Hyper Draw Bug or Operator Bug?

When using HyperDraw, in an Arrange or Matrix Window, I try to Shift-Select (by shift-clicking or rubber banding) a non-contiguous number of nodes, I will mostly get all nodes in between as well but sometimes shift-clicking makes no selection at all.
This is quite different from the description in the manual.
Maybe I have overlooked some setting elsewhere preventing what I need to do? I hope so.
Any suggestions?

Aarrgghh. I know part of the problem is that I don't quite grok Aperture's model yet. But, still, something is not right.
I had created a new project called "Trips". In that project I created an album. If I selected photos from the "All Photos" smart album, I could put them in that album in that other project. But the photos still weren't in that other project. Just the album. This seems wrong, but I'm not sure.
So, instead of creating a project called Trips, I created a top-level folder. In that, I created an album for my one trip. Once again, I could select photos from another project. When I dragged them to the new album, I got a green "+". But when I dropped them, nothing happened. But, if I drag them from "All Photos" it works.
That can't be right. If I can put photos from any project into an album, I should be able to do it from anywhere. If I can't, I shouldn't be able to do it from "All Photos." If anyone knows which is right, let me know. Also, if anyone knows how to file a bug, let me know -- I will file this one with a good use case description.

Unable to use Hyper Draw on some projects

I might be doing something wrong, but all of a sudden in one of the current projects I'm working on I can't use Hyper Draw in the Piano roll view. I can't see any current automation or draw any new modulation, sustain, volume etc. I have had to revert to using track automation, which works OK.
If I start up a new project I can use Hyper Draw in the Piano roll and it appears to work on other completed projects. Have I changed a setting or parameter in the project that it won't work in, or is it a known bug?

Hyper Draw graph is invisible

Hi,
A new bug has come (possible with any Apple update). Sometimes the Hyper draw is invisible. An example is if you select a track, an object, open Piano roll, open Hyper draw for Velocity - you can't see the graph. Or if you change from one object to another - the graph will not update with that objects graph but instead becomes... invisible.
Any help is appreciated It used to work.

Do not close the matrix editor window. Each time you open the matrix editor it will resize the layout. You should read the chapter about "Screensets". This way your settings will be saved and you can easily switch between editors.

Hyper draw velocity question

When I'm editing velocities using hyper draw, sometimes it moves all values up or down, and sometimes it moves all values closer or further from the middle (changing the dynamic range instead of changing all volumes in one direction). It seemed like it chose between the two based on where I grabbed the values, but I could never figure it out and I don't see it in the manual.
And this seems to have been a L7 thing, with L8 now I can't seem to do the one that changes dynamic range at all.
Can anyone lend a hand on this, it's been bugging me forever. Thanks.

Searching the L8 online manual for 'velocity tool' reveals this:
+All selected notes can be altered simultaneously; the differences in their respective velocity values will be retained. If the velocity value of any of the selected notes reaches an extreme value (0 or 127), none of the other selected notes can be adjusted further.+
+You can override this behavior by holding Option while dragging. This allows you to continue altering the velocity values until the selected (clicked) note reaches an extreme value. It goes without saying that this will alter the velocity relationship of this note to the other notes.+

Hyper draw doesn't appear unless you set Hyperdraw/Articulation ID

From the last 2 or 3 version Logic has an annoying behaviour on score window: Hyper draw doesn't appear unless you set Hyperdraw/Articulation ID/Any or None...
This procedure has 3 minus points:
1. The editing is slowed down
2. Every time you close and reopen the score window YOU HAVE TO REDO IT!!!!
3. What is it for?.....
It was better before...

For Radeon 7000, you need to:
pacman -S xf86-video-ati
You need to load those modules in /etc/rc.conf:
MODULES=(agpgart via-agp)
And in xorg.conf:
Driver "radeon"

How to copy volume automation to expression in hyper draw?

I want to copy the volume automation I've drawn into a track and place it as expression data in hyper draw. Another way to accomplish this would be to create expression (controller 11) as another parameter in the automation parameter view then I could just copy the volume automation to expression automation. I'm missing a piece to the puzzle here somehow, I bet this can be done but haven't been able to find the way. Help for a neophyte if you please!

First go into Track>automation>convert track automation to region automation.
Then open the Hyper editor.
If your volume lane isn't there go into the Hyper menu and choose "create hyper set for current events" - or use the inspector.
Click the lane header, so the volume lane is selected, and in the same menu and choose "convert event definition" - change it to 11 in the right hand box that appears.

LIST of keystrokes\shortcuts to open windows, eg. mixer to hyper-draw?

I know it's somewhere in there, in that fat manual. I keep putting off the long look.
So much has changed since Logic 6. I'd love to know where to find the LIST of shortcuts to change windows - e.g. to jump from piano to mixer to hyper-draw.
And the shortcuts to bring up the individual tools.

