Hyperion FR client 11.1.2

Hello,
I want to install the hyperion FR client for 11.1.2 version. Can any one please tell me where i can find the client for 11.1.2.

If it was 11.1.2.1 then it would be much easier as the FR studio comes as standalone install, do you have access to any of the 11.1.2 installation files as you will need them for 11.1.2 studio.

I just recently migrate from Brio 8.3.1 to 11.1.2.2
My machine is Microsoft Windows Server 2008 64-bit.
My oracle client is 9.2.0 32-bit version
When i try to connect one of my BQY reports to oracle database, it just throw error "Oracle Error -1: ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connecter identifier specified"
I can ping the server. I can login using sqlplus.
I already follow the instruction in this thread by adding ORACLE_HOME variable.

Just upgraded my Client version to 11gR2...
Still the same.
I cant connect to Oracle DB using Oracle Net.
If i using ODBC, it works. But my user still insist that they use OracleNet connection for their BQY reports.
Any suggestion what should i check??

Hyperion Enterprise client and server version

All,
We are using Hyperion Enterprise version 6.1 for a long time and currently it supports and works fine on windows 2000 server. We are planning to move to HFM shortly but in the meantime i wanted to see if there is a version out there between 6.1 and 6.5 that will enable us to install client on "xp" and still talk to version 6.1 on the server?
any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the response. Do you happen to know which version of Hyperion retrieve on the client side works with xp and still be able to talk to version 6.1 on the server side. I looked into the version 6.5 and it does not support version 6.1 on the server side.
Also, where can i find the installs for older version i looked in the edelivery site and have not been successful.

Hyperion IR client 11.1.2.2 is not connecting to database

Hi,
I've installed EPM 11.1.2.2 Interactive reporting client on 32 bit windows XP machine. The oracle client installed is 9.2.0.
The IR client just throws the error "Oracle Error -1: ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connecter identifier specified". I'm trying to connect using Oracle*Net and oracle as the database.
Then I specify the following in the next screen and get the above TNS error -
username - uname
password - pass
Host - abs
I can do the following from the client machine where IR studio is installed -
* i can tnsping to db from command line - tnsping abs works
* i can connect to db using sqlplus uname/pass@abs
* my tnsnames.ora file has the following entry -

Hey add TNS_ADMIN as the environmental variable name and value as the path for the file tnsnames.ora. Problem Solved.

and web analysis is not seperate tool whn u install planning u get that

I am trying to open a business rule in EAS and I am recieving the following error: Cannot retrieve connected root element for Planning/Servername/Application/Database.
I am able to connect to the application via Planning Web, but I am recieving this message when I am trying to open the business rule in eas.

I have 2 BRs, one is with RTP and another without RTP (basically a clacscript as BR).
I don't have any issue with the BR without RTP.
When I try to validate BR withRTP, validation is failing with

Hyperion financial reporting studio hit an unexpected error occurred

i do not know whether this is the right place to post this query but gave a try.
Here is my problem:
This is newly setup client PC with financial reporting. When trying to login to the FR, it prompted "*An Unexpected Error Occurred*".

If this is a client specific issue only with FR Studio continuing to log you in successfully on the server(if it happens to be Windows) or if other client PC also allow a successful login,then you can try a couple of things.
1.Telnet the following ports from the client to the server and ensure connectivity--6800 to 6805,8200,8299,these are default ports,if you are using customized ports then ping the appropriate port numbers
2.If telnet to all of these ports is successful,then copy the HReports.jar file from the server from under the products/biplus/lib directory and replace the same file on the client machine,the location is going to be the same,ensure you back up the HReports.jar file on your machine before replacing it if case you need to revert back

Hyperion Analyzer Installation 7.2

I need a little help from you about installing Hyperion Analyzerstandalone client here in Mumbai office with the repository storedon the Air Canada server which is Acn103 (12.41.51.133) at USA I am installing Hyperion Analyzer version 7.2. When I reach the screen which provides the option- Select the repository type for Hyperion Analyzer; I select theMicrosoft SQL Server 2000 option. Since I am not creating the database I deselect create databaseoption and click next. Here it asks me the Server name which put it asACN103/12.41.51.133. Then it asks me to put the Analyzer RDMS Username and AnalyzerRDBMS password which I put in as Air Canada (User Name) &aircanada (pw) respectively which is my SQL user ID and passwordfor AirCanada server Here it also asks me the path to Microsoft SQL JDBC driver which ininstallation manual says may be the mssqlserver.jar, msutil.jar andmsbase.jar file. Since I could not locate these files on my machine I could notprovide the path and hence the Test connection to repositoryfailed. So I don’t know where am I going wrong? So where can I locate these jar files and whether I am followingthe right process or not. I have dowloaded these executable jar files from net so whther itll help or not. Please suggest. all ideas to fix the prob are welcome

