Hybrid business infrastructure: local AD, Exchange and clouds OneDrive, Office Online, Lync

Hi. I'm working on an extension of the company's infrastructure. Approximate infrastructure plan looks like this:
What we need:
- account, email management through the local domain controller (already have it, can be rebuild with local Exchange)
- Office license management through subscription Microsoft Office Online in accordance with the users on the
local AD (already have it, but now we are using two accounts: for local computers and Exchange Online)
- managing User access to the server conferences Lync Online in accordance with the users on the
local AD
- managing access on cloud storage OneDrive Pro
- one login for all company services!!! Now we have 5-6 (((
My questions are:
- Which type of License of Online services we must buy?
- Do we need Windows Azure Active Directory for replication local AD UC for managing OneDrive, Lync, Office Online from local AD?
- Can we later to migrate Lync server to local network as Exchange (hybrid configuration)?
- I know that Windows Azure is available in a test version. Can i try to create my schema as in the picture?

Base on my experience, you could migrate your local ad to windows azure AD . And you could use windows ad to manage your account (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh852415.aspx

Domain on on-premise Exchange and subdomain on Office 365 coexistance

We have a client with, what seems to me, an odd request regarding their exchange topology. They are a small college and have their mail split between on-premise and O365. Their on-premise Exchange 2013 has email setup for domain.com, used by the
faculty. Their O365 is setup for students.domain.com and is sync'd with AD using MSO Dirsync. Currently, the two do not interact at all and is causing issues with staff emailing students. Since they are educational, we have advised them
to move the faculty over to O365, however they throw that option out every time we bring it up. They want to keep their faculty email on premise and leave the students in the cloud. They want these separate, but still want the features
of a single exchange forest. They want the students to be in the address-book, and be able to use distribution lists between the two.
What I'm wondering is if hybrid deployment will allow this to happen. Based off my limited exchange experience, hybrid is used for the same domain across on-premise and O365, not for 2 separate domains. I feel like two separate domains doesn't
really matter, since they are all AD mailboxes anyway.
What I'm asking is if hybrid deployment would be the way to go for this, and if there would be any documentation as the how to this exactly. What I'm finding is documentation on the same domain split between the two, not 1 domain on exchange and 1
domain on O365.

Thanks for the reply! Fortunately for our situation, all the accounts in O365 are deleted at the end of the semester, so to completely rebuild the O365 setup is not out of the question at all.
I guess I'm curious about the specifics for this. I've setup hybrid deployment before for a single domain, so I take it this will be similar. I suppose the DNS wouldn't need to change, right? O365 would receive mail for students.domain.com and the exchange
would receive mail for domain.com. Then they'd each rely on the connectors to send mail back and forth. What about DirSync, would I then need to sync the staff as well as students to O365?
And how about OWA, would the students then access webmail through OWA, or still use O365?
Sorry if any of this is basic, exchange is my weakest skillset.

O365 hybrid conf: exchange on-premise but office online

Hi guys,
we're currently running an hybrid configuration with Exchange on-premise and ADFS syncing users to our O365 tenant.
We haven't started migrating the mailboxes over to O365, however I was wondering, from an end user point of view, how feasible is to start purchasing E3 licenses in order to get Office offline from O365 (rather than purchasing the usual office2013 version) but keeping their mailboxes on-premise?
Is this something that O365 allows you to do?
Have anyone of you ever tried this way of using O365?

With LR5 how can one synchronize work done between a local hard drive and the cloud?

I have the LR5 program on my PC; the data is stored on the computer's hard drive; no problems. In the future if I were to switch to the online LR5 and cloud service could I continue using my PC's hard drive where the photos and catalogs are and have a backup on the Adobe cloud? If yes, is there a way to save all changes to both the local hard drive and cloud? If these two sets of work by synchronized? How does this work?

The Adobe Creative Cloud is not something used with LR how you’re imagining. CC is a licensing and software-delivery mechanism, not a place to store your current working photos in large numbers or a place to run software from or in.
LR CC is not software run in the cloud via a thin client, it’s still just desktop LR licensed via logging into CC with your AdobeID.
LR and your photos are stored locally just like with the serial-number-licensed LR. You can sync local photos back and forth to an iPad via the cloud and you can store a few photos or other project-related files in the 2GB cloud storage, but that’s about it for what the cloud adds.

Microsoft Exchange is not updating local Outlook - Send and Receive issues.

