HYPERLINK DIRECTLY TO SLIDESHOW?!

Hello, is there a way to link directly to a slideshow rather then first visiting the photo page and then clicking on a photo? In other words, I want visitors to click on a photo on my home page and for a slideshow to open up directly. thanks

AFAIK, the answer is no. iWeb2 slideshow is dynamically built from photos page, photos page must be opened prior to the slideshow.

  • How can I create a hyperlink directly in the navigation menu using iWeb09?

I would like to add a URL to an external page in the navigation menu of my website using iWeb09. I have not been able to change the URL automatically generated by iWeb09 for each new page. The best I can do is to select text or an image that I want to link to the external page. I would rather create the hyperlink directly in the navigation menu. Is there a way of doing this?

    Try this...
Create a blank internal page named "Link" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that "Link" page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "http://www.externalpage.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
...Once published, clicking on "Link" in iWeb’s navbar will immediately redirect to the external page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

  • Is it possible in Muse to create hyperlinks to individual slideshow images?

    Hi Friends,
Right now I've got a web-comic going (check it out at www.joshuawright.net). In order to maintain an archive page for each new comic I put up, I'm having to create a new html page every time. This is the only way I know to create a clean hyperlink on my archive page to each comic. I would like to use a simple slideshow widget, but there doesn't seem to be a way to link to specific images within the slideshow from another page.
For example, if I have slideshow of 30 images, and I want to create a separate html archive page with a text link to each individual one (so say, if I have 30 different luxury car pictures and I want readers to be able to click straight to the Ferrari picture without having to scroll through the entire slideshow) is this possible through Muse???? If so how???
Thanks for any advice you can give me,
    Josh.

Thanks for the reply. I looked into your suggestion but as far as I can tell, that still doesn't allow for a separate hyperlink to individual images within the tooltip gallery. I'm happy to be proven wrong though if anyone knows where I'm screwing up.
To be clearer, check out my archive page for my web-comics: The Archive | An index of joshuawright.net  See how each link takes you to each page (i.e. image). It would be great if I could just have one slideshow gallery on one page filled with all the necessary jpgs that I could then archive in the same way.
    Cheers.

  • Can I open directly into slideshow mode?

Is it possible once having cretaed a photo gallery to also create a seperate link to open a web page directly into Sl,odeshow mode without having to first go to the gallery page and click on click on Play Slide Icon link for the Slideshow pop up.?
It would be great to have the option of creating alink directly to the slideshow.
Hope someone can help me out please..
    David

without having to first go to the gallery page and click on click on Play Slide Icon link for the Slideshow pop up.?
no you can't, because the pop up slideshow window widget requires the thumbnails page to be opened first, so that the image stream loader loads in the images.
It would be great to have the option of creating alink directly to the slideshow.
but you can have slideshow directly on the thumbnails page, if you know how to work iweb javascript widgets.
    Here is my example: http://www.cyclosaurus.com/iWeb2/Photo_Albums/Pages/Muse.html
javascript is linked to the example.

  • Hyperlinks directed to different section of same page?

Is this possible in iWeb? What I want is to have a menu bar at the top of one of my pages that links to different sections of the same page since its a really long page. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is a way using HTML snippets. See Peter Berglund's post in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9044022#9044022 and then go to his blog for more info.
I've used it in the Contents page for my demo sites. The links in green are to "anchors" on the pages indicated.
The hyperlink would be http://web.me.com/MMeAccount_Name/Site_Name/PageName#widgetX with X being the number of the widget just above the area you want to direct to. You'll have to publish the page and the change the X until you get the location you want (particularly if you have more than one widget on a page). The widgets are numbered in the order they were created.

  • Why can't I choose the direction my slideshow transitions?

I want to use the slideshow widget to make a sort of animation bringing two object together at ther center of the screen. The slideshow widget does not allow me to choose a direction. Why not and what can I do?

At present there are no controls to reverse the slide transition direction.
The animation you describe could be created in Edge Animate and then Placed into Muse or could be achieved using motion Scroll Effects.

  • Create excel hyperlink directly to PDF page in a file

I have seen some old posts on this saying this could not be done. Wondering if anyone has developed a way to do this yet?
I want my excel hyperlink to take me to a specified page within a PDF that is filed on my harddrive.
I'm able to link the PDF but not to a specific page.
Any ideas how I might do this?

