Hyperion Insight Plugin 8.2 and Hyperion 9.3.1 plugin on the same machine

We have two report environments. The legacy environment that exists on the Brio On-Demand Server that uses the Insight Analyzer plugin v 8.2 and a new environment that uses the Hyperion 9.3.1 plugin. As we move the legacy reports over and conduct UAT we need to have access to both environments, but cannot have the plug ins run independently in different browsers.
The goal? Be able to access both sets of reports until we are able to fully implement the new environment. Is there any way to say, install the 8.2 plugin in Explorer and the 9.3 plugin in Firefox so that both sets of reports can be accessed via a browser?

I just was able to get both plugins to function, but Explorer asks to install a new plugin. If the user clicks cancel it will load the report properly. So, yes, you can install 9.3.1 only on Firefox and run 8.2 only in Explorer.

Runing BO 6.5 and Xi 3.0 on the same machine

I have installed 6.5 and Xi 3.0 on the same workstation. Both versions run fine when I run them one at a time (open one, work on it, then exit before starting the other).
However, when I run 6.5 and Xi 3.0 simultaneously, then the next time I try to run either of them, I receive a message asking me to install again.
Has anyone run into this?

Is there no way this will work? As I have several customers thinking about or planning an upgrade/migration to XI 3.0, running legacy and new software side-by-side on the same machine is a very important issue, especially as migrations are usually an incremental process, requiring both versions to co-exist for some time.
I have never had any problems running 5.x / 6.x and XI r2 on the same machine, even simultaneous, that's why I'm so surprised at the sudden change.

Is there a way to keep selected apps that you have on your admin account inaccessible and unseen from another admin account on the same Mac?

My sister and I share computers, but it's really her Mac because she got it for her birthday. I'm using it because there is no other place to hold my iTunes library, documents, photos, etc.
She complains that I make the computer too slow after I downloaded/installed too many apps from the Mac App Store using my admin account and my iTunes account. However, they show up on her account as well, and she doesn't want to see them or have her computer slow down, so she deletes them. Is there a way to make certain apps unseen and inaccessible from other admin users on the same machine?

Only by storing them on an encrypted disk image. Anyone who has an administrator password to a Mac can use it to access all unencrypted data on the system.

When I try to install some plugins I get "Can't find Internet Plug-ins folder". Friends with the same machine using the same browser can download just fine. What gives?

When I try to install a plugin in any browser on my Mac Mini or my MacBook Pro, I get a "Can't find Internet Plug-Ins folder" message. Other friends with the same machines can install the plugin just fine. We can't find any reason why the plugin won't install on mine. Any ideas out there?

This is the error message I receive when I try to add my phone to my Mac for proximity / FaceTime audio calling. This feature worked until I changed my Apple ID. I have updated my Apple ID everywhere I can think of updating it. I've signed out of Apple ID on my Mac, deleted EVERYTHING (calendars, contacts, etc.), signed back in, etc. I've done the same with my phone, and even done a power-down / reboot and nada. I keep getting this message from the Mac.
I can't figure out where else I should look for my old Apple ID to be logged into anything or creating problems. I've gone over my iPhone and Mac and I'm at a loss. As an aside (and yes, wrong forum), have lost the ability to do SMS forwarding since the Mac no longer receives the code from my iPhone to allow this feature to work. This was lost after signing out of the Apple ID on my Mac this afternoon.
Bluetooth is turned on for both devices. Both devices are on the same WiFi network. Both devices otherwise appear to be working correctly with the exception of the problems I'm having with FaceTime and iCloud being signed into the same Apple ID (which they are).

(By the way, I should have pointed out in my earlier posting that I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my Mac). I Just installed latest Yosemite update while my iPhone was switched off, and when my Mac restarted, the 'iPhone Cellular Calls' checkbox in the FaceTime preferences was checked and the problem was therefore solved. Switched on my iPhone, still fine. Relief.

Do you store your passwords in the browser? If so, you may want to update them to make sure that they are trying to login with the right credentials: [[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]
If that is not the case, it may be an old stored cookie: [[Delete cookies to remove the information websites have stored on your computer]]

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as.

Designer 6i and 10g on the same machine?

I have Designer 6i and corresponding repository on my machine.
The problem with 6i I can't save diagramm in HTML format
I believe I can save in HTML format in 10g or other?
Can I install on the same machine 10g designer?

As for running 6i and 10g on the same machine, yes you can do it. You just have to install them in separate Oracle Homes, and be careful when you tell them which version of EXP and IMP to use. There is one MAJOR caveat, however. They cannot use the same Designer Repository - 6i client won't talk to a 10g repository and 10g client won't talk to a 6i repository. You can upgrade a 6i repository to 10g with the RAU, but take a backup before you do - the only way to go back is to restore your backup. Besides, I think that if you upgrade to the last supported version of Designer 6i (you should be able to get it from MetaLink) you will get the Publish Diagrams utility.
Frankly, my opinion is that there is only one reason to stay on 6i - if you need to generate and support 6i client/server Oracle Forms. If you don't use Oracle Forms, or if you have moved on to Web Forms with the middle tier Forms Server, I'd recommend an upgrade to Designer 10g and Developer 10g.

We have HU managed Storage Location, and in this Storage Location we have SUT managed Warehouse, Now while Goods Receipt we have to create inbound delivery, which is working fine and i can see my stock in Goods receipt area,, later on whicle creating Transfer Order to putaway in a bin i have a error message "Storage location and post.chge storage location not in the same warehouse" please help me with this error message. Now when i am creating TO i have that error message. The Storage Location where i am receiving is 9001and i have also maintained the partner Storage location,,, its like this Plant(1000)-SLoc(9001)-Partner SLoc(9002).... now the Storage Location 9002 is not HU managed,, the reason i gave this Storage location is, initially i gave 9001, but system said "Storage Location 9001 and 9001 must have different management systems". So now kindly tell me what is the purpose of the partner Storage location and which storage location should i give, as my partner Storage location across "1000-9001-????" thank you again for ur inputs.

I don't want to sync what is on my iPod to my iPad. (I have a 32gb iPod but only 16gb on iPad. The iPod I use mostly for music.) I can't seem to add the films I have downloaded onto iPad to iTunes. If I could do that, I could erase them from iPad to create more storage.

Answer.....
Yes you will lose the films that you downloaded to the iPad when you sync with your own iTunes unless you transfer the purchases into your own iTunes library. Were these movies that you purchased? If so, you might be able to download them again for free. Do you have multiple computers that you sync from or is this someone else's purchased content?
You can select whatever you want to sync to all of your devices in iTunes, you do not have to sync the same content to all device.
