Hyperion Analyzer/Reports using Windows 7 and I.E. 8

Is there anyone in the user community is currently using Windows 7 operating system and Internet Explorer 8 successfully with the current versions of Hyperion Analyzer 7.2.5.4 and Reports 7.2.5.3?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Iphoto is a different paradigm than you're used to. I don't understand why you are trying to transfer your edited photos back to an external disk.

You will have to sync it to the new one, erasing the current content from the ipod and replacing it with the content from the new drive.
Make sure you have copied everything from your backup copy of your computer back to the new drive first.

Hyperion analyzer reports migration urgent

Hi,
Can any one suggest me the best way of migrating the analyzer reports from one relatinal database to another relational database (we need to do from oracle to mysql , these two are on different servers).
Please post your experiences on this...I am using migration utility - it is connected to the databases successfully...but when I check the reprots I didn't find any table in mysql.

I think Both the source and target relational schemas should be of same data base type( either Oracle or SQl Server) as there will be a structural difference in how these databases maintains data.
I am not sure if there is a possiblility of doing this but can expect a work around from any of our GURUS.

Need to force Hyperion Analyzer to use Java 1.3 when 1.5 has been invoked

We use Hyperion Analyzer (version 6.2.1.00470) and Java (version 1.3.1_04). We have scripts setup to invoke Java 1.3 when initiating Analyzer. We have other applications loaded on the same PC that require a Java version of 1.5.0_11.
The issue we're having is that once Java 1.5 has been invoked by the other applications, Analyzer no longer works. Is there a way to force Analyzer to use Java version 1.3 given 1.5 is loaded on the PC as well?

There is no way to force Analyzer to use version 1.3 if JRE version 1.5 is installed on the client. This is due to Secure Static Versioning and this is not an Analyzer problem, it is a Java JRE issue.

New to Apple, questions about using Windows, and other things

Today is my first day as an Apple owner. It's funny because I'm also a MCSE, MCSA, and MCP.
I purchased a 24" iMac, 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, and 1TB Hard Drive.
I want to use Windows on my Mac so that I don't have to keep switching over to my PC. My main reason for using Windows is so that I can continue to enjoy my PC Games... mostly racing and D&D games.
So my question is... how does Windows run on bootcamp? Can I still use all of my USB controllers (like my steering wheels, joysticks, etc?)
I really havent even turned on my iMac... been too amazed at just looking at it for the first day (and also rearranging my home office).
I really just want to know from those of you who have PCs AND Macs, if you still find yourself having to go back to your PC because of incompatibilities or performance issues on the iMac?

Using BootCamp, your Windows experience is no different than if running it on a similarly configured PC. If you went with a VM running under Mac OS X (like VMWare or Parallels), there are a number of differences. However, using BootCamp you have a Mac-branded PC.
I'd point out that people have been dual-booting operating systems in this fashion for decades. Windows has no obvious in-built support for doing so, but other operating systems (like Linux, FreeBSD, etc.) have always very clearly and explicitly supported dual-booting (on Macs and regular PCs) from the get go.

Project Stock report using QBEW and QBEWH tables

Dear All,
First of all Happy New Year to all of you.
Here is my question: I want to build a ABAP report for stock situation for project stock. The report demands the stock by closing month. Suppose I run the report for month 11/2010, it should show the closing stock at the end of the month 11/2010.
Now I am using the values from table QBEW for this purpose.But QBEW table shows only current entries. If a material stock is changed or value is changed, it goes into history table QBEWH.
Now problem is that if I try to make sum of QBEW and QBEWH, the stock value is excessive. Now I am not sure which entries I should consider from QBEWH table for this purpose.
Has anybody worked on similar requirement?

Stock report using mbew and mbewh

Hi to all.
i want to prepare o report for month end stock.
i am preparing this report using tables mbew and mbewh..
as per my knowledge goes the current stock is in the table mbew and history stock is in the table mbewh.
i am picking up the current data from the mbew and history data from mbewh..
the report is working fine till for january to august..
but i dont know what wrong happen when i run it for the last month of previous year i.e 01/12/2005.
it is showing some data difference for this period and also due to this some difference for earlier periods..
please suggest me what could be the reason..
because i have worked a lot on it and it is also working fine for this year...
also tell me what could be the problem..
i will surely reward back with points..

Standard SAP Reporting Using Classes and Characterstics

I am currently interested in if there are any options to using classes and characteristics within standard reporting in SAP ECC. I know some reports have the selection critiera and allow for other fields to be added to reports. Does anyone know the reports that use classes and characteristics or have the ability to use them. Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure of the specifics of your question. The reporting approach depends on the objective of the reports and the business requirements. In general, transaction MC03 can be use to report via classification characteristics. This key figure reporting option covers many classifying attributes.
If you want to report using batch classification and characteristic values, BMBC offers options for reporting on batches. In this case you may use the classification tab of BMBC to enter the batch class for "search with batch class" and/or "search with selection class". The latter allows you to view and/or narrow your search by characteristic values.