Hyper draw graphic bug?

Can anyone confirm this? When I draw in hyper edit data or move track automation to a region, the display in the arrange page is one quarter note later than the data that shows up in the event list. Needless to say this makes editing data difficult.

I had this happen occasionally, also in a different way using the Marquee tool and the scissors differing fom the position of the mouse click. Seems like corrupted projects. What helped me sometimes is moving the Song position start from 0 1 1 1 to 1 1 1 1 although this should not at all affect the position of the tools being in sync with the timeline of the project. But this therapy not always works so this is an annoying issue happening from time to time.

Lumia 900 Screen Draw bug

Found an interesting bug on a few lumia 900's (i have tried it on 4 and all show it) that may affect certain games, especially Harbor Master for me since it involved drawing lines to the screen edge.
The problem is that if you draw one straight line from the left edge of the screen to the right edge (or the other way around), the end of the right edge (about 1 cm wide) doesnt acknowledge the line drawing unless the line is drawn very slowly.
To reproduce the bug, open the nokia diagnostic tools and run the 'Touch' test. To get the diagnostics tool if you dont, just dial ##634# using the touchpad.
Draw a line fro the left edge to the right edge quickly and you will see what i mean. Or from the right to left. The same thing happens if drawn from top to bottom.

1. I notice it is when I go to unlick my phone there is a noticable lag. When I pres the first digit of the PIN it doesn't register until after I have tapped the second characetr of the PIN.
2a. When the phone is charging it is VERY laggy. This is especaiily noticable when scrolling the start screen. Instead of the buttery smooth scrolling it is very choppy.
2b. I have also noticed the slow response when plugging/unplugging the phone. Just today after I unplugged my phone it toook several minutes for it to acknowledge it had been unplugged. As long as that occurs I see the issua of 2a (choppy scrolling, etc.) as is if it were still plugged in.
3. The entire device seems to momentarily freeze when the brightness automatically adjusts.
4. At times the typing in any text box (email, text meassage, etc.) seems to fall behind. It is most noticable when first starting the message (maybe the brightness is changing?).
I have those EXACT Same issues too. Will also not that the brightness (when on auto) is SLOW to adjust to the lightting enviroment. The biggest pain is #1 - as i usually have to enter my PIN in twice..
I love my purple screen, 1/2 day battery, sketchy touch screen and $800 price tag - I call it my Lumia 900

Velocity Input Curve Drawing Bug

Hi,
I'm trying to scale the midi velocity input of my controller by drawing a curve. However, when I draw the curve in the "velocity input" window, my trackpad pointer is offset. That is, it doesn't select where I click. Highly annoying bug. Any ideas?

Graphics re-draw bug in main Hyperdraw window?

Hi there,
I'm struggling to explain this one clearly, but I'll give it a go....:
When moving or copying a multiple-selection of events in Hyperdraw (e.g. copying 2 bars of pitchbend), the ghost-outlines created to show the potential new position of the events (before you let go of the mouse) get repeatedly drawn across the grid (as you move the mouse around) without the 'old' ghost-outlines clearing, thus making it very tricky to know where you're dropping the copied events to because the entire grid-line is filled with ghostlines....
Can anyone else replicate this problem? It looks like a bug from where I'm sitting....

Macintosh:
a.) When you have multiple windows open at once and you "step
back" from them in Expose to view them all at once, some or all of
them display as blank white sheets.
b.) When you drag a window to reposition it on your screen,
it displays in both locations until you click on it in its new
location.
c.) Sometimes when you mousedown + drag your cursor over a
bit of text to highlight it, the highlighting fails to show on the
screen, although the text you have chosen is in fact selected and
can be cut, copied, etc.
d.) Suddenly and inexplicably a page of text will start
displaying in a different font than the one you chose, and you have
to quit and reopen the document to get the font back.
I'm curious to know if I am unique in experiencing these
problems, or whether they are common. I suspect the latter, since I
am using a Mac Pro that is pretty much out-of-box, with the
original graphics card and so forth. Or is there some other
software I could have on my computer that could possibly interfere
with DW working properly.

Hyper Editor Bug

Hi, everythings been fine but over the last few days, i have noticed that i will be working away then all of a sudden the volume slider of the channel i'm on suddenly jumps to +2.6 db. (always 2.6)
I have no idea why this has started happening and it's really getting annoying now.
When i record on a midi channel, it will record the jump in level in the hyper editor which leads me to believe that it is something to do with that and not automation.
I'm not sure but i know it's **** annoying.
Any help would really be appreciated, thanks guys

Same here. I usually right click when I' done my actual entry to get the mouse to let go. Then I have to undo the extra info inserted before the release. Annoying, but workable.