Hi everyone,
Our office has just moved to using Office 365 business edition where we are sending and receiving emails via Microsoft Online Exchange.
It has been running for 3 days so far and we do love the product however we are having a major issue at the moment and that is our local outlook 2010 and 2013 folders are not constantly synching with the exchange. We are finding that it can be hours
before emails push through to our inbox and we will receive 20 emails all at once. It is also occuring when we send emails, they will sit in the Outbox and the only way it seems to get them to send or receive is to close Outlook and re-open the program.
We also find that sometimes when we are out of the office and using the 'Outlook Web App' that emails we send to clients via here and not always synching with the local Outlook its a bit of a mess really. This is not great as we are a legal office
and need to attend to emails urgently at times and must have all emails arrive locally.
Can anyone shed some light on how this matter can be fixed urgently?

Hi,
As far as I know, for the sync issue in the on-premise Exchange server environment, we can check if we have selected the option ”send immediately when connected”:
Outlook 2013: file>options>advanced> send and receive> send immediately when connected
However, since your server is Exchange online, I recommend you ask for more professional help on our Exchange online forum:

What are the steps to publish a local website to Creative Cloud?

Other than a mention of using Business Catalyst, I don't see instructions for publishing a local website to Creative Cloud. A membership includes up to 5 sites. Do you have to publish from Business Catalyst?

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Differences in local Purchasing Contracts and GOA?

Hi all,
I am new to SRM and trying to figure out what are the differences between local purchase contracts and GOA? I know that GOA can be distributed to multiple backend systems whereas the local purchase contracts cannot be. Are there any other differences apart from this? and how does these two make difference to the business?

Hi Kumar,
As mentioned by you GOAs can be distributed to backend systems.
However the major difference between a GOA and a local SRM contract is that with GOA you can create either a contract or a scheduling agreement in the backend R/3 system.
Whenever you refer these contracts / scheduling agreements while creating a P.O in backend the status gets updated in GOA created in SRM.
You can not refer these contracts / S.A s while craeting a P.O in SRM.
Similarly the local SRM contracts can not be refered while creating P.Os in R/3 system.
Hope this makes you more clear and helps in better understanding of the issue. Clarifications are welcome.

Middleware technologies used for data exchange in Cloud for Customer system

Hi Techies,
I would like to know what are the different middleware technologies like ALE,EDI and IDOC, Web Services or any other technology plays role in data exchange between SAP ERP and SAP Cloud for Customer system.
My project includes implementation of SAP Cloud for Sales, I've read many documents and seen various videos for ERP Configuration and Cloud Configuration, I see that there is a standard report that we want to execute and specify the type of data to be exchanged between Cloud for Customer and SAP ERP via SAP NW PI system.
When executing the report we select the IDOC Type and run the report, so once after execution all data is copied to SAP Cloud for Customer system.
What about configuration of IDOCS ? Do we need to maintain port, partner profiles, logical system etc ? as usual we do when working on Interface between SAP to SAP systems ?
Or is it maintained when we make all the communication settings between SAP ERP <-> SAP NW PI <-> SAP Cloud for Customer system ?
Can anyone help to understand this better ?

Hi Gowri,
The standard report does exactly that.
It generates, the ports, partner profiles, RFC destinations and other objects required for communication configuration in SAP to connect to C4C.
If you are not using HCI, you can directly connect to C4C, otherwise you will have to manually edit the RFC destination and provide the HCI worker node URL.
Note that this report is part of an Add On which is applicable only after a specific SAP ECC version.
If you are on lower version, you will have to create them manually.

Has anyone integrated Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 with Enterprise Single Sign-On and Identity Manager (Identity Management)?
Can we achieve it without using Oracle Internet Directory/OracleAS 10g Single Sign-On?
Any relevant information or issues faced during integration, would be helpful.

for this integration you will need Provisioning Gateway component of the ESSO suite, and the included OIM-ESSO PG Connector.
The eBusiness Java interface can be integrated with eSSO, trough the java helper object.

"Local System" Deployment and double hop scenarios

Hi all,
I was wondering if some of you have implemented a good solution dealing with the fact that all ConfigMgr 2012 Applications got executed in local system context and that there is no good solution to execute them with other credentials. We checked the options
in a TS to run with different credentials as well as Network Access Accounts (winrm, remoting)
Both solutions doesn't fit our requirements. We usually deploy some infrastructure components or roles using ConfigMgr 2012. Many of these applications use Cmdlets provided by the vendor to install and configure. Some of these Cmdlets connect back to other
infrastructure components and produce a double hop scenario. Citrix infrastructure components are a good sample.
As it is not allowed to impersonate a user by local system, it's really hard to find a good solution which still allows "natural" powershell scripts without several hacks.
I'think we have found a good solution for creating PSCredentials in our scripts and use them to invoke the commands, but we still see the double hop issue then.
My question is:
- Do you guys face the same issues in real life? How do you deal with "local system" and "domain accounts" used for SW Distribution?
- Do you use CredSSP ? Any hints or suggestions regarding this?
- Any other cool idea to impersonate or address double hop ?