Totally I'm having four machines (Machine A,Machine B,Machine C,Machine D). With the help of these four machines I'm going to install Hyperion Essbase and Planning 11.1.2.1.0.
Machine A (Linux-64 bit) ----> I have planned to install and configure the Hyperion Essbase Server,EAS Console.
Machine B (Linux-64 bit) ----> I have planned to install and configure the Oracle Database.
Machine C (Windows-64 bit) ----> I have planned to install and configure Hyperion Planning.
Machine D (Windows-32 bit) ----> I have planned to install and configure Hyperion Essbase Client.
In my 3 machines i have 64-bit, and 1 has 32 bit, I do not know this would be working, if this is correct kindly tell me how to do.

How to install only client tier on Client Machine

Hi,
Presently in Server the Hyperion is Installed, now i need to install Hyperion (Client machine ) & configure on Client machine and configure the Server database. while installing the hyperion on client machine should we select all the Services products check boxes (i.e) Client Tier, Web Server, Web Application Server & Service Tier --- or only the "Client Tier" products check boxes should be selected? and this client machine should be accessed by the onsite person.
Please help on this!!!

Hi,
If you can reverse the sample basic database and not another database then it probably relates more to the database.
Can you try on another database, I take it the database you are trying to reverse has dimensions and is not just a blank outline.

Hi HyperGuy, Ideally it should not affect the outline or data inanyway, but it always depends on how far into the refresh u arecancelling it. If it completed the accounts dimension step andmoved on to the next dimension your accounts dimension members areaddedd or deleted, and data for those members marked to be deletedwill be lost.Theoritically speaking it should not affect the outlinne or data because a restructure is not triggered untill the last stages of refresh. but from my experience, ucannot be 100% confident about the integrity of both outlin and data. Iwould not recommend to kill a refresh. if you have to do anychanges do it in the next iteration. that way your planning andessbase outlines are always in sync. Hope this answers what you arelooking for. ThxMakke

We created OLAP Query using Hyperion Intelligence client - Designer.
While clicking the "Process" button it says "Unknown error in OLAP process".
Any clues on this?

Thank you very much for your quick response.
Intially, we couldn't create an OCE file (using Designer) with Essbase as a data source & found out that we need client connectivity files which comes with Analytic client s/w.
We tried installing the Analytics client (aix version) using executable jar (setup.jar) in Windows XP but it was giving some exceptions.
But after installing Essbase Integration services (console), we could create the OCE files but end up with the issue that I've mentioned. I think the connectivity files even comes with EIS s/w with few other APIs but not all the APIs required for client.
Now we are trying to get the Windows version of Analytic client s/w. We've to try with this. I believe, most probably, this would resolve the issue.

Financial Reporting not connecting to HFM APP 11.1.2

I'm trying to connect to and HFM app from the Financial Reporting Studio and I'm getting the following error:

I have similar issue and cannot find an answer.
My environment is 11.1.2.1 (upgrade from 11.1.1.3)
All applications working fine (planning, essbase, hfm).
I'm unable to change database connection to hfm (db change to essbase and Plannng works). Error says that I have wrong cluster/server configuration.
Question is how this configuration should lokks like. I already tested:
1. HFMProd - this is cluster name and Server1 as a server in HFMProd cluster
2. No cluster, just Server1
3. HFMProd and Server1 in plus Server1 separately
In all cases the same message.
When I open FR studio I'm able to see reports (from workspace also).
When I try to open report I have an error due to some links to the old server ip (I guess this is taken from connection info that I can not change)
What is more I can create new Planning report in studio, but can not open through workspace.
From Workspace I can manage reporting services so everything is visible correctly (or should be :) ).
Any idea?
