Hyperlink from a button.

I want to have a hyperlink but from a normal button, can I do this?

I was not copying/pasting, I was typing code from one computer to another - I have it formatted correctly from the perspective of capitalization.
Do I need to call those functions in some way?  If so, how do I write that?  I read somewhere that I needed to "import" the navigateToURL function.  How do I properly put those on the page?

  • Hyperlinks from placed PDF

    Hi
    Is there any ways to pick up hyperlinks from placed PDFand convert them to InDesign hyperlinks (or buttons)?
    Of course there´s no native text in placed PDF but converted hyperlinks could be for instance rectangles on the top of the original hyperlink.

    Importing PDF pages
    Using the Place command, you can specify which pages you want to import from a multipage PDF: You can place a single page, a range of pages, or all pages. Multipage PDF files let designers combine illustrations for a publication into a single file.
    The page range options appear when you select Show Import Options in the Place dialog box. The dialog box includes a preview, so you can view a thumbnail of the pages before you place them. As you place each page, InDesign reloads the graphics icon with the next page, letting you place the pages one after the next.
    i InDesign doesnt import movies, sound, links, or buttons when you place a PDF file.

  • How to keep hyperlink from excel to PDF?

    I have some Hyperlinks in excel, and when i convert to PDF, they dont work.
    I already installed the Adobe Acrobat PRO XI (Trial version)
    How can i do this?
    tks

    Step 1. Install PDF Editor
    1) Download PDF Editor and install this software by double clicking the exe file. During the installation, please follow installation message and choose the right option according to your needs.
    2) Once the installation finishes, there will be an icon on the desktop. Please launch this software by double clicking the icon.
    Step 2. Remove Hyperlinks from PDF
    1) The following snapshot is from the software interface. Please click option Open to add PDF file to software interface. Or you can simply drag PDF file to software interface.
    2) Please find option Edit Link then click it. The mouse will turn to cross. Please drag area around the picture which will lead you to website.
    3) Then there will be red rectangle frame around it. Right click the red frame and choose Property in the dropdown list. Then you will see the dialogue box like I showed in the left named Link Properties. Here you can set link actions, like open a page in a document, open a file or open a website file. Those options are useful when you need to add hyperlinks. Meanwhile it is helpful when you need to remove hyperlinks.
    4) If there is link on the image, the link will be shown on the Property tab. Please simply remove it here and then click button OK to back to the main interface.
    5) By this way, the link will be removed successfully.

  • How can I remove multiple hyperlinks from a slab of text?

    Hi everyone,
    I copy a lot of text from websites into Pages documents, and I'm looking for a way to remove multiple hyperlinks from a slab of text all at once without having to remove each hyperlink individually? This would save me a lot of time!
    Not sure if Pages actually has this feature - if not then it would be a good feature request. It would be similar to MS Word's function to clear a slab of text of all formatting (including hyperlinks).
    Any tips would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    -Chris

    Select all the text concerned. Then:
    This will stop them being live links but they will probably be blue and underlined. Click the underline button twice, and use the colour selector to turn them black.

  • Hyperlink from summary field in crosstab??

    I want to enable a hyperlink on a summary field in a crosstab so that clicking on it will produce a subreport of the detailed items that are included in the count displayed in the summary field.
    Keeping my username in mind ;-> I have tried everything I could think of and haven't found the magic incantation yet. I was expecting to be able to select a drill down, but that radio button is greyed out for the field I want to hyperlink from. I've tried a multitude of sane and insane things within all of the hyperlink tabs I could find, but no success.
    I've read as much of the documentation as I could find, both from the CD and online, and I'm stumped.
    Has anyone done this, and if so, could you please offer some tips??
    Thanks!!!!

    One thought I have is to right-click on the field in the cross-tab and select "Format Object".  I'm using CR for VS2005 and I have a Hyperlink tab that allows me to configure a hyperlink.  Using this hyperlink, you could navitage to another webform with another report to display the details for that summary.  Just a suggestion!

    We have a simple little site we built in Catalyst and everything works great. The only problem is that we cannot figure out how to add a hyperlink to one of the buttons in the animation. We simply want to be able to click on the button and go to another site (the client's Facebook page specifically). Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

  • Recently I have been unable to access hyperlinks from my email account. How can I fix this?

    Recently I have lost the ability to access hyperlinks from my email.  Need help fixing this issue.

    Try quitting Mail and then reset the iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Missing hyperlinks from MS Word Mac and websites

    Dear Adobe users,
    I do not have any luck after a few hours' search via google.  I tried to create a pdf file from a webpage with hyperlinks.
    After some searches, I knew printing as Adobe PDF does not work as it is a print file.
    Then I copy the web page in MS Word Mac 2011 and save as pdf. The resulting pdf file is a just a document with blue underlined for those links.
    Creating pdf from Adobe XI pro Mac does not work either. It is another file with blue underlined again.
    Some said the ribbon helps. This seem meaningless to use as a Mac user.
    Is there really no way to create a pdf with hyperlink from website?  If you are telling me I'd better live with the Word document, I am speechless.
    Thanks.

