Hyperion Planning Loading Data refreshment issue
Hi All,
I have use load data utility and it will load meta data in to planning application and for effect the same in Essbase
need to refresh the application using manage data base i don't want to refresh the data base
want i exactly i want to do is once my meta data or data change in staging area i run the load data utility
and it will affect on Planning as well as Essbase at the same time.
please suggest can it posible without refreshing or any other way to do this..
i don't want to refresh manually it would be a problem it should be automated.

Hi There,
I fear that the utility(we're talking about) supports only- flat files.
If I'm correct, you may've to extract the data from staging area & master tables in a format conducive to the Planning app. dimensions & then invoke your batch file that calls OutlineLoad utility. Obivously, OutlineLoad utility will look for the latest extracted files before each run.
If you've ODI, you can build a simple interface & then a package to automate this for you. This avoids dealing with extraction layer in your architecture.

Hyperion Planning Load via Webform and Smartview
Good Afternoon All,
Some user are having difficulty with a cube in my organisation, And I'm able to replicate the issue. Basically, When I load data via Webform or Smartview. On retrieval this same data appears all over the place. Please see example below
For example, the data for line 304045ba was loaded as

AdeI think it is to do with folder structure.
We had this
Folder1 -> Folder2 -> Folder3
If you apply security to Folder1 and data forms are in Folder 3, it just won't work in smartview. But if there is only one generation in-between, then it is fine. I applied security to Folder2 and refreshed. It worked like magic!

STPO's -- load date , goods issue, transport is not appear

I'm received one case, while creating the STPO's (Different company codes) in items details -> Del.sch-> transport, load date and goods issue is not appear. The Delivery date is 25.02.2008. next day the user as change the del.date from 25th to 26th. transport,load date and goods issue is appear.
Anybody plz tell me how its happen like this, and tell the root cause.

When running off RSA3, it will use a dialog process while when called from the PC it will be using a background process. Check the 'abap/time' setting in rz11.
Moreover, if it took only two hours to process last month, it is improbable that data has increased to such a large extent in a month's time.
It is possible that new jobs have been added on the R/3 side that runs at this time.
It may be a good idea to try and run this Process Chain when the R/3 system is lightly loaded.
Discuss this with the Basis Team.

B2B webshop : Data refresh issue in orderstatusdetail page
Hi,
We have an issue related to order status refresh in ISA B2B webshop. The Item level statuses in CRM GUI are consistent with those in R/3 during order creation and status update process. Any change in R/3 system automatically reflects in CRM. But this is not the case with the B2B webshop, the new updated statuses are visible only on logoff and login again in B2B webshop.
The orderstatusdetail.jsp page retrieves status data from CRM as extension data. This data is set in BADIs ZB2B_ISA_BASKET_HEAD and ZB2B_ISA_BASKET_ITEM. The correct updated statuses are available in the BADIs (structure ct_extension) and exported to the UI as header and item extension data. Still this updated data is not displayed on the jsp page. The cookies and temporary internet files for the browser have been deleted. A forced refresh (Ctrl+ F5) of the page also doesnu2019t work.
Any suggestions in this regard would be of great help

BPS Planning Layout - Data Column issues
My basic question is: is it possible to configure a characteristic in the data column such that it contains a range of values, instead of just a single value. We have requirements to produce a series of comparison columns for things such as "Year-to-Date" (sum of a range of fiscal periods), "Prior 12 Months" (again, sum of a range of periods), and so forth. Unfortunately, the BPS layout configuration of data columns only allows you to specify a single characteristic value. If you configure it with a variable that contains the range, the system only uses the LOW value of the range, not the full range. The ability to provide such comparison columns is critical to our users' ability to see prior information and make a determination of new plan values for the plan year.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how I should approach this, or alternative approaches to take?John,
This has been an issue with BPS since you can only display data columns of the granularity you specify rather than a range such as YTD similar to what you can do in BW restricted key figures.
The work around is to create and store the numbers in
1) YTD key figure in say fiscal year current year fiscal period current period and/or
2) Prior 12 months Key figure and store the number against fiscal year current year fiscal period # or first period period of the year...

There is an option to run a calc script after a data load so you can AGG the period etc. What about running one before the data load to CLEAR the period you're about to load to? Or do you have to create another 'dummy' data load and clear it after that one loads then run your data load and that one runs the AGG after? Wondering if there is a way to add an option to the KM kinda like the 'ORDER_BY'

Planning layout data column issue in BPS
hi there
I am trying to change the layout but it does not allow me to save my changes.
It complains about
"Enter a value for characteristic XXX Year for Plan (column 3)
Message no. UPP_LB022"
But there is no value to be entered here.
Please advise how can this error msg be avoided and I can save my new changes to the layout

It is in Data columns.
Its working in production enviroment without any values being there for some key figures but it is complaining only when we try to make the changes in the layout and try to save.

Apex load data privilege issue
Hi All
I use apex to load a csv file into oracle11gr2
However, the table is created under the apex user's schema user and the apex user cannot see the table.
This is not the same behavior as in apex.oracle.com or they use a trigger to create synonym and grant synonym for that table?
Is there a standard package I can run to fix this?

Hyperion Planning:Text Data Type does not take text

I am working on a asset addition form, and we have a member set up in a dimension that captures details, which takes the Description of the Asset.
We set this up as a text data type, but when we try entering even a single character, it does not accept it.
Can anyone clarify if this is possible?

Problem in configuring Hyperion Planning Data Source configuration.
* I have configured all the components of Hyperion Planning except Data Source Configuration. The problem is when i provide server name, username and password when the system prompts to enter the essbase server information, the system gets hang and does not respond. I am stuck in this step (data source configuration) and cannot move forward.*

Unfortunately not tried that mix, but beware of this. We had real issues with a recent 9.2 installation on Oracle 10 - had to find a very certain patch fix, and then had a nightmare configuration to get working.
If it is like that on Sys 9+ then highlights might be a little risky on older versions.
Any chance you can set up a development env to test this?
