Hyperlink in Forms possible???

Is there any option in oracle 9i forms to create hyperlink.
If yes how.? n if No. then any other option to fulfill the requirement.
This is only for good Look n Feel.

What format are those music scores (I'm not familiar with cubase documents). But, it may be that Adobe PDF Pack doesn't support that format. In that case, Acrobat is the way to go. You can then print your files to PDF as you'd like. You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days to see whether it's going to work for you. If you decide it is, and you'd like to use it going forward, you could convert your PDF Pack subscription into an Acrobat subscription.

you can use a text-item with no bevel and when the user clicks in the item you write a
web-show_document ();
the value of the item is e.g. the name of the link and can be used as parameter to the show_document

Download the 10gR2 demo zip file. Its called "hyperlink". Note that this is a demo only and may or may not work the way you want or even as we intended. No QA has been performed on this PJC.

Set Hyperlinks in Form List/Menu?

I'm new to adding form items to my sites and I'm wondering if
it's possible to set each item in a drop down menu to hyperlink to
another site. I'm sure it is, but I'm missing where you place the
link. I thought perhaps it went in the value field, but realize now
it doesn't. Or is there another method I should use to create a
link menu?

It's not hard. Just work through the tuts and learn to not be afraid of code view.
Sure wish there was a solution in design mode (with just a little code checking).

how do i make a hyperlink when clicked on by a visitor goto my mail.html page and input into a field in my mail form, on that page, the URL of the page the hyperlink was clicked on

ok i do not quite understand what u mean by all this: but if this is JSP do somethin like <a href="<%= blah blah + ?<paramname = paramValue">" %> > Link </a>
Where blah blah is the current page name , so u sort of re render the same page , do <% request.getParameter("paramName") %> to get the paramValue. Check if it is not null with an if statement, and if it is not include page <mail.html> or wotever the page name is.

Error 20001 in Tabular Form, possible bug?

Hi everybody.
I've got the error
"Error in mru internal routine: ORA-20001: Error in MRU: row= 1, ORA-20001: ORA-20001: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process."
using a built-in tabular form with normal MRU process.
The problem occur when i apply a format mask or a css style to a single element (i.e. "999G999G999G999G990D00" and "class=grey disabled" in element attributes)
Whitout formatting, the submit process works fine.
I think that this could be correct for the mask, in effect we "change" data received from query. But why we have error also adding only CSS style?
In any case, it's possible to apply a format in a tabular form and have the submit process working fine?

Some more info:
if i put "style="background-color:#D4D4D4;" in element attribute it's all ok.
if i write "class=grey disabled" calling a css class from an uploaded css file i got the error.

Hi,
This is not a bug, but a "feature" of browsers. When input items are disabled, they are not submitted with the form. This causes problems with the checksums that are performed when the page is loaded and when the records are checked to see which records need updating - as there are a different number of fields, the checksums are always different, hence the error message.
The way around this, assuming that you need disabled items, is to enable them immediately before the submit takes place. Have a look at the enableItems() part of: Re: A better method of handling tabular forms with variable column type?

I need to create a link to a webpage from a 6i Client Server Form. I would also like not to have to specify a certain browser. Some people using this may have IE and others Netscape.

HYPERLINKS is it possible to use "_blank" to open PDF links in new window?

When I export my PDF from Numbers '08, is it possible to have my Hyperlinks open in a new window? Possibly using the "_blank" HTML function inside the URL dialog? Right now the links just replace the PDF.

Yes, true. But there is a way (in HTML) to force a link to open in a new window by including the "target=_blank" command. I'm wondering if Apple (or anyone else) has found a way to embed this into the "Hyperlink" property within Numbers? If not, it would be nice if future versions had a check box to include this option with a link in the Hyperlink property inspector.

Creating PDF forms: possible in InDesign?

Hi there
I'd like to create PDF forms to be used for email questionnaires and surveys. The last time I looked into it I found that I needed to create the PDF first and then use another application (I can't remember the name) to add the fields for the form. I found it to be a little clumsy, and didn't have the layout control that I do with InDesign. Is there a way of creating forms entirely in InDesign?
Any help would be appreciated.

That would be Acrobat Pro.
Nothing ID can do for you here. You still create the PDF with a layout package, and add form fields (which are a PDF feature, not a layout thing) with Acrobat. Fortunately, Acrobat has a nearly magical Form Field wizard that'll help you through that process as painless as possible.

Hyperlink in forms

I want to create a HyperLink Button in our Forms application that opens an IE Browser for another application which resides on a different Server. I will also pass a data string to the other application. After the work is done on this application, The user closes the browser and is back on the original Form.
There is the function called WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT but it can only be used in web forms...which unfortunately we don't have.
I have tried using the HOST command and have successfully opened a new window , closed it and come back to my original forms. Bur HOST command does not seem to have a feedback capability for me to read if the connection was successful and if the Host system was found or not found.
Is there any other way around this?

Using Host(), you can get feedback, you need to collect the log file when you attempt to logon the remote server, then read into the content to find out the error code.

I usually use a push button with the following code:

Again you need forms6 for web.show_document but the host command ought to work in 4.5 client server.

Spry multiple -OR logic- validation in one form possible?

Dear readers, i'd like to ask for help.
I have a single form with two user-input field:
1: text input
2: select
The user must fill one of them, but only one! Each input must
be validated because of syntax, the validation works well, but each
input must be filled before the submit is possible. I'd like to
know, is there any method to check if one of the inputs is filled,
and validation will be succeed?
(each input must be in same form, with separated forms the
problem is not exist)

The EXEC_SQL package allows you to access multiple Oracle database servers on several different connections at the same time. Connections can also be made to ODBC data sources via the Open Client Adapter (OCA), which is supplied with Developer. To access non-Oracle data sources, you must install OCA and an appropriate ODBC driver.
The EXEC_SQL package contains procedures and functions you can use to execute dynamic SQL within PL/SQL procedures. Like the DBMS_SQL package, the SQL statements are stored in character strings that are only passed to or built by your source program at runtime.
