Hyper-V Not Enabling on Build 10041 of the Windows Technical Preview

So I am running build 10041 of the Windows technical preview. I am not able to enable the Hyper-V Platform. Here are the steps:
Go to Control Panel -> Program and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off - > Select Hyper-V Platform Checkbox.
Windows will perform the install and request a restart.
While restarting, I will get the updating windows message and at about 95 % it gives me a message to the tune of "Unable to update windows" and it roll backs the changes and restarts. No Hyper-V.
Note that I can install the Hyper-V tools with out any issues just the Hyper-V Hypervisor and Hyper-V services will not install.
Anyone have any ideas?
Can't provide an answer, but I have the same problem. I'd originally let my 9926 build, with Hyper-V installed and working, upgrade to the 10041 build. After installation things seemed OK, until I noticed I had no network connections working. They were all
still there, but I had no network access and trying to view the properties of either my physical NIC or the Hyper-V switches just gave me an error.
I tried uninstalling Hyper-V, but after doing that Windows wouldn't boot at all. It'd begin to start up, get almost to the login screen, but then die and reboot. I decided a rebuild would probably be best anyway, so I chose to do a Refresh when it offered
me the advanced repair options.
The Refresh mostly went well, the PC is running better now with a clean install, but I'm now stuck in the same situation where the Hyper-V server won't install. It installs, reboots, gets part way through configuring, then claims to fail and backs it all
out again. No real diagnostic info presented as to why.

To fix your issue is too complicated and lengthy to go into all of it here, it will require the services of person very familiar and experienced with Mac's to first recover your data and then restore OS X back to a functional state, then hopefully achieve the goals you were attempting.
I advise you hire the services of a local Mac computer support technician experienced in these matters.
Have them look at your Wifi and computer backup proceedures in the process.

Windows 10 TP build 10041 seen as Windows 8.1 OS when imported to a Deployment Share

Hi all,
I tried to import the Windows 10 TP build 10041 as operating system to a new deployment share created with MDT 2013 U1.
I referenced the DVD iso image of Windows 10 Technical Preview 10041 and os type was recognized as Windows 8.1. Is there a plan to fix this issue?

Hi Michael, unfortunately it does not. I updated MDT with the new files, but I think that problem is inside the image of Windows 10 TP build 10041. Let's have a look to the output of imagex /info d:\sources\install.wim command from ADK for Windows 10 to
the install.wim file inside the .iso image.

Suppress "Warning: Automatic update is not enabled..." when installing Windows role or feature with Powershell

I've written a powershell script to prep server for SCCM 2012 and the only annoyting thing I can't seem to get rid of is the yellow warning message that appears as a result of installing new Windows roles/features. The specific message is: "Warning:
Automatic updating is not enabled. To ensure that your newly-installed role or feature is automatically updated, turn on Windows Update."
Is there an "undocumented" silent switch that I can append to the "Install-WindowsFeature" command-let that suppresses this?

When trying to access a puzzle site, it states that java is not enabled.
Ihave enabled java for the firefox browser in my control panel but am still denied website access. Now what?

The message is "Sorry, you must have javascript enabled to view this site."
Despite similar names, Java and javascript are completely unrelated. Unfortunately, even with javascript enabled on my system, I get this message when using Safari, on 10.4.10.
I don't know if the bug is in Safari or the website itself, but a simple solution is to install Firefox. Having a second browser installed is a handy thing for situations like this.

Need to create, build, or obtain the Windows 7 INSTALLATION media, not the recovery stuff

I want to be able to install Windows 7 on a Thinkpad WITHOUT all the factory installed stuff. I DO NOT NEED the recovery image "solution" that comes preinstalled on the laptop. I need to be able to create a clean Windows 7 installtion that we can image and deploy without the preloaded stuff.
Basically, is there a way, and if so, how do I create a Windows 7 INSTALLATION media, not the recovery stuff? If this can't be done, do I need to purchase the media from Lenovo? An example of what I'm looking for: Dell makes it very easy to do this. You can create the Windows 7 installation media. Just like the Windows XP and 2000 CD/DVD's they used to ship.

I'm taking a guess that you're looking for a vanilla Win 7 installer download. As sarbin said, if that's not your issue, please start another thread. (At least this will update that stale link - for a while.)

Problem installing Windows Technical Preview build 9926

I am not able to install the Technical Preview on my computer. Everything looks fine and in the end it says "applying computer settings" and counts the percents before it reboots again.
During the boot it says evaluation build 9926. Then it says Restoring the old windows as it was before... I can't get this to work.
This is the windowsupdate.log file and the last attempt of installing at the end of the file. 21st of march.

Preview Build Section gone from Windows Tech Preview

So, I noticed that after updating to Windows Tech Preview Build 9860, the preview build section is gone from my settings in zPC settings. Is this a glitch or did Microsoft temporally remove it? Thanks.

It's there, you're just not looking in the right place.
There are two settings Apps - PC Settings and zPC Settings.
Look in PC Settings, under
Update and recovery. The Preview builds section is there in build 9860.

Recently when I'm running Firefox (I think usually during downloads) the system will hang, but allows me to close the browser (at least it appears to close -- not showing up as running in the Windows Task Manager).

But when I try to open Firefox again, I get this error message: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. But I can't find any way to close Firefox. I have been in the tools section and went to options and under the privacy section I have selected to remember the passwords and it does not. I also went into the security section and checked the remember the password section and it does not remember them.My exception are empty in security section also. I installed or updated to iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later for Windows and signed in, but when I go to iCloud Photos I see a message that it's not enabled. I go to the iCloud Control Panel won't allow a ck mark to be put, pls help!

You might not have the plugin for Firefox installed. Adobe has two different versions of Flash - one for Internet Explorer and another for Firefox. Internet Explorer uses ActiveX. You can check if Firefox has the plugin by going to:
* Tools > Add-ons > Plugins, or
* [Image: New Fx Menu] > Add-ons > Plugins
In Firefox, go to this link and Adobe should give you right correct installer:
