Hyperlink doesn't highlight as an option
When I try to add a link (webpage) to my existing iWeb website homepage the hyperlink option does not highlight as an option. Both inspector and insert dropdown menus fail to allow the addition of a link of any kind. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. As Mac Fanatic mentioned you need to either have the text or the text box selected when using the Inspector to assign a hyperlink. If you select the text box you can assign any text color you'd like but the link will not indicated if the site has been visited.
If you select the text and assign a link, the text color will be what the default color for that theme is. This shows a nav bar created with text boxes and each link a different color.

Illustrator CS2 doesn't highlight selected items any more
hello, i use illustrator cs2, and since a few days - without having changed any options - the program doesn't highlight selected items any more. neither does it highlight selected text... so editing items becomes a guessing game which is extremeley annoying... i can't find anything on this in the help file... i hope anybody here can help me!

When I'm typing an email to forward to someone and I add an email address or website link Firefox doesn't highlight it so the link can be clicked on by the person I'm sending the email to. This problem doesn't occur when I use Internet explorer to login to my email. It automatically highlights the link so it can be clicked on and re-directed to the email address or website. How can I remedy this?
Just above the text area that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).<br />

My computer has been authorised and has the newest version of iTunes. My iPhone shoes the option of choosing my computer's music but my computer doesn't even show the option of music, but shows apps, movies, tv-shows and books. When i choose the option of find music to download from my phone, it says i have downloaded all yet i haven't and the music isn't in my library.
This was my first time when i bought anything from iTunes store and it also shows in my account information that i have bought these two songs but when trying to download them from my iCloud it doesn't work. Also when i click on the songs in my iTunes store on my computer, it says i have bought them but doesn't show the option of playing them. It's not jailbroke or anything but it says the terms and conditions have changed. When I agree, it says your session has times out. Try again. But it doesn't give me an option to try again and has a done button underneath it. I press done. The textplus app says "Waiting..." and is gray. What can I do to download this app?
iTunes has to contact Apple to send your agreement to the new conditions, but your security software has to allow this contact. If blocked, you'll get a time out message. Suddenly I have over 300 emails appearing on my ipad2. I know you are supposed to be able to change that by going to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", then select "Show". Well, when I do that, "Show" doesn't appear as an option. Any thoughts on how I get "Show" back?
Tap the blue + sign in the upper right corner of the Safari toolbar to open a new tab. Then look in the lower left portion of the screen for the word "Private". Tap that to turn off private browsing.

So yeah...last night I was checking out my iPod (bored at the in-laws) and all of a sudden the screen went blank and the only thing I can get it to do is have the black screen w/ the white apple logo on it. It won't turn on, doesn't give the the option to power down, it won't charge, AND it's NOT being recognized when I plug it into my computer. Not by iTunes OR my computer. I've tried holding down the top button and the home button at the same time...nothing. And since it's not being recognized on my computer, I cannot restart it or go back to factory settings. Someone please help! I've had it for 18 months so the warranty is no longer valid and I don't know how to fix it. THANK YOU in advance!
- I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then see if iTunes will see the iPod. try both with the iPod not connected to the computer and with it connect. For recovery mode see:

The candy crunch icon has disappeared from my phone. I went to the App Store and pull it back up and it doesn't give me the option to install it, just open. When I do, it takes to my game where I left off. So my game is still there, but I can't install it on my phone.

It sounds like the application you are looking for is indeed still on your iPhone. You can confirm this by searching in the Spotlight Search for this application. It may have accidentally been moved to a folder, or an additional Home screen:

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on. So i went through all the set up steps when switching it on for the first time.
My problem is that iPhoto and iMovie are not installed, and when i go to the app store the icons have an accept button, it then prompts me for my apple ID, obviously these a registered to the original owner, and says i need that ID in order to download them, or i'll have to purchase them.
I'm happy to purchase them, but it doesn't give me that option, every time i search for them in the app store they always come up with the accept option and no purchase option.

Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....

When I press "select backup location" in the Time Machine section of System Preferences, my external hard drive doesn't appear as an option. How do I change this? My external hard drive is a FreeAgent GoFlex Drive.

Do you see a price next to Lion ($29.99 or local equivalent)? Click that to purchase and download it. You'll have to sign in if you're not already.
Also, your profile is wrong if you don't already have Lion (which IS 10.7).

My phone doesn't give me the option to turn mirroring on when trying to connect to apple tv. As far as I can see everything is updated and the AirPlay is turned on. Be grateful if anyone knows what's wrong.

I'm trying to record only part of my screen using my Quicktime 10.0, but once I press record in the "Screen recording" feature it automatically starts recording and doesn't give me the option to choose what part of the screen to capture. What gives?
QuickTime version 10 can only record the entire screen.
10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 offer part of the screen recording.
