Hyper-V switch network errors

An RDP access from my iPad2 using Microsoft RDP client 8.03 received a black screen with no sign that keystrokes worked. After a bunch of testing (see below) I discovered that when using the PCName for RDP access on the iPad, the Hyper-V NIC was being accessed
but failed to work properly. Using the Host OS NIC IP address RDP worked fine with the Microsoft iPad RDP client.

This is not the first Hyper-V Switch NIC problem. A number of times in the past I would have strange networking problems where Internet connectivity would fail or devices on a local network could not be reached. Eventually I began unplugging devices and
removing the Hyper-V USB NIC solved the problem.

When using the Microsoft RDP client v 8.03 on my iPad2 for the first time I was disappointed. I connected and attempted a login but the screen went black except for the mouse and keyboard icons and I was unable to gain access to the Windows 8.1 PC.
Event log
* I created a profile with ID, PW and MachineName and was able to connect.
* The initial RDP session returned a wrong password error
* I keyed in the correct password
* The screen went black except for the mouse and keyboard control icons on the top
* I tried ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+alt+end, ESC, and a few other keystrokes but there was no response
* I closed the program and connected back to the RDP host a few times over a 30 minute period and the same problems occurred
* I noticed that the login screen said there were updates that needed to be installed on the PC
* I attempted a login at the physical PC and was denied access with a 'busy with RDP' error
* I went to the PC and ran the Windows updates and rebooted
* Event attempt form the iPad gets the error "Unable to connect to remote PC. Please verify Remote Desktop Is enabled, the remote PC is turned on and available on the network, and then try again"
* I connected without problem to the RDP machine using another Windows 8 PC
* I created a new profile in the Microsoft iPad RDP application using the IP address instead of the PC name and the connection worked.
My Solution:
If a connection using the PCname fails, try using the IP address instead. In my case, the Host OS NIC works fine but the Hyper-V switch NIC fails.
It seems that the cause could be the Hyper-V switch or a local routing issue.
I would appreciate a suggestion on how to test and identify the true cause

Since you used Microsoft RDP for Ipad ,I suggest you try using Windows RDP client to connect VM to narrow down this issue.

Windows Server 201? Are you sure?
What sort of machine are you trying to install and run Hyper-V on? What OS is it running?

Update IOS 7.0.4 Network Error 9006

I just update my iphone to IOS 7.0.4 but i facing trouble with it. During processing file, it keep pop out says my network error 9006 and whole thing just stoped. I have already tried lots of time but it could not work. i also have tried deauthorise, signing out, rebooting iphone and switching it off but all do not work. My iphone keep ask me to connect it to the itunes. i do not what to do. please help ..urgent =(

Configure your security software
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.
Common errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.

RoboSource Network Error on Get

Hello!
I've just upgraded to a new computer, switching from XP to Win 7 and upgrading from RH7 to RH8. My problem doesn't appear to be with RH, though, it's with RoboSource.
Whenever I try to Get a project, the project fails after getting about 70% of the files, with the error message "A network error has occurred. The full error text was 'A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.' "
The Get effort fails at exactly the same place at every attempt. Here's what we've tried and nothing has worked:
-Uninstall/reinstall, cleaning the registries, etc. in between
-Logging in as a different user from my computer
-Creating a new user account on my computer
-Switching network cables and ports
-Moving my hard drive to a different computer to rule out computer hardware problems
-Changing the local directory for the Get
None of these work: the Get fails at 2247 files/130 folders, size 8,9388,190 bytes each time. Note that my colleague can Get the project from her computer when logged in as me or logged in as her, whereas I cannot Get the entire project from my computer when logged in as either of us. I can still log in from my previous computer and Get the project successfully.
The IT people report that our SQL server logs are not reporting any errors.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I get a network error that pops up that says model_ERROR_BIND and tells me to check the network settings. But all is working fine. Any ideas what to do to fix this error.

I get a pop message that says there is a network error. The message is MODEL_ERROR_BIND. Please help. The network seems to be working fine.

You have some other problem with your boot drive that has corrupted data backed up to the TimeMacine drive.
My advice is to boot into each operating system and manually backup just your Users files each to separate regular external drives (no Timemachine or backup software) and disconnect.
Make a note of any serial numbers, emails, address book contacts, export bookmarks etc. that isn't typically in your users folders data.
You might be able to Winclone 3 the Windows as a whole thing as it's appearing not to have issues but it's your MacintoshHD partition that is so that will have to be rebuilt from scratch.
Most commonly used backup methods
If your OS X parititon doesn't boot, you can use this to recover files.
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
Without any further detail about your machine I can't advise specifically what to do, but it involves using Disk Utility to Zero Erase (move slider one spot to the right or in 10.6 using Security Option) the ENTIRE boot drive and reformatting, then installing OSX fresh and then setting up BootCamp again.
If you wish to switch your boot drive for something better, this is a good time to do this.
Install/upgrade RAM or storage drive in Mac's
If your machine is capable of Internet Recovery, then use that, then upgrade.
If your machine came with 10.6 or earlier, then use the 10.6 install disks and work up from there.