    This is a 15-20 year old defect in Acrobat.
    This one of those everyone points to Acrobat and Adobe points to everyone but themselves.
    Word URLs Mailto from Office Mac were ignored. you had to add them Manual and even doing so they don't turn blue and underline as they are supposed to.  what makes URLs Mailtos work is a unique piece of JavaScript code. unfortunately Adobe doesn't use industry standard JavaScript. Its unique to Adobe only.
    I say were ignored Acrobat X and XI have partially  addressed this problem. As long as Urls and Mailtos were created by word by Office's Auto correct feature the Following to methods will work
    Method #1:
    create the Word Document making sure any URLs and Mailto turn blue and become underlined and work.
    save as docx document.
    Go to File Menu > Print
    Click and hold mouse button (touch pad) down on PDF button until context menu appears.
    Choose Adobe quality PDF
    Follow Directions as they come up (this uses Adobe PDF Generator)
    Save PDF.
    Open PDF you should be able see and use all Urls and Mailtos created by Words Auto-Correct
    Method #2
    create the Word Document making sure any URLs and Mailto turn blue and become underlined and work.
    save as docx document.
    Make sure Acrobat is Quit
    Make sure the icon of Acrobat is in the Dock (some what equivalent PC's Startup Menu)
    Locate the file just saved
    Drag and Drop file on to the Acrobat icon in the Dock
    Wait until Acrobat Processes the File.
    When PDF shows up save file.
    This method works with Smaller Files best. The larger the file the longer it will take to Process, and be more likely to fail.
    Neither Method works Urls and Mailtos created with Word's insert URL command.
    That will take another 20 years to resolve .
    The PDF command in apple's print menu if you just click real fast and Word's SaveAs... PDF uses Apple's PDF engine that will always not be have active links.
    Curios thing if you take a Mac Office word file and do nothing to it and open in Word and create a PDF even the links created by the insert URL command will work. So the issue has nothing to do with the way Office Mac Creates file it’s the way Acrobat Mac Processes Word Files.

  • FRM-92101 error while running report from a button or menu

    Hi All,
    I am getting the error FRM-92101 while running report without parameter from a button or menu. I am using Developer Suit 10g. I get the error as it shows there has some configuration problem in my form. Will you please help me anyone how can i solve the problem. My previous forms running very well both with parameter and without parameter.
    Arif

    Hello Sir,
    Thanks for your cooperation. I have solved my problem by myself. The fact was that, when i tried with the following code which made my report---
    SELECT br.bid, br.bname, br.branchtxnstatus, dif.difference
    FROM branch br,
    (SELECT gladbrid branchid,
    SUM
    (CASE
    WHEN ga.gl_acc_categry IN ('L', 'I')
    THEN gd.gladbalance
    ELSE -1 * gd.gladbalance
    END
    ) AS difference
    FROM glaccount ga, glaccountdetail gd
    WHERE ga.glid = gd.gladglid
    GROUP BY gladbrid) dif
    WHERE dif.branchid = br.bid AND br.branchtxnstatus = :Br_Status
    and dif.difference!=0
    ORDER BY br.bid;
    and the code against the button or menu item is---
    DECLARE
    repid REPORT_OBJECT;
    v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
    rep_status VARCHAR2(20);
    BEGIN
    repid := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('ASSET');
    v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
    rep_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(v_rep);
    WHILE rep_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
    LOOP
    rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
    END LOOP;
    IF rep_status = 'FINISHED' THEN
    /*Display report in the browser*/
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://192.168.0.21:8889/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||
    substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repserver90','_blank');
    ELSE
    message('Error when running report');
    END IF;
    Clear_message;
    END;
    Clear_message;
    which has shown the error FRM-92101 and didn't run the report.
    In that case I have changed the query to run the report. first of all i create a view following the query and build the report using a simple select query. that's etc. my report running fine now.
    It is mentioned that there had no error on my codes.

  • Is a Windows registry error responsible for Firefox opening two browser windows whenever I use a hyperlink from a Word file?

