Hyper-v on HP Prodesk 400 G1 SFF

Does Prodesk 400 G1 SFF support Hyper-V, if so where is the setting in the BIOS to enable? As it now it seems it does not support. ThanksAshra

Hi,
Can you please provide more details on how you "accidentally" encrypted the HDD?
I have used encryption tech and found it requires some degree of thought to accomplish the goal.

  • HP ProDesk 400 G1 - Cannot "see" wireless connections

I just purchased this machine; it's running Windows 7 Pro. It does not see or recognize any wireless networks, even though there are about a dozen in my immediate neighborhood, including the one in my house to which my other computers are connected.
I have opened the network and sharing center and run the troubleshooting routine, and the message I get suggests that I plug in an ethernet cable or use a dial-up connection since there are no wireless connections. I have tried everything I know to get this solved, butr have run out of ideas. I know it is not the network itself, as my other machines connect with no problems. Please help. (I should be under warranty, but for some reason my serial number is not recognized and so I can't get to the warranty center online.)

I've just been shopping for the same model HP and have discovered that the base model of this particular series does not include integrated wireless. It only ships with an ethernet port (RJ-45). Looking at the system configuration control console should allow you to see how the system is set up.
If you're not configured with wireless access hardware, you may need to order a wireless LAN card or use a USB wireless device in order to find the local networks. If you are configured with wireless and still can't connect, you'll need to consider a local tech or having the system returned for warranty service if it's still covered.

  • HP ProDesk 400 G1 MT

Hi we have a problem here at our company... We have these computers (listed in subject) and they're not working good with intel i3 4150 processors. Whenever you reset the computer it gets stuck, so you have to unplog the power cord and plug it back in for the computer to start again. We tried upgrading the bios but it had no effect. Intel i3 4130 works fine but this one has a problem. If someone at HP could help maybe. Hope i wrote this to the right forum. Thank you in advance

Did you try and perform any kind of driver updates? Try Softpaq Download Manager (www.hp.com/go/sdm) and see what it suggestes to update - only do h/w driver updates. Also, install the latest 'essential system updates' softpaq Also, if you have more than one of the models with the new i3 processor, are they all failing or just one?

  • Embed Tumult Hype in Muse

I am trying to embed an interactive graphic created in Tumult Hype into a Adobe Muse website. I manually uploaded the hype file to my server, then used an iframe to display the file in muse. But the file is cropped off in Muse, and I can't figure out why.
The original hype file is 700 x 400, as is the iframe.
If I type the direct route to the graphic in a browser, it displays fully:
    NewBengHype
Yet in the muse embed, it is cropped off:
Playoffs | Michael Nyerges Informational Graphics • Visual Storytelling
This is the iframe code I used:
    <iframe width=“700” height=“400" frameborder="0" src="http://www.michaelnyerges.com/NewBengHype/NewBengHype.html"></iframe>
Any idea how I'm screwing this up?

I know this is likely of very little help, but my best bet is that by adding a Hype generated page in an iframe in Muse, the links to any other resources that Hype uses to generate the page might no longer be valid.
I've not worked with Hype, so I can only compare it to working with Adobe Edge Animate as a tool for building interactive HTML animation, and bringing an Edge Animate animation into Muse. In that case you export all of the contents into a bundled package (.oam file) and place that file into Muse direct, all the scripts, images, required html etc. is all bundled inside that file.
There might be some reference in the Hype documentation about exporting for use in other sites/applications?

  • SCCM2012/MDT2013 - HP PRODESK 600 G1 - Nic Drivers

    HI all
wondering if anyone out there can helpme, trying a SCCM/MDT deployment for a client, they have a Desktop HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF and i cannot for the life of my get the damn Nic driver to work. i have downlaoded all the drivers i can find for this model and
    none seem to work.
I have injected the WinPe 3/4/5 drivers available and all the drivers for windows 7/8
Nothing im tearing my hair out please help
    Chris

It's quite possible that you now have too many drivers in your boot image. Save all the possible drivers to a USB drive and try again. This time, at a command prompt, use drvload.exe to load each driver in turn to establish if it works (ie you get an IP
    address).
See here for correct use of drvload.exe

  • HP-Tools on Windows 7 Home Premium

I just bought a ProDesk 400 G1 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I noticed that it had 4 "Primary" paritions pre-configured including the "E" drive as HP-Tools.
I need to install UniVerse 11.n on drive "E" to avoid a great deal of configuration issues, so I wanted to re-name the HP-tools drive to "H" at a minimum.  I also would like to re-partition the drive, creating an extended partition and logicals under it.  Will the HP-tools work if set as a logical partition?

  • Can't find the driver that MDT wants

We just got a new HP model (the ProDesk 600 G1 SFF), and I cannot get it to connect to MDT via PXE. I get the error that it cannot connect to the deployment share because a networking device did not have a driver installed. The device ID I get is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_153A&SUBSYS_18E7103C&REV_04
The driver I've imported into MDT has the exact same hardware ID, but without the REV number at the end. Searching for the full ID on Google finds no results. It also does not appear on pcidatabase.com. I imported that driver directly from the CD that came
with the PC. I tried contacting Intel, but they sent me to HP because it is an integrated ethernet adapter. HP had me update the chipset, and I loaded those drivers to MDT as well. Still no luck. HP then told me to contact Microsoft.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

The HwID in the INF does not need to have the entire string. If the INF only says VEN_8086&DEV_153A then it will work with all SUBSYS versions. Same with REV numbers.
Intel has 3 different drivers for this NIC, labelled NDIS61 (Vista), 62 (7) and 63 (8).
See my post here for a download from Intel. Make sure you are using the correct driver.

  • MDT 2013 and HP Elite 8300 CMT don't work

    Hi!
I've got a Problem with booting into PE 5.0 on HP 8300 CMT with MDT2013
I always get Boot error: 0xc000000e, Info: unexpected error
I have allready injected all drivers (storage, NIC, graphics) but it doesn't work.
Problem exists with Litetouch-Partition and even when booting from USB-Stick (which perfectly works on Prodesk 400)
    Any clues?

It is not clear to me if you are getting this problem when booting up WinPE, or after the OS is placed on the local hard disk, and booting into
Are you booting into uEFI mode or CSM mode? Crack open your bdd.log file after booting into WInPE, and search for isuefi.
Additionally, did you modify the diskpartitioning layout for your task sequence? If so you may have not set things up right, create a new task sequence with the partition set to 100% (the default).

  • BIOS update install will not complete

    Hi,
    My first post....
I have an HP ProDesk 400 G1 MT desktop PC running Windows 7-Pro 64-bit with SP1.
HP Support Assistant prompted me to download and install an important BIOS update (L02). My current version is 02.01 (22/9/2013)
However, having downloaded the update from HP Support Assistant, the install commenced but would not complete (the black "x" symbol next to "Installing" did not turn into a green "tick". There are no error messages.
    Any help would be apreciated.

  • M3 metric isolation mounting guide screws

I need to mount a 500 GB 2.5" hard drive in a HP Prodesk 600 G1 SFF and I do not have any additional M3 metric isolation mounting guide screws.  The service manual states that these can be ordered fro HP.  Does anyone know where on HP's site these can be found?

Hi, There is very little information about the compatibilty of the AMD R9 380 and HP ProDesk 400 G1. You have a fairly new PC so there is a good chance that the AMD R9 380 will work. Know what the return policy is before you buy.
