Hyperlink in Outlook

Hi Experts,
I have created one workflow and inside it I have created one TASK. I am using the Item BO BUS2000131 to do the processing and for sending mail.
It is working properly and also I am getting Links for the Order under "Objects and attachment" in SAP Inbox. The Link is working Fine and on clicking it is taking me to the right order in Web UI.
But when it goes to the Outlook I can see two Hyper Link :- 1) Workflow Inbox and 2) Display Work Item.
And none of them takes me to order.
At the same time I have another Workflow where I have used header BO BUS2000115 and it is working properly in both SAP inbox and Outlook. But in Outlook I have 3 Hyperlinks in this case :- 1) Workflow Inbox 2) Display Work Item and 3) Execute
I don't know from where the 3options is coming for the BUS2000115 and not for BUS2000131.
Please help me to get the 3Option in BUS2000131.
With Regards,
Anomitro

Hello,
In that case it sounds like a BUS2000115 instance was passed to its workitem and no BUS2000131 instance was passed to its workitem. Check this in the workflow log or in the workflow builder. Probably all you have to do is provide a (relevant) instance, then a link will appear that links to the default method of that BOR object.

  • Hyperlinks from Outlook 2010 don't work anymore (Firefox is my default browser)

Since I installed IE 9 I can't use Hyperlinks in Outlook anylonger (Firefox remains my default browser!). I tried already
    a) set IE 9 default (Hyperlinks works) and switch back to Firefox (Error message and Hyperlinks don't work)
    b) "Start" + R with any link doesn't work either c) delete in the registry HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxURL\ & HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxHTML\
    c) Updated Firefox to Version 4 and things are even worse (Firefox crashes now)
But nothing works, can someone help me?

Is it using yahoo as its search engine, or switching to yahoo's browser. If it is using yahoo as its search engine, you can change that in settings>options>search and at the top it will show you a button that you can click to choose your default search engine.
    Have a great day!!

  • Hyperlinks from Outlook are no longer working since updating to 8.

Hyperlinks from Outlook are no longer working since updating to 8.
I get a pop-up with "URL" An error occurred in sending the command to the application.

Well, I've had to downgrade to Firefox 4.0 in order to get hyperlinking back.

  • Hyperlinks in Outlook error "the operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer"

A user started getting this error message when clicking on any hyperlinks from outlook. We have not made any changes to his policy or computer. When I searched
the issue a Microsoft article said to reset IE to default but that did not work. I also tried re installing it completely but no luck.

    Hi,
Do you hava other web browsers (such as Chrome or Firefox) installed before? Did you uninstall the browser without setting Internet Explorer as the default browser? If this is the case, we may try the following steps to fix the issue:
    1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
    2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.html
    3.
Right click the value for the .html key and select Modify.
    4. Change the value from “ChromeHTML” (or
FireFoxHTML or something else ) to “htmlfile”.
    5.
Repeat step 4 for .htm, shtml, .xht, .xhtml, .xhtm keys.
    6. Exit Registry Editor and restart Outlook to see the result.
Pleas let me know the result.

  • Hyperlinks in Outlook 2010 emails do not open browser

I have 2 PCs with nearly identical software configurations except for the OS.
One PC uses Windows 7 Ultimate x64, the other uses Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
Both have Office Professional Plus 2010 and Norton Security Suite 4 installed.
Both PCs have all available updates installed.
My problem is with hyperlinks contained in emals received into Outlook 2010.
On the Ultimate system, the hyperlinks work properly, that is, clicking a hyperlink opens a browser window, as expected.
On the Home Premium system, the hyperlinks don't work at all correctly.
The first time any hyperlink is clicked, a message box titled "Windows" pops up with the following content:
      Windows can't open this file.
      File:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=LO2eh6f5Go0
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it.
Windows can go online to look it up automatically or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer.
What do you want to do?
The first option button is labeled "Use the web service to find the correct program."
The second option button is labeled "Select a program from a list of installed programs."
If I select the first option, nothing appears to happen.
If I select the second, I get a pop up with a list of apps.  I select Internet Explorer. check the box labeled "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", click OK and the browser opens.
However, if I go back to the same email and click the same hyperlink during the Outlook session, a window pops up asking me to confirm that I want to open the link using IE.
If I click on any other hyperlink, in the same email or any other email, I get the first pop up "Windows needs to know what program..."
I didn't see any Outlook settings that would affect this behavior.
Any clues about what needs to be done to fix this very annoying behavior?

    Hi,
First, please check if you can open other URL in the email, such as
    http://www.microsoft.com.
Based on the current situation, the file should be played by Media Player. Now let’s try to set Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player as the default program:
    ===========
    1.
In a window of Internet Explorer, click
    Tools > Internet Options.
    2.
    Click the
Programs tab, under Internet programs, click the
    Set Programs button.
    3.
    Click
    Set your default program.
    4.
    Click on
Internet Explorer, click Set this program as default, and click the
    OK button.
    5.
    Click on
Windows Media Player, click Set this program as default, and click the
    OK button.
    6.
Reboot the computer and check the results again.
Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for
you, please feel free to let me know.