Network Error viewing large pdf

I'm running into problems trying to use the Adobe Reader plugin for IE to view some large PDFs in the browser window. Apparently, the PDF fails to completely download to the browser. I've seen two slightly different behaviors:
1) When IE tries to view one of these PDFs, it will display a Loading progress bar. Usually, the progress bar will just stop before getting too far. For example: "Loading 832.5 KB/16.91MB". Attempting to view the same file again will result in similar behavior - stopping at a different place on the progress bar. Repeating this will eventually result in IE displaying a page that indicates a connection problem: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
2) Viewing the PDF in the browser will display the Loading progress bar, but before it completes, this message is displayed by Adobe Reader: "A network error occurred while accessing this document on the Internet. Would you like to close the document or reload it?"
Clicking the reload button then yields this error: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.
Repeating the view attempt a few times eventually gives the same general IE error page described in scenario 1.
Scenario 1 seems to occur when the request is sent to a server that is sitting behind firewalls, load balancers, etc. The second condition happens when I'm using servers in the lab where there is nothing between my client and the server, other than a switch.
This only occurs when using HTTPS. If configure the server to use HTTP, then the PDF will always be viewed. This has restricted my ability to watch the traffic between the client and the server with a packet analyzer.
This only occurs with the IE plugin. Using Chrome and Firefox with the Adobe Reader plugin works every time.
It only seems to be occurring on large PDF files: the files I've been working with are all 10MB or larger.
I tried disabling the "fast web view" option in Adobe Reader, but this didn't seem to have any effect on the problem.
I disabled the option to display a PDF file in the browser window, and then the PDF file will be downloaded and opened properly in the Adobe Reader application. So it only happens with the PDF is displayed in the browser window.
I've been running my tests using IE 9 (9.0.8112.16421) and Reader plugin 10.1.3, but I've had reports from customers of similar behavior from earlier versions of the browser and reader. The web server is IIS 7.
I found several PDFs on the internet with which I've duplicated the problem. Here's an example PDF file that shows this problem.

many of which will also reproduce the error. However, because the problem only happens when going over HTTPS, I had to download the files and import them into my system which uses HTTPS to see the problem.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm not sure what to look at next.

Making a Hyper-V Switch into a Logical Router

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to turn the Hyper-V switch it self into some sort of Layer 3 Networking device. I've seen topics online here and there about Software Defined Networking and Networking Virtualization that list, as part of Hyper-V
Switch capabilities, a logical router. I have in the past simply installed an RRAS Server as a VM and used it to bridge an Internal Network with an External Network however, I thought I should ask since it sounds like such awesome optimization feature.
It would be great if this little overhead switch had some Layer 3 capabilities. I have heard that the Hyper-V Switch is capable of NVGRE which would do the trick but I haven't been able to expose it.
I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro however, I have some Server 2012 boxes I can play on as well. I hope this isn't a 2012 R2 feature.

Windows Server 2012 R2 shipped a virtualization gateway as part of the RRAS role.
This means you can have a complete setup of network virtualization within your datacenter, by using only Microsoft technologies.
NVGRE is used for encapsulating the packets, and a VM running on a dedicated host for network virtualization is a requirement.

In-app purchases won't download again, "network error"

Hi,
I have the Rock Band app installed on my iPhone. It worked perfectly fine until now, I made a couple of in-app purchases to get more songs and they downloaded properly.
But a few days ago, EA Games announced that they would discontinue the game on iPhone after July 31st. As a consequence, all players should make sure they restore their purchases so that they can keep playing after this date.
That's what I did, but ended up with a message "network error, check your parameters and try again" (not sure it's the exact wording in English, mine speaks French!). I tried again many times, with the "restore purchases" button or the different song packs. It know I own them already, asks me if I want to download again for free and then gives me the error message.
I shut the app, reopened it: no change. I switched my phone off then on again: no change. I deleted and reinstalled the app: no change + I lost all my previously downloaded tracks that were still in the game.
I checked the internet and a lot a people seem to be having this problem, but I couldn't find any solution.
Can someone please tell me what to do?
I have several packs that are all going to be lost tomorrow when I paid for them!

