Hyperion Analyzer 5.03 web client

I have an problem on using Hyperion Analyzer 5.03 web client. When I connect on the hyperion via analyzer web client after analyzer newly install on web server it work OK. However, after few days I connect it again. I able to login but no option for me to create a new spreadsheet/chart.It work again when I reboot the web server. Please advise how to avoid it to happen. Do I need to schedule a reboot on every mid-night?ThanksLouis

You can log into Analzyer still? Just no menu options? Other than still being able to log in, it sounds like the common problem with the BDE/ODBC connection needing to be re-established. I know that in the various client cases I have dealt with where the clients are using an Enterprise repository, and if the RDMS they are using is brought "down" that the bde/odbc connection that the Analyzer Analysis Server has established needs to be renewed. In the case I have described above, all you need to do is stop and re-start the Analyzer Analysis Service. (In some cases I have created a batch file that is fired off by a scheduler to do this daily) Hope that helps some.

  • Hyperion Analyzer 5.02 Web Samples

I have been trying to get the web samples to work on IIS and am having a problem with some of the gifs, layouts, and examples not showing up. It seems to be because the path is inserting localhost before the server name in the URL. Can anyone provide some insight into what I may be doing wrong? Thanks,Chris

Did you create the virtual directory on the c:\program files\hyperion analyzer\samples directory?I would call support.

  • Analyzer release 5 web client

I have a problem deploying web client version for Analyzer release 5 on IE. Do we need any settings to make sure it works on every machine running Win2K? The error that I have found is 'wired not found...'. Anybody has experience this such thing before? Thanks in advanced.Good day!

You shouldn't need the runtime client for Web access, in my experience. Are you trying to use the html client or the java client? Are you only having problems with Win2k machines? If so, what platform is it working on?Release 5 uses the Java Virtual Machine plugin, which can cause problems on machines with the Java Runtime Environment installed. Could that be the problem? So many possibilities for problems. Of course, you can always upgrade to version 6 or 7, and open up whole new realms of problems. :-)

  • Analyzer HTML Web client problem

<p>Has anyone ever encountered this error before with the AnalyzerHTML web client:</p><p> </p><p>org.apache.xerces.util.NamespaceSupport.reset(Lorg/apache/xerces/util/SymbolTable<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">V</p><p> </p><p>Basically this line shows up in the browser screen whenever Itry to open a report. As you can see below,
    ant reported dukesbank-war\src\conf\persistence.xml
    missing
Could someone please explain why (and whether that is
    the reason for my problems).
This seems significant (though I am an absolute
beginner in J2EE and may be wrong). Would it be
    possible that the file
    dukesbank-war\src\conf\persistence.xml mistakenly
was not included in the zipped source code file? You can ignore that warning message. It's part of the BluePrints build system, which checks to see if you have persistence.xml in your WAR so it can package it. The persistence unit is in in the EJB JAR for Duke's Bank:
    javaeetutorial5/examples/dukesbank/dukesbank-ejb/src/conf/persistence.xml
First of all the manual says the url is
    http://localhost:1189/dukesbank/main.faces
but the url that works is
    http://localhost:1189/dukesbank-war/main.faces
Is that just a small inaccuracy in the manual, or
there is more to it? Actually, in "Running the Web Client" the page is:
    http://localhost:8080/bank/main.faces
So in your case it should be:
    http://localhost:1189/bank/main.faces
Try that URL instead, and see if you get the same error.

  • Long time to start Java Web Client (Analyzer 6.2.1)??

Does anyone know why Analyzer(6.2.1) takes a long time to start Java Web Client. Sometime it's even take more than 5 minutes. I think it is the Java Plug-in starting on the client computer. Any solution?

The key to Analyzer 6.2.1 running correctly is the version of Sun Java Plugin. The ideal version (most optimal) is 1.3.0_02.Secondary to this if Analyzer performs OK once you are logged in then it could be down to the speed of your connection. The applet compiles at runtime (unlike Analyzer 5 which was a one time download). The delay in getting to the login screen could be this download.Hope this helps.Paul ArmitageAnalitica Ltd.www.analitica.co.uk

  • Drill Through in Analyzer 5.0.3 Web Client

  • Hyperion Interactive Reporting Web Client Installation in Linux.

    Hi everybody,
Is there any official documentation of how to install Hyperion Interactive Reporting WEB Client in Linux environments ?
I checked Oracle Documentation and I found information about the HIR Desktop Client. But not about the web client.
Note: I need official documentation because of a discussion with security admins.
    Any Help ?
    Regards,
    Gustavo.

The information required to automate (silent) the Insight/Plugin Installation is as follows:
Before going for the Silent Installation of 11.1.1.3 IR Web Client, we need create a Response File and moved the response file to Installer location to automate the Install.
Please follow the below procedure to accomplish the same:
    1. Record a response file use the command "setup /ieinstall -r" (or "setup /ff install -r" if you use Firefox).
    2. The above command will then create a setup.iss file in the <C:\Windows> directory.
    3. Then move that <C:\Windows\Setup.iss> file to the Insight folder, so to resides with the setup.exe.
    4. Then to launch the silent installation, use the command "setup /ieinstall -s" and it will use the options you choose when creating the response file.
    5. You can create a batch file with the command line script as mentioned in Step 4 and keep in the same folder. So that the end user can use the same to automate the install.

