Hyperlink above interactive overlay in a .folio?

I have a video file the size of the full screen however wish to have a hyperlink above it constantly so users can go back to the menu when they wish.
How do I do this as it seems InDesign wants anything static to appear below any interative overlays such as my video.

Ah-ha, I looked into turning the object into a MSO but wondered why it wouldn't work as a hyperlink, I thought I must have been doing something wrong!
I could just have a bar at the bottom of the the screen, although ideally I think it would look nicer not doing it that way.

How about if I create a 'button' instead of a hyperlink? would that work? Can anyone think of or does anyone know a work around for this?
I'm new to developing for the iPad so would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks a lot! I've been trying to do it backwards from that -- pasting the link into the Add Hyperlink Dialogue Box, and then trying to change the it there or after it's pasted.

I have the content viewer on my iPad and I am logged into it. This was working before. Getting a new version of the app does work.

I think there's still something amiss here.
I have the v25 Folio Producer Tools for CS5.5 and the v25 Folio Builder panel. (I'm on 10.6.8 for reference.)
I also have the latest v25 CV from the App Store, and with my iPad Mini plugged in, and the Content Viewer open, the option to side-load still isn't showing.
I thought it might be because I also had a v24 viewer (custom built) installed, but that's not the case. I uninstalled both of them and just downloaded the v25 viewer from the App Store. The result was the same.

Yes you can. How.. it depends on the complexity of the animation. Use any motion graphics softwares such as after effect ( Photoshop cs6 has animation abilities too ) and render frames as PNGs with trasperncy.
html5 animation is less complecated but lighter in size for that (adobe edge animate) is a nice tool to try.
These are my opinions.

Interactive Overlay Creator

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can download the additional AIR utility, the Interactive Overlay Creator?
I downloaded the Content builder and tutorials about a month ago and have only got round to playing with it now and it seems I need the Interactive Overlay Creator.
It looks like there have been some developments since I downloaded the tools and perhaps these downloads are not available any longer?
If anyone knows anything or can send me a link to the download that would be great.

Problem with Hyperlinks - Creating Interactive PDF from an In-design Book

Im working on producing a Interactive PDF from an In-design Book which consists of 9 Indesign Documents.
The problem I am having is with Navigation when I export the pdf
When I export out to 'Interactive' pdf the hyperlinks DONT link to other documents
When I export out to 'print' pdf the hyperlinks DO link to other documents but the buttons to 'Go to next page' no longer work

Multiple Hyperlinks for interactive PDF

Hi, I work for a company that creates 'Open Home' Maps and Lists for multiple real estate publications. the map has flags with numbers that corresponds with the matching list of details. I would like to turn these PDF's into a more interactive file used on the web with URL hyperlinks. we currently use Indesign CS5 and Adobe Pro 9 to create the final PDF files. I know we can create hyperlinks individually in both these programs but i would like to create 100+ on both pages, is this possible? can either of these programs run macros or Scripts that would take the manual work away? i would really appreciate your feed back or if someone could point me in the right direction on who could help.

Text hyperlinks for interactive pdf (In Template)

I have an interactive pdf - created links to individual pages using an index at the top with the list of page numbers...
I successfully linked the numbers to their respective pages, but when I export, the hyperlinks only work on the first page. All other pages using the template have the same list of page numbers at top, but don't link to the pages (only the first page in the document works)...
Is there another way - I found that if I don't use the template - I can individually paste the same list of page numbers on each page - but that kind of defeats the purpose of a template...
FYI, I'm using the hyperlink tool - not the button tool... would that matter?
Thanks for any assistance - very frustrating as its a 250 page document with several subsections... would be great to be able to use the template...

Just to be clear (and very brief) about the Interactive Forms Workflow:
You create the initial form in InDesign CS6/CC, (you can use any text for the form labels), you then add the fields by drawing rectangles, and convert them to a Text field using the Buttons and Forms panel (label each field with a unique name). You then export the InDesign form as an Interactive PDF and after it's created open it in Acrobat Pro. In Acrobat you use Forms > Edit to view the fields. You click on a field and it opens the Text Fields Property panel, here you can change the default (Times) font that appears in the field to say Helvetica (you must use a font that’s on everyone’s computer). In this panel you can also change the size, alignment and colour of the font plus there's a number of other options. You then close the form editing mode. You can test the form and subsequently distribute it. To ensure users can not only add data but save it, you need to save the form in a special way: Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools. Make sure you keep a copy of the original form as after this stage you can’t alter it. I suggest you try it out on a couple of simple practice forms before you work on your actual job.
There are lots of other things you can add to forms such as drop down lists, combo boxes, radio buttons, print and email buttons.