  • After uninstalling internet explorer, how do I get hyperlinks in Outlook to open

Yesterday, I uninstalled Internet Explorer in an effort to free up some hard drive space. Monzilla Firefox is my default browzer and works fine. After IE was uninstalled (using the control panel feature) hyperlinks in my Outlook email fail to open. When the hyperlink is clicked a dialog box opens asking for which program is to be used to open the link. When Firefox is selected another screen pops up saying Firefox cannot find the file :Firefox can't find the file at /C:C:/Program Files/ParetoLogic/PCHA/noapp.

Need to change my description. When Firefox is my default and I click a hyperlink, nothing happens. When IE is my default, the hyperlink opens in IE. Problem is, I prefer to use Firefox.

  • I cannot open hyperlinks in outlook using Firefox. It might work for a few moments and then it doesn't.Sometimes it works when I exit and reopen Outlook. Help!

When clicking on a hyperlink in an email, nothing happens. Sometimes when I exit outlook and then reopen it, I might be able to open a hyperlink a couple of times and then it happens all over again!

    Hi,
We have a requirement to open an outlook mail on click of a link on webdynpro screen and also inlcude a hyperlink in the body of the mail.
I created a LinkToURL and assinged the following to the 'reference' property :-
    mailto:?body=http://<xyz>:80/DSARCLNK_AP10D/CONTENTSERVER.ASP?get&pVersion=0045&contRep=D1&docId=AP10D_332
Outlook opens properly, but the complete link is not appearing in the body of the e-mail.
it shows just the following :-

  • Disable OWA hyperlink in Outlook 2013

Is there a GPO setting that removes the hyperlink to OWA that appears next to the "Account Settings" button under "Info"?
It appears for all users and some of them have OWA disabled, so they click on it and try playing around with it and can't log in because it's disabled for them.  I'd rather remove the link altogether so they can't do that.

    Hi,
We cannot get the Office ID to disable the URL shown under "Access this account on the web" in Outlook 2013. There is no other GPOs to do that either. This should be a product limitation.
A same question in Outlook 2010:

  • Email with hyperlink to Outlook from WF

    Hi All,
Requirement: I am working on enhancing our WF with sending emails to outlook with a hyperlink that will open SBWP->inbox->workitem. This hyperilink sent should be opening SAPGUI from windows.
My Achievements: I configured SWNCONFIG also activated the services from SCIF. I am able to send a email with the link:
    http:/abcd:1234/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bwsp?sap-client=100
    Issue:
    1. First of all i am getting this link in the mail as pain text and not a hyperlink. What am i missing?
I did search the forum and found couple of post with this issue but  they had their URL pretty long.
    2. When i copy this link in the browser it works but is opening SAP GUI for HTML. I am looking to it to open SAP GUI for
WINDOWS. How can i achieve this?
    3. To open a specific activity from SBWP how do i figure what parameters to send? ex: PO# with the link.
    4. Even before i implemented 'Extended Notification' the email was being sent with link. As we had all SCOT working. What is
the purpose of SWN_SELSEN scheduled background job for?
    Thanks in advance,
    Karuna

    Hi Nitin
Sounds like you are still missing configuration in transaction SWNCONFIG (or SWNADMIN - whichever you are using).
    You need:
    a) Inbox_link_url maintained in General Settings
    b) Subscription parameter maintained for your subscription within your business category/scenario to say what type of links you want.
    c) Schedule selection and delivery selection etc. configured as per usual for extended notifications.
    d) SWN_SELSEN program scheduled as a batch job
If you can't see the links still try checking the log information in transaction SLG1 under object WF subobject NOTIFICATIONS and read through the log to see if there is a problem with creating the links.
Other than that you do seem to be a little confused?  A hyperlink is used to open SAPGUI for HTML. To open SAPGUI for WINDOWS requires a shortcut attachment because it is not web-based it is based on a client application,i.e. SAP Logon.

  • Domain policy to disable hyperlinks in Outlook 2010?

Our organization is under a requirement to configure text in Outlook that represents Internet and network paths in such a way that these must not be automatically turned into hyperlinks, i.e. verify "Internet and network path into hyperlinks"
is not configured. Is there a Office 2010 domain policy that can enforce this setting?  I am only aware of a way to do this in individual user profiles.

    Hi,
    Do you have the
Office 2010 Administrative Template files loaded? If so, we can find the GPO setting under:
    User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Microsoft Outlook 2010\Outlook Options
Double click "Internet and network paths into hyperlinks" on the right pane and change the setting to
    Disabled.
In addition, we can also change the setting via modifying registry.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\policies\microsoft\office\14.0\outlook\options\autoformat
    DWORD: pgrfafo_25_1
Value: 1 to enable; 0 to disable
Please note, both method only configure Outlook to turn on/off the "Internet and network path into hyperlinks" setting, users can manually change the setting back then.

  • Q5 Contacts Hyperlink from Outlook Contacts Notes

We used to be able to click on a Contact on my Blackberry that I have put numerous email addresses into the Notes section and add the email address/contact to an outgoing email.
I don't have distribution groups set up. I'm using the email links from notes.
Is this possible to do any longer?
    Thanks,

The same thing happened to me today.  After an hour of distress, I found that all my contacts had moved to a new subfolder in Outlook.  "My Contacts" is now empty, but there is a new folder called "iCloud Contacts" where they all moved.  On your PC, in Outlook, Click View / Navigation Pane / Normal.  In the left pane, you'll see the newly created contact folder.