  • Hyperion Analyzer 7.x to  System 11.1.2 Web Analysis

    Dear All,
Is there any approach to migrate Analyzer report from 7.x to 11.1.2 or 11.1.1.3 ???
I found that Oracle supports Hyperion Analyzer 6.5, 7.0.1, 7.2, or 7.2.1 to System 9.
Hyperion Reporting and Analysis – System 9 Migration Utility Guide
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/hs_migration.pdf
Hyperion Reporting and Analysis – System 9 Migration Utility Planning Guidelines
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/hs_migration_planning.pdf
So, is there any way to do? In case no migration tools, is there any workaround method for example,
    1. export / import apt files...
    Thanks a lot
    Thomas

The Reporting and Analysis migration tool is shipped with 11.1.1.3 and the documentation lists that it supports v7 Web Analysis. It just connects from the source relational database to the target.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hs_migration.pdf
I would give that a try.
You should always backup your Hyperion_Home and the reporting relational database if you need to revert.

The solution to this problem is simple and easy.
Which port are you using to login to workspace for installing the client. I predict its 45000 port.
Try using the 19000 port for logging into the workspace and try installing the IR web client. It works.
Let me know if there are still any issues.

  • Analyzer 5.0.3 web client - large deployment

Has anyone deployed Analyzer 5.0.3 web client to a large population. We have over 100 users - it could go as high as 1400 in the future. When adding a new Essbase cube (we are using Essbase 6.1 p2), we have to add the new cube to each individual user id, then click properties of the cube and type in the users essbase user id, password, and confirm password. We use option 3 in this dialog box because the Analyzer web client users do not have the Essbase client on their desktop. They initially change their Analyzer password, but their Essbase password stays the same permanently. This whole process of adding a cube is very time consuming and basically a long typing exercise. If we deploy the Analyzer web client to our entire company, it will be a nightmare to add a cube. I want to know how other companies are handling this situation.

Try using the UsrUtil.exe. Check the docs on it, then build a text file (.cmd) containing the scripted user accounts you wish to create. I had all the users and user info entered into an oracle table first, then ran a short Java app over it to extract the user information, building the .cmd file that was run to create all the new users. for about 1000 users, it took about 10 minutes.robb

  • HTTP Analyzer help for web service client in 11g

I am using jDev 11.1.1.3.0 to build a web service client (proxy) to a potential vendor's web service. I've used the Http Analyzer before but I'm having trouble configuring it for a WS proxy. I just want to see the SOAP stream between my client and the web service. I used the Web Service Proxy wizard to create the Java code, but the web service provider has kept some of the contract in the WSDL private so that I had to manually generate the meat and potatoes of the Java code. I need to be able to see the SOAP my Java code is sending.
I have tried to configure the Http Analyzer to listen on it's own localhost and port with a forward rule to forward the request to the real WS, but I cannot figure out how to get the client to send it's requests to localhost instead of the actual WS.
Actually, I did figure it out, but then the request fails as it apparently tries to connect to the real WSDL before actually sending the request and cannot find a WSDL at the localhost URL. Here's the error:
Exception in thread "main" javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: {http://localhost:8099}CatalogRequest is not a valid service. Valid services are: {http://[actual URL here]}CatalogRequest
         at com.sun.xml.ws.client.WSServiceDelegate.<init>(WSServiceDelegate.java:249)
I have also tried to configure the Http Analyzer to somehow 'sniff' the actual URL by listening on the actual URL and port, but either I cannot get the Analyzer to see the request or it fails because the Analyzer is using the same port the request is trying to use.
Can someone explain how to configure the Http Analyzer to see the SOAP stream for a Web Client Proxy?

Hi, I'm just using the default setup for HTTP Analyzer and having no problem using it.
Just make sure to run the HTTP Analyzer first before running or starting your app server (Integrated weblogic Server).

  • Accessing new application using direct Hyperion Planning web client URL

I added new Hyperion Planning application. From standard workspace URL [http://demodrive:19000/workspace/index.jsp], I can now access new application.
However, when I use the direct Hyperion Planning web client URL [http://demodrive:8300/HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp], new application is not included as one of available applications to select. What am I missing?

    Hi,
I find it a little strange that you can see the planning application through workspace but not directly, I would usually expect problems the other way round.
One thing to check for if that you don't have multiple planning instances, check in the configuration utility, you could have an instance pointing to one set of apps and another instance pointing to a different set of apps.
Though saying this I would expect workspace to show the same apps as going directly.
    Cheers

  • Hyperion IR : Getting out of memory error while fetching data for whole year through web client (wrokspace)

    Hi,
While fetching data though IR wen client from workspace for a year(all 12 months) I am getting error as ("Out of Memory .Advice : Close other applications or windows and try again").
If I am trying same through IR studio it does not give any output and show me same repoting front page.
If i am selecting periods till 8 months it is giving the required data in both IR web client and IR studio.
Could you please suggest how can we resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    D.N.Rana

    Issue Cause :
Sometimes this is due to excessive data which brings the size of the BQY file up around one gigabyte uncompressed in size (for processing may take twice as actual RAM, plus the memory space space for the plugin, and the typical memory limit on a 32-bit system is 2 gigabytes).
    Solution :
To avoid excessive BQY size exceeding memory availability:
Ensure that your computer has at least 2Gb of free RAM before he runs IR Studio.
Put a limit to the number of rows that can be pulled down: Right click on Request label of Query section and put a value in Return First xxx Rows (and check the check box).
Do not pull down more than 750 MB of data (remember it may be duplicated while processing).
Place limits or aggregations in Query section (as opposed to Result section) to limit data entering the BQY.
