Hyperion Intellience - iServer Reports & CSS

Aside from modifying the three CSS files that control the overall look of every BQY document that is converted into the iServer / HTML version... Is there anyway to create a link to a CSS file? There are some elements that I want to be able to have more control over and CSS seems to be the best way to do it.<BR><BR>Can this be done via JavaScript or perhaps using the @HTML directive?<BR><BR>Thanks.

Version 8.5 was released in 2004, so you are dealing with old unsupported software running on and with other old and likely unsupported software.
That said, here is the supported platform website from Oracle, note these only go back to 9.2

You'll need to have Brio Scheduler (or On Demand Server - I can't remember the old name) installed.
If you server is as basic as the requirements you have below, then it might do around 20-50 users, depending on the size and complexity of the data warehouse and queries being run.
I seem to remember that the export to excel was pretty basic and was definitely an old version of excel.
In general, bqy files don't need much modification, but that depends on the queries and exports required - there might be efficiencies in building them differently for exporting.

Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel "Query-Ready" option is Missing in the dropdown when you go to File>Export>Excel
Only the "Fully Formatted" option is available.
From what I recall this option for a "query-ready" export should be available from the HTML preview?

The Query-Ready option is available when exporting forms in Planning.
When opening Financial Reports in Smartview the option for "Query-Ready" is available.
For some reason this is not showing up in workspace, does it not exist in 11.1.1.3? Is this a bug?

The option to export the financial report output in "Query-Ready" format is actually at the bottom right hand corner of the report page (look at the report footer) instead of File>Export>Excel.

Hyperion SQR Production Reporting and EBS 11i

Hi all,
Is there a way to purchase only "Hyperion SQR Production Reporting", working with Oracle EBusiness Suite (11i) ?
The scope is to migrate Oracle Applications 11.0.3 to 11.5.10.2 (unix platform) including a lot of sqr specific programs (batchs and reports).
-> Instead rebuild them on pl/sql or XML Publisher, we plan to do this by upgrading sqr (actually v4.3.2 running on Oracle 8.0.5).

Report CSS not working after upgrade

I have been researching this issue for days with no luck. I recently upgraded a project from VS2008 to VS1013. During this process, I downloaded and installed the 13.0.10 installer. Everything seems to work great except for the CSS functionality on the reports (not the report viewer). Here's the scenario:
A webform has a reportviewer control and a link to the css file (Reports.css):

Prior to converting the project this would cause the report to be rendered according to the CSS style rules. After converting the project it does not. It seems the issue is related to the fact that the report viewer now renders the report output to an iFrame, but I cannot find a way to make the iFrame use the stylesheet. How do we get the CSS style applied to the reports?

UPDATE:
When inspecting the rendered iframe's source, I can see that the CSSClass names specified in the report document have been modified. In the test report I am working with, the detail field's CSSClass is called "DetailField", but the resulting HTML shows a different class name (see below).

Hyperion SQR production reporting 11.1.2 performance after migration from Peoplesoft

Hi,
I am provided with sqr report includes multiple select statements but with simple small joins and also have reference to standard sqc files and other sqc.
I installed SQR on AIX and database as oracle 10g.But now hyperion does not provide any sqc file.
So manually created all sqc.But the report is taking more than 4 hours to produce the output file.Previously users get it in 10 minutes as informed.
Kindly help and suggest how to improve the time,

Need assistance in Hyperion Web Analysis Report

Hi All,
I am using HFM with Oracle database as the data source for reports and using Hyperion 931 components.
I have a requirement in Key Performance Indicators reports (KPI)
1) Need to have a custom column of current year Actuals Vs Plan data
2) Need to have a custom column of current year Actuals Vs prior year Actuals data
3) Need to indicate Font colours based on the values derived in columns (1) and (2) - if positive data - green colour
if negative data - red colour
I am trying to replicate this in Web Analysis report, but facing issues on
1)Making this year value dynamic (shd change based on current year or atleast should prompt when we run report)
2) Since i have fixed the report with 2008 and 2007 year, all the formattig made whiel creating the Report goes away, if i try to run the report with different year values like in 2010 and 2009 year (as current and prior year)
3) Also, i have hided some coulumns based on our requirement which also no longer exists if i change the year values (available in coulmns)
Please suggest any comments to resolve these issues, Moreover i am new to Web Analysis reporting tool ,so kindly suggest, if i am not using any of the existing WebAnalysis features to derive my requirement.