    Whenever I use a hyperlink from an MS Word document, Firefox opens two windows instead of one. The first window is the one I need. The second contains a message that the page could not be found and the address bar contains the URL appended with "Firefoxhtml/shell/open/command".
    This problem is similar but NOT identical to one in MozillaZine headed "Windows error opening internet shortcut or local HTML file - Firefox". But none of the solutions in that article work for my problem: I've disabled all extensions but that hasn't helped. I've tried editing file types so that the DDE is removed (I'm not a teccie so have no idea what that means), but after following the instructions to the letter it doesn't seem to remove the DDE. Also I read that removing the DDE is not a good idea for people like me who need to open numerous firefox browser windows at one time. Furthermore, the MozzilaZine article refers only to problems opening a URL link in a MS Outlook email when Firefox is NOT running. My problem concerns the opening of URL links in MS Word when Firefox IS running!
    I've run countless different virus programmes, rootkit checkers etc but they all come up blank. However, I did come across guidance on this website: http://antivirus.about.com/od/windowsbasics/a/shellopen.htm which suggests that something may have altered the shell open command for two registry keys used by Firefox.
    # HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htafile\shell\open\command
    # HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htfile\shell\open\command
    The default value for each of these should be "%1" %*. But on my user, the default value reads:
    (for htafile) c:\windows\system32\mshta.exe "%1"%*
    (for htfile) c:\programfiles\windowsNT\hypertrm.exe"%1
    What should the value be for these two files?
    Can anyone sort this for me please? Bear in mind I'm not a teccie!

  • Hyperlink from PL SQL Report to a branch

    Hi,
    Is there a "good" way to hyperlink from PL SQL report to a branch?
    I cant use the regular report, as there is a lot of data and I need to control the layout.
    I would like to go to another page and pass data to one known field.
    Have tried googling and I found this page:
    http://www.lucidprocess.com/blog/building-hyperlinks-in-oracle-apex-reports/
    But it seems a bit "hacky", eg.. many places to edit if the page where to move or change in the future (or if one copies the page).
    Is there a more "clean" way to do this, or does one have to get his/her hands dirty for such a task?

    Thank you.
    I managed to write the other code too:
    "f?p='||:APP_ID||':686:'||:APP_SESSION||'::'||:DEBUG||'::P686_TBNR,P686_VIS_REGISTER:'||oppdrag.PE_TBNR_BET||'%2CHUSKNYTT"instead of firing the branch and using JS, I just set the two fields that change the logic and basis of the page. However as you see, the "flaw" with the code I wrote, is that if the fields or anything were to change, it will be harder to go in and edit reports that have this type of code.
    Have just started with APEX, but I must say I like it a lot..
    Just wish there where something inbetween the sql reports and the pl sql reports..
    The possibilities of the PL SQL Reports meeting the SQL Reports flexibility would be super.
    However, maybe it's good not everything is served on a plate, as this forces me to learn it more in depth. I also love challenges and I like making things properly :-)

  • Hyperlinks from CHM to PDF

    Our documentation comprises On-line Help as CHM files, and User Guides as PDF. Up to now the user guides were printed but we wish to provide them as PDF for on-screen use.
    Now we also wish to have hyperlinks from CHM to PDF and vice versa. We can presumably (I haven't yet tested this) handle PDF-to-CHM using the context-sensitive help functionality, but when we make links from CHM-to-PDF we are unable to go to a specified location in the PDF.
    The calls we use are of the type:
    <a href='SomeDocument.pdf#page=10'>
    <a href='SomeDocument.pdf#G1025448'>
    <a href='SomeDocument.pdf#nameddest=SomeChapter'>
    and they work in the preview window but not from CHM; the PDF opens on page 1 rather than at the specified page or marker.
    I had some success embedding the PDF call in a batch file and calling that, but that will be unmaintainable.
    We use RoboHelp 8 and FrameMaker 7.1. Would updating to TCS2 (ie Frame 9) help us? From what I could find on Adobe.com TCS allows importing from Frame but we do not want to import, just to cross-refer, preferably with links which can be updated automatically.
    Anybody who can advise us?
    --- Derek

    I have made a dent in the problem, can't say I've cracked it yet.
    RoboWizard has a page describing the use of HTML Help Shortcuts which is got me started (thanks Rick, if you'll post here I'll give you a "Helpful Answer").
    The procedure I now use is, in RoboHelp: Insert > HTML Help Controls > Shortcut. I fill in second part of the wizard like this:
    so that it calles Acrobat to display the PDF (full path given), with parameters to search for a string "bookmark_2".
    Then in the PDF I add a comment using Comments > Tools > Highlight and edit its properties like this:
    When I compile the CHM and click the link, Acrobat opens and searches for the string. I made sure it was unique so the user is brought to the correct place.
    Now it's a bit clumsy since you have to add the bookmark manually after creating the PDF from Frame, but it does work.
    The other problem is that the HTML Control is not editable except in RoboHelp's HTML view. You can edit it in Design view but the edit doesn't stick. In HTML view the link details are present three times and you have to edit them all.
    Anybody have bright ideas to streamline this process?
    --- Derek
