. Sometimes Finder will select the next file down the list, and sometimes it will select no file at all. However, the Cover Flow portion of the window will always show the next file.
It is misleading when Cover Flow shows the next file, but the file selection pane shows no file selected. I often hit the down-arrow (or right-arrow) key, expecting to skip to the next file, but the first file in the folder gets selected, Cover Flow re-winds its view, and I have to re-find my last position.
There is also no way to select the current file by clicking on the Cover Flow preview currently showing. I have to click some other file and re-browse to the current file in order to sync up the two panes.
Is this a bug? Does Apple know about it?

As mentioned, cover flow does not change the basic Finder operation. Return allows editing the name and Cmd-O or Cmd-downarrow opens the item. It also functions similar to the list view, when you open a folder, the subfolders are added to the cover flow; they do not replace the cover flow icons.