Hi Siva,
If you are using the Essbase as a data source then you can achieve these things from using the substitution variable in WA report.
Assume you have a substitution variable in Essbase cube for current year. In WA report in Dimension Browse, right-click a dimension member and select "Substitution Variable”. The Substitution Variable dialog box is displayed. Here select a substitution variable from the list of Essbase substitution variables.
To get the Prior year, again in Dimension Browse, right-click a dimension member and select the "Also select Previous". Here define the prior year that you want to use in your report.
Sorry, I have no idea about the substitution variables in the HFM (It might be that we call the substitution variable with another name in HFM).

Even those button are also moving and messing up the look of interactive report.

""grow the width of the region"" untill the report grows?

Given (a) this is what I would expect from the CSS; (b) the corrections to the rendering in later IE and Opera versions, it is apparent that the presence of a scroll bar on the <tt>div</tt> is an IE7 bug (and thus so is the button glitch, as it follows from the scroll bar).
<tt>overflow</tt> requires that an element (or an ancestor) have a specified dimension. On your page none of the elements have a dimension that that would cause <tt>overflow</tt> to clip the element and show scroll bars.
Form region and report region template stops expanding when it reaches to a point.Due to the <tt>max-width: 1920px;</tt> property on the page <tt>body</tt>.

Can someone tell me please how to Extract Data from (Financial Reporting in) Hyperion Planning & Budgeting into Excel Using ODI?
Would the steps be the same as Creating an ODI Project and Interface: Exporting a Flat File to a Flat File? If not, why?

Where do you think the financial reports get their data from? Financial Reports pull data from data sources such as Essbase, HFM.

Oracle Hyperion Query and Reporting Runtime Setup

We are in the process to implementing Hyperion application (IR & FR), and we are looking for a way to
setup some security governance on reports/queries that run for more than an hr. We were told that there
is no “out of box” solution from Hyperion apps, and we want to know anybody have a chance to implement
anything like this to manage run-off reports/queries in the past. We will be greatly appreciated if you can send

Overriding IR Reports CSS

I am trying to adjust the font/color of my Headings and Data on Interactive Reports. I am on apex_4.2.
I went into my page template (shared componenets - templates) and in the Definition section after the #HEAD# I added my CSS override info (see below). it doesn't seem to be reading this on my IR Reports. Am I missing something?

I just created a simple Interactive Report on a page and want to change the IR report table headers and table data fonts/font sizes. Do you have an example on your workspace I could look at?

Error when installation of Hyperion 11 interactive reporting web client

I can't install the web client through Hyperion workspace v11.
My steps are:
h3. Workspace --> Tool --> Install --> Interactive Reporting Web Client
Then error message is shown:
unexpected status 400 (no host matches server name XXXXXX.com) returned on XXXXXX:45000/workspace*/dataaccess/../../InsightInstaller/setup.ini access check
Please check if the server is properly configured.
After I pressed OK, another error message is shown:
unable to launch the installer. Please use the information bar (if available) to install activeX control or check if you have Admin right on this computer.
I am using IIS v5.1.
Can any friends help on this issue?
Is there anything to configure in my IIS? or the version is too old ?

First try to go the below path and execute setup file
C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\workspace\AppServer\InstalledApps\workspace_static\zeroadmin\component\Insight
After executing setup file try to install web clientthrough workspace.

Hi,
BW data could be reported from Hyperion by connecting the system with the right adapter; the other way around isn't possible (querying hyperion data via BW) except by setting the hyperion DB as a DB/UD Connect source system and having remote IProviders on-top of it.
If you want ,you'll synchronize BW metadata in Hyperion and then create a report in Hyperion which will retrieve data from a BW query released for OLE/DB for OLAP (query properties/extended),now you can access any BW query / cube / multiprovider in BW
