"hybrid" color found in iTunes's "Devices - iPod" usage meter

Hi there,
I don't believe this is a quirk with iTunes, but it still eludes me nonetheless. I noticed it this morning for the first time when disconnecting my iPod.
Granted, we have that handy color-coded usage meter showing how much storage space we have left on the iPod (click on the iPod icon under the Devices tab in the sidebar if you are unsure what I'm referencing), along with the type of media occupying the used space and each having its own unique color: blue for music, yellow for photos, purple for video, orange for the mysterious "other", etc.
This morning, I noticed for the first time that I have a strange indigo-colored section, spliced somewhere between where the music (blue) and video (purple) are indicated.
The only thing I could possibly equate this to was space allocated for "Music Videos" (the obvious hybrid between Music and Video).
I couldn't come up with any effective search results on the board - I was curious if some Level 3+'s noticed this, and could shed some light on what indigo could indicate.
(FYI - I would love to have provided a screenshot, but I am at work at the moment)

Never did get a solid answer on this one, but judging from the fact that others out there see this indigo in the iPod spectrum, I'm going to say that it is from Music Videos.
I'm going to leave this one as unanswered until I'm daring enough (or bored enough, depending upon your point of view...) to delete the Music Videos from my iPod and see if the color changes.

I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.

I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Sync works the same way it always has, connect the device, select the content desired to sync and sync.
All the media should be in iTunes already, iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
If this is a new computer, move the content from the old computer to the new computer.

Thanks - I didn't realize that. I'm also embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to transfer the audio files from my iPod to the iTunes library on my computer. When I select a book from the list on the iPod, the only option I see with the right-facing arrow symbol is "Show in iTunes Store ". I back the iPod up to this computer so I guess those files must be on it somewhere, but all I can recognize in the iTunes folder under " Music" are the music files found in the "iTunes Music" folder. (There are also a ton of files named "iTunes Temp (some #).) The Books list on the computer shows some but not all of the audiobooks - I purchased the rest on a different computer that is now unfortunately dead. I'm guessing now that those didn't transfer over when the new computer was populated from the old one, so the iPod may be the only place where those audiobooks now reside. I hope that made some sense- any additional advice would be appreciated.

IPod nano 7th gen not found in iTunes/"no disc in drive" Windows computer.

I bought a brand new iPod nano 7th generation yesterday. When I plugged it into my Windows computer it began set up then stopped and a pop up appeared ''no disc in drive'' directly after that the next pop up read ''iPod cannot sync because it was not found''. My iPod is charging the entire time until that second pop up appears and then my iTunes acts as if the device was unplugged from the computer, it stops charging and at the top of my iTunes screen it says "OK to disconnect". I tried putting my iPod into "disk mode" but the same two pop ups still come up and the same thing happens. And even though iTunes recognizes the iPod as being unplugged even before it is, even after I do unplug it my computer still thinks it's attached, down in my tool bar it's still there waiting to be disconnected. As soon as iTunes begins starting up with my iPod it says there's no disc and then that the iPod can't be found even though it's still plugged in. I can't get any music on it let alone get my computer to recognize it for longer than 30 seconds. I really don't want to return it because my iPhone4 is full and can't fit any more music so I needed this iPod.

I would recommend the steps in this article named iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. While the title of the article describes a symptom a bit different from yours, I feel the troubleshooting is still relevant.
If that does not resolve the issue, then I would suggest this article to help troubleshoot the USB connection.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until the screen goes dark. The Apple logo should appear after a few seconds, then the Home screen should appear.

THe instructions I read indicate d I'd receive an email from Find My Iphone App with the unlock code...I never received this message/code. THe screen message says "ipod isdisabled: connect to itunes" I've tried to backup and restore, have tried to wipe it remotely using "find my iphone' and have followed the instructions on apple support to enable...none of these have been successful. Basically the ipod is in locked mode and will not resond. When I tried to restore it using itunes, a message indicating that it could be neither restored nor backed up because it was locked with a passcode...anyone else had this problem and what is the fix? THansk!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Ipod touch is not formatted one way or the other at all.
Just sync it to the new computer using itunes.

Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! i have a ipod video 30G and not so long ago i had a problem with it it was frozen so i put it in the computer then it said that somthing was corrupted it said restore your ipod so i did but i don't have all my ipod songs on 1 computer but on 3 but 2 of them crashed and almost all my songs are gone so it was about to restore i pulled out my ipod and let the battery drain then later in the day i put it in the ipod charger and it worked again and i still had all my songs(luckly)and now i want to put new one's on it put my ipod is not found by itunes but is found by windows i've tried everything it says to do if your ipods not found but it's still not working can anyone help?please!
