Use of 32 bit setup files of EPMA 11.1.2 to install on windows 7

Hi All Experts,
I need guideline to download the Hyperion EPMA 11.1.2 , from which link I could download and can I use 32 bit setup files to install on 64 bit WINDOWS7.
is it compatible and possible to have Essbase,HFM,FDM HFR tool properly with 64 bit windows 7 for 32 bit setup files of 11.1.2.
Please share your valuable suggestions.

one more thing I want to know about installation can I install Hyperion 11.1.2 on XP , as my intel motherboards LAN device and driver is not supported for server 2003/2008 OS and intel recommended to use WIN7/XP os only, I need Essbase only so which files to be download and also can I install it on XP machine,
I tried for 11.1.3 last year and it worked for essbase (less components of hyperion), just thinking out of certification matrix.
If practically possible let me know.

Recommended server specifications for IOP 11.1.2.0 server?

In the iop_11120000_readme.pdf it references the following document:
"Information about system requirements for EPM System products is now available in a spreadsheet format in the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Certification Matrix. System requirements are no longer part of the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installation Start Here."
However, the EPM System document references this page:

which contains an xls file for "oracle_hyperion_epm_system_certification_release_11.1.2.0.xls", which does not specifically mention IOP.
Can someone please direct me to suggested specifications for a dedicated IOP server running 11.1.2.0?

In our install guide we document the server and client configurations that are supported. The recommended spec would depend on the model and there are no specific sizing guidelines as of now. We do have some guidelines for calculating the block cache size and that is for computing memory size.

I'll guess you have to go to a test center. When I took the certifications, I had to give two forms of ID, empty my pockets of everything I had and sign away my first born before I was allowed to take the test. They really wanted to be sure there was no cheating.

I don't know of any training specifically geared toward the exam, but all those topics are covered in the 9.3 documentation: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/index.htm
I assume you are actually working on a 9.3 environment; it would be very tough to attempt to learn all that stuff just by reading about it!

Certification matrix for hyperion 8.3

I am looking for the certification matrix for hyperion 8.3 because since I installed JRUN 4 update 6 (replace update 4), services don't start anymore.

As per the support matrix only JRUN 4 is supported and this is the last release that is supported.

Hyperion Certification - Practice Exams?

I'm planning to take Hyperion Essbase and Planning certifications and preparing for them now.
My company is a Oracle Gold partner and I have checked in OPN and OTN for any practice exams
with some sample questions to get a feel of the certification tests and assess my preparation so far.
There is so much material in Oracle websites, I am wondering if such tests exists and if I missed them.
If anyone knows if such test exists, could you please share the link?

If you are referring to the Oracle Essbase 11 Essentials, there are not sample questions for this exam. There are also no sample questions for the Oracle Hyperion Planning Essentials. Typically, if there are sample questions or practice exams available, they will be listed as links on the exam pages under the 'Additional Information & Resources' section.

I am thinking about taking HFM administrator and Hyperion Planning exam certified by Oracle (1Z0-271, 1Z0-272) and wonder if there is any good study material. I have the HFM admin guide and one sample exam, which may not be enough for me to prepare all the questions. The Oracle boot camp or training courses cost well over a couple of thousand dollars. Wonder if I can get a good study guide for this exam. Thank you in advance.

The Best document you can go through is the HFM/Planning Admin guide and these 2 certifications mainly concentrate on classic applications and very less in EPMA so it is better to go through the complete admin guide and user guide provided byu oracle.

Btw, Raghavan, even if you did read every single page on the "secret" site, you really wouldn't be ready for certification.
Please take this constructively -- regardless of how smart you are -- there is no substitute for implementing these tools when it comes to understanding them. The documentation is necessary, but not sufficient.
And if you are tempted by the seemingly unending number of certification cheat sites -- everyone who pays their money is going to get caught out sooner or later (sounds naive, but isn't). I can't imagine how stressful it must be to the employer, client, and cheater when a certification (any tool, not just Oracle EPM) proves to be worthless. I know I would bring down the Hammer of Thor if I figured out I had been sold a ringer.

Yes, each "tool" has a certification as well as each version because all of them have different features. You should study and then take the exam in order to get the certify.