Is there a way to store and access shared assets between HTML overlays in a Folio?

I'm using numerous HTML graphics throughout a folio, each one requiring common script and font files. Rather than store these assets in each graphic set within a folio's HTML overlay, is it possible to store them in a root folder in the folio that is then accessible to any HTML overlays used throughout it? And if it possible, how would I access them?
This would save a great deal on overall folio size. Though I suspect it's not possible, I'd find it a useful feature if it were somehow possible to implement it in the future.

How to create links above interactive content?

I want to have a movie or a slide show, with a texthyperlink above it while the movie running, have tried with combinations of superoverlays, as a button and as a hyperlink.
Is there a workaround or have i missed something?

Hyperlinks in Interactive ADOBE Forms

Dear experts,
I have a scenario of INTERACTIVE ADOBE FORM in ABAP WEBDYNPRO wherein Attachments have to be stored for a given form and these forms would be archived in a shared folder after a complete workflow lifecycle .
Initially, we implemented the handling of attachments using the 'ATTACHMENT' tab in the ADOBE form itself and storing these attachments as xStrings in GOS. This worked really well until recently where the attachment sizes increased from a few KB to many MBs . The form processing got extremely slow leading to unacceptable performance.
This called for the approach of using hyperlinks to attachments on a network folder to be added to the form by the users while data entry itself.
I am unaware as to how can we open a text field to accept hyperlinks which can then be stored ina backend table, so that they can be fetched and updated in the form at a later stage during the subsequent workflow steps?
Any inputs on this would be of gret help..
I searched the forum for queries but none were really helpful. Please help me out with this issue..

Hello experts,
I am using Livecycle designer version 8.0 and do not have the 'Launch URL' UI element. So I have to resort to using a text field and a button with a script to launch the URL. Something like
xfa.host.gotoURL(url.rawValue, true);
This works for a web URL but this is not opening any network shared folders. Is there any way to achieve this?
Secondly, I want it to open in a new window and not in the same browser window/tab that the form is in.
Any inputs on this would be really helpful.

@Fabian – just for the records: there is a way.
But it's quite a hack!
You cannot rely on it for future versions of DPS or InDesign…
1. You start with two buttons and a single MSO on the same page.
Button 1 says: Go to State 1 of MSO
Button 2 says: Go to State 2 of MSO
NOW the hack:
2. DUPLICATE (do not copy/paste) the two buttons by [alt] + drag with the mouse to page 2.
You'll see, that the duplicates still control the MSO on page 1.
The following screen shots will illustrate this:

(Note the difference!)
To make it clear again. I would not recommend to do it.
But you could test it. Come back and report if that is working for you with the most recent versions of InDesign and ADPS…

How to make a url hyperlink in interaction center alert

We would like to have a hyperlink to a url in the alert in the interaction center of CRM 7.0.
We have tried to make the hyperlink in the alert text, by writing this html code <a href="http://www.google.com">GLOOGLE</a>
but we think the alert editor does not accept that code.
Does anyone know how to insert a url hyperlink in an alert ??

Hello Luis,
In order to insert a hyperlink into an alert, you actually need to use the Navigation Object Type/Action field and choose an existing navigation object type/action (launch transaction) that has been mapped to your desired URL. This is the same technique that you would use if you want to call the URL from anywhere else, like the NavBar. You can't simply add a URL directly to the alert.

How to create interactive overlays in Aperture?

Is there any plugin or method in Apeture that allows overlays or annotations to be created on existing images?
For example, flickr allows a box to be drawn selectively on any parts of an image to add notes and data etc.. iPhoto does this to an extent using "Add a face" by it's only supposed to be used as tagging people.
The difference with this method versus using Preview or Photoshop is that the annotations are not permanently "burned" into each photo, with the overlays showing during mouse-over.

This doesn't exist in Aperture but if I am reading correctly what you are looking to do check out the plugin BorderFx