    Hi,
    it's me again.
Well, with the PDF open parameters I am now able to open a pdf document via HTML on a specific page number.
However page numbers are changing so I want do define a special Article using the following command:
    http://example.org/doc.pdf#nameddest=Article16
but the pdf opens always at the first page. Is there something to do in the pdf document with Article 16 first ?

    please help me..

    Hi
You can select the Hero Image and from Hyperlink drop down you can link the image, so that when users click on image will be redirected to link that you setup in Muse.

  • Slideshow button

Is there anyone who has a solution to the static "play slideshow" button in photo pages, or somehow a way around it?
At least in previous version you could move it around on the page. The ideal would be if you would be able to to hyperlink directly to the slideshow.

Identical problem on my G5, but it slideshow works fine on a G4 iMac and Intel Mac Book Pro. I'd like to know the fix also. I see a number of others are having the same problem.

  • Pages 5 hyperlinks why has it gone? What alternatives now?

I often used the hyperlink in Pages. It was a truly sensible, applesque! and simple method to creat hyperlinks direct to sites for my students and for use in teaching and writing articles.
My old 'Pages' still has them and I forgot about the links on them and every time I open an old Pages doc I was asked did I want to upgrade the doc, simply forgetting many had hyperlinks.
Why has it gone. What do I do now.
    Apple please bring it back!!
    Thanks,
    George UK

Thank you Peter. In my estimation an update adds new facilities that builds upon the experiences gained and is therefore something of value, an improvement.
If it is nt what is the point of it? That really is a backward step.....come on Apple why take away a perfectly useful feature and replace it with.... er nothing?
    Thanks.

  • Hyperlinks autofill, and don't erase

When I use the drop down Insert menu to insert a hyperlink directed to a webpage, the link always autofills with livepage.apple.com. I can't figure out how to clear that field so that I can type or paste in the webage that I need. How do I ensure that I can avoid having to delete the apple address every time and then retyping my intended address?

I always use the link inspector to create & edit hyperlinks.

  • Slideshow or....

I search for info on this subject and a lot of it was years old so I'm hoping there is a new solution.
I'm setting up a photography website. On my portfolio page I want people to see the work I've done. It could be in the manner of a slideshow, a moving band of pix, or hover over a thumbnail of one of my pix and have it open to a larger one. I want them to see my work in a larger size.
I publish to mobileme right now but I could use GoDaddy if it's easier to make this happen there. Any ideas?

Susan ~ One solution of several is to use a Flickr slideshow. You can either create a text or image hyperlink to the slideshow or embed it into your iWeb page via the HTML Snippet window. There's even a way to link to an external site (such as a Flickr slideshow) from iWeb's navigation bar. Also see this article:
    _Flickr's slideshows get cinematic, viral_
...Notice that the sample embedded slideshow there, once playing, shows a full-screen button at lower right. And clicking it doesn't take you out from the current window/tab — it simply goes into full-screen mode (and hitting the Escape key exits that mode).
By the way, Flickr's maximum pixel size is 1024. You can submit larger, but they'll be compressed and resized by Flickr. See this FAQ.

We cannot attach a hyperlink directly to a step in BPF.
What we can do is to upload a webpage in the content library and then we can call the content library from the BPF.
    Hope this helps.

  • Export Hyperlinks only... where's my build in effects and type?

I have a presentation that I'm planning on exporting to QT.
I have hyperlinks directing the viewer to different pages/slides.
The Hyperlinks have build in's that start automatically after the page transition.
Everything looks and works fine when I play from keynote.
When I export to QT with the hyperlink option this happens:
    - I can see the links on the first page.
    - I click to go to another page and it takes me there.
    - I click to go back to the first page and ALL the build in's and links are gone.
    What's up?

Because QuickTime plays back video linearly, the ONLY way this will play correctly is if you click on the links "in order" (Stout, ale1, ale2, ale3) because that's the order they appear in the movie. Using the slides as you currently have them set up, there's no way to recreate what you're trying to do.
I think you're going to need at LEAST 10 slides (instead of the current 5). Start by placing a slide in FRONT of each of your current slides THEN linking to THOSE slides instead of the slide with your build.
I'm looking at this now, and it appears that Keynote creates slides a bit differently. As a result, this +may not+ be able to work even with the tricks I stated (my movie is created looking just like yours and not advancing).