What happens when you try:
You can try the standard fixes:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

am using windows 8, 64 bit system inside VMWARE in Ubuntu 14.04 . I have intel core i3 processor.

my understand is: "we can use Hyper v, instead of Virtual box or as VMware player". I think in windows 8, hyper v server is not installed. does that is the problem? Why do we use it ?

Windows Hyper-v is bare-metal hypervisor .
Please try to install win8 on real hardware then enable hyper-v to install VM .

Switch Workspace error message after update to 4.5.1

I don't think this is a big deal compared to some of the other upgrade issues people seem to be having, but when I launch 4.5.1 I get the "Switch Workspace" error message. Checking the box seems to make it go away the next time I launch FB 4.5.1.
When I upgraded from FB4 to FB4.5 I exported my workspaces/projects over a new directory, which was kind of a pain. Checking that "Do not... " is probably the better approach if it doesn't affect the workspace.

Digital Editions is supported via webcase only, at http://www.adobe.com/support/contact. There is no phone support, so if you phoned support and were given an incorrect answer we'd like to know (the correct answer would have been to create a support case for you!)
If you have more specifics on where you were told that there was no support except forums please let me know so we can attempt to correct it.

"441 Could not authenticate..."
This means that the request back to the authentication server failed for some reason. There can be a number of reasons for this. If this is an ebook from a vendor contact the vendor first and make certain it's not an activation error on their end. Also check to see if you get similar errors on the free books at http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/. Errors with the free books would indicate a possible network problem such as a firewall or some caching preventing the call back to the activation server from working.

Network Error... help!

About 2 months ago I switched high-speed providers and now I can no longer publish my website or use my isight in iChat...
Do you have any suggestions? I have checked my firewall to make sure that no ports were blocked, and the provider did the same. The text error that iWeb gives me says network error, contact network administrator...

As far as I know, iWeb publishing uses the WebDAV protocol which operates over Port 80, which is the same port that your web surfing goes through, so unless there is a web proxy being used at your broadband provider...

I have a friend who has the same issues with both iChat and iWeb.... but he is using some strange satellite broadband service because he can't get cable or DSL.

We have a big issue with Coldfusion MX 7.0.2 on a Windows
2003 web edition SP1 with SQL and Access datasources. The server
randomly does not respond (this could occurs each day or each
week), all web pages using coldfusion says that an Internal network

This is repeated at each HTTP request.
When trying to restart the Coldfusion services it couldn't
stop, I need to kill wcsoc.exe (locking the tracing file of odbc
connections) then restart cfmx app server and odbc server. I didn't
see any hotfix covering this problem and on newsgroups/google some
people are talking this issue without answer.
If someone already experienced this problem please contribute
to this post. If the logs were more verbose it could be easier to
debug.

Switch your Access databases from the ODBC driver to the
Access for
Unicode driver. (Make sure you try that in your test
environment first.)

T400: Internet does not work when switching networks unless reboot?

Hi everyone,
I can't seem to establish an internet connection when I switch networks (e.g., internet at work, then at home). It gives me an error saying "limited connectivity" or failed to renew IP. This happens for both wired and wireless connections.
I tried turning off the firewall (comodo internet security) along with the windows firewall. I tried letting windows handle all my internet connections. Yet the error still happens. So I just have to simply reboot my laptop, and everything works 100%.
I never had an issue like this with other laptops. Could this possibly have something to do with some of the bundled Lenovo software? I disabled most (if not all) of them since I barely use them.

I had a similar problem with my T400. What wifi card do you have installed?
I had an Intel 5300. Networking was OK with XP Pro installed, but messed up with either Vista Ultimate 32-bit or Vista Business 64-bit installed. All were Lenovo OS images. I tried 2 different 5300s.
I only saw the problem with wifi, but basically if I changed access points or changed from wired to wireless, the first attempt to use the (new) access point would fail to get an address. An immediate reboot would cause it to succeed.
I finally got the issue escalated to a 2nd-tier tech. He sent me a 5100 to try. That fixed it. I doubt it is a hardware issue. It is most likely a Vista/Intel/Lenovo software issue/conflict. IMNSHO, ThinkPad wifi w/Vista is a mess. One of the most fundamental laptop features should work much better than this. Many folks have T-series wifi problems and Lenovo seems to be ignoring it.
Just to add to the excitement, I told a friend buying two new T400s to order 5100s to avoid the problem. He did, and got the machines with XP installed. They both exhibited the same bad behavior Once he updated XP and all the Lenovo stuff, they started to work OK and have stayed OK. Grrrr.....