There is no perfect solution to including credentials, but there are some good options out there. One is to use a Task Sequence to deploy your application with the "Run
Command Line" step which allows you the option to "Run this step as the following account". Another option is to include
the password with the PowerShell script.
Both options allow you to remove the hop of executing as Local System by default. Both options have the same drawback that the password is not really securely stored
(they are encrypted somewhat reversibly).

The Network Access Account is (and should be) only used for downloading content from the distribution point. It is not used to execute things locally on the managed device.

The key to all this is to click on/select/highlight the Album that you have created in Local Albums.
Then make sure that the Sort By: (in the row below the highlighted "Media" header is set for Album Order.
You should see a number at the top left of each of thumbnails.
Then, click on the thumbnail that you want to move, hold down the click, and drag the thumbnail to the wanted new location
in the line up of thumbnails.
Often I had to press down hard on the drag.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
Also, in Edit Menu/Preferences/Keyword Tags and Albums/Enable Manual Sorting Options, I set all for manual.

Can I create a local VIP? (not cloud synced)

I am posting this again because I thought of a better way of appoaching it.
Is it possible to have local (not cloud synced) VIP lists in the mail app? For example, my wife and I have on our iPhones cloud notes as well as local notes.
Thus her screen is not cluttered with my notes, and vice-versa.
For a simlar reason, I do not want the VIP list on my Mac, but I want it on our iPhones. Problem is that the VIP list syncs on the cloud. So, is there any way to create local VIP lists (only on the device)?

Yes, if I turn the contacts off on my phone I can create a local list. I was hoping when I turn cloud contacts on the VIP list will stay local, not sync to the cloud. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
(By comparison, notes behave better. Say you have cloud notes on and no local notes. To create a first local note, you must turn the cloud notes off, there is no other way. Then create a local note. Turn cloud notes back one, the note you created stays local. Then you can keep adding local or cloud notes as you wish.)

Sync iPad Calendar to Both Exchange and Outlook on Two Windows 7 PCs

I would like to sync my Outlook 2010/Exchange calendar from my computer at work with my iPad, and then sync my iPad with Outlook 2007 on my home computer. I'd like for the result to be one sync'd up calendar on each device.
I have my iPad set to sync Over The Air with my Exchange calendar from work. It syncs perfectly. I would like to also sync that Exchange calendar, now on my iPad, with my home computer. My home computer is the one that I sync my iPad with via iTunes. That computer runs Windows 7 & Outlook 2007. My home computer does not run exchange and Outlook 2007 at home is simply running as a local .PST file.
My problem has been that the Exchange calendar on the iPad does not sync with Outlook 2007 on my home computer. I have iTunes on my home computer configured to sync my calendar with Outlook 2007 on my home computer, but iTunes has created a second calendar on my iPad called "Calendar" under the "From My PC" heading in the Calendar app. My Exchange calendar shows up on my iPad as "Calendar" under my work email address "[email protected]". The two calendars do not appear to play nicely with each other. The From My PC Calendar only syncs items from my calendar in Outlook 2007 on my Home PC. The "[email protected]" (Exchange) Calendar only syncs with my work PC.
I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve installing anything on my work PC, as technically that machine is locked down and I cannot add any programs.

I had my home computer set up to sync to work's Exchange server. It worked well, but I didn't like seeing work email messages and other programs trying to sync with my default Outlook folder, which was then the Exchange (& work related) .ost file. I know there are various ways to manage those problems using filters, view, subfolders, etc., but it was a hassle for me. I think it could work well for many other folks.
For now, I have published my work calendar and subscribed to that calendar on my home computer. So I have view only access to my calendar on my home computer (and I can add/edit calendar items on my iPad (or Outlook Web Access) when away from work). This is not quite what I wanted, but it may work.
It almost makes me long for the days when I used my Windows Mobile Treo to sync back and forth between exchange at work and outlook at home (but had many sync conflicts as a result).

the intermittent connection problem seams to have been solved after a long visit from the open reach engineer last Friday . Thank you to that chap ! .
i understand that it can take several days to allow our broadband connection to settle , as stated by the best engineer to date of last friday .
he explained what he had found and corrected the problem wonderfull
when you pay top price for unlimited service you expect to get the service you want , not to be told you will be caped at just over 2meg .
upon checking the approx speed available via the BT line speed checker i think the chap that just told me what we can have needs to check the facts first before calling .
our line can take over 10+ meg as we have had in the past before we had this stability problem now that problem has been solved why do we have to put up with only 2meg ?? .
i bet if we only payed an eigth of our monthly bill you i.e BT would be very quick to approach the matter .
so please someone explain why .
