  • Hyperlink to other app

    Hi!
    Is it possible to create a hyperlink to a app installed on iPad?
    YouTube, mail, phone, sms is possible, but i want to create a hyperlink to a not preinsalled app, like eBay, Spotify, WordPress or whatever.

    The only "app" you can link to is iTunes by using itms instead of http.

  • Hyperlink in Reminder App

    How do I disable hyperlink in Reminders?

    I am having this same issue and am SHOCKED at the bugginess of ios 7 reminders when used with Exchange.
    I am a power Outlook user and the only thing that kept me using the iPhone after all these years was the seamless compatibility with Outlook/Exchange Tasks.
    When I create a new reminder in the app, it often overwrites the last reminder, creates a duplicate in title and keeping the parameters of the last reminder on the list.  This is a disaster!!!  I am losing reminders, all of which could be critical to the running of my business and personal life.
    I am also unable to create new lists at all, i.e. when I click on the "+" button, I am not able to tap on "New List," when I do so it simply returns me to the list of tasks.
    Also the fact that I have to scroll to the bottom of my list of tasks to add a new one ... what????  I have hundreds of tasks as well, this is completely ridiculous.
    One of the things I loved about ios 6 was how easy and quick the reminders app was, I use it all day and with the old version I could very quickly open, create a new task, and save.  With the ios 7 version all of this efficiency and ease of use is gone.
    In my opinion, ios 7 reminders is completely useless to business/Exchange users right now.  I am HUGELY dissapointed and must find a third party app or am even considering switching to Android if this is not resolved.
    C'mon Apple!!

  • Add hyperlink to Notes app?

    Does the Mountain Lion notes app allow you to add hyperlinks like you could back in Snow Leopard 10.6.8/when notes was part of the mail app?  Thanks for any insight!

    The only way I can do this & retain my own text for the hyperlink is to create the link in TextEdit:
    That's what I've been doing, and it's really frustrating (not to mention a waste of time) that I have to use multiple editors to achieve these mundane tasks. I use Notes because it syncs across my IOS devices and I love the sidebar, but in what reality do you remove features and call it an "upgrade"? With the Mac Experience based on simplicity and ease of use, it's really sad that I still need MS Word, BBEdit, EverNote & Pages just to format some words.
    Eventually, they'll merge Notes & TextEdit into one, and market it as a some revolutionary magical super-app. And because it probably won't work on older devices, you'll have to take a trip to the Apple Store and buy some new hardware. A few years back, it seemed technology was advancing at breakneck speeds but now it's evolving so slooooooooow, I feel like I'm living in the stone age. I had such high hopes for the future...
    But this is more likely

  • Hyperlink to iPad App Maps

  • JTextPane hyperlink in webstart app

    Will a hyperlink in a JTextPane in a webstart application work properly ? Usually you have to use a BasicService to launch a hyperlink so does that mean i can't use links in a JTextPane ??
    Cheers
    Alistair

    You have to implement the HyperLink Listener Interface to handle click events. There are a number of examples out there which show how to use this.
    A couple of other options for getting the full functionality of a browser are in Java Desktop Integration Components (JDIC) there is a way to open a browser from inside an application,
    Also inside a java web start app I also have liked using something called BrowserLauncher which is simple free class that from inside an application that assuming you have (security all permissions in your jnlp) you can find which is the default browser on a client machine and open a browser from links in your java application. It essentialy searches file system and makes system calls to start the default browser.

  • [CS3][JS] Internally hyperlinking a document

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to internally link a document by section numbers.  Our books have what we call an analysis, which is basically a mini-table of contents at each chapter.  The idea was to link the analysis to the section headings, starting longest section numbers first. And, their may be multiple sources linking up to one destination.
    An example of the section numbers is 53-129a.  I used a search to find all the section numbers - app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "(53.\\d\\d\\d\\l+)";
    It seems to find all the section numbers as expected, but when it gets to the final loop where it actually does the linking, it ignores the letter at the end of the section numbers and I get an error because it tries to create multiple source links to 53-129a.
    An example document is attached and the full script is below.  I've run out of ideas; please let me know if you can help.
    Thanks,
    Mike
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument
    var myHyperlinkStyle = myDoc.characterStyles.item("hyperlink");
    //Link destination:
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "(53.\\d\\d\\d\\l+)";
    app.findGrepPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Catchline"  //catchlines are the section headings
    var myFoundCatchline = app.activeDocument.findGrep();
    for (var z = myFoundCatchline.length-1; z >= 0; z--){
    //$.writeln (myFoundCatchline[z].contents)
    var myHyperlinkDestination = myDoc.hyperlinkTextDestinations.add(myFoundCatchline[z])
    //Link source(s):
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = myFoundCatchline[z].contents
    app.findGrepPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Analysis"
    var myFoundAnalysis = app.activeDocument.findGrep();
    for (var i = myFoundAnalysis.length-1; i >= 0; i--){
      //$.writeln (myFoundAnalysis[i].contents)
      var myHyperlinkTextSource = myDoc.hyperlinkTextSources.add(myFoundAnalysis[i])
      var myHyperlink = myDoc.hyperlinks.add (myHyperlinkTextSource, myHyperlinkDestination, undefined)
      myHyperlink.visible = false
      myFoundAnalysis[i].appliedCharacterStyle = myHyperlinkStyle

    Could this maybe have something to do with plugins?
    I had a similar problem before on the desktop version. I couldn't create a package because the file was created on an InDesign which had plugins I didn't have.
    Our server uses some plugins, but since the packaging is done by the same server, this shouldn't be a problem I guess.
    I tried to delete contents from the original INDD file to see if fonts, links or other things were creating the problem. Now I've got an INDD file wich is as good as empty, and it still won't package on the server. If I try to do this on my InDesign CS3 desktop version it works.
    Last thing I noticed in the instructions file, it says:
    FILE PACKAGE LIST
    1. 26a.indd; type: Adobe InDesign publication; size: 0K
    The size of the original document is about 1Mb, why would it say 0 Kb ?
    I really hope someone knows what is causing this.
    Thanks,
    Dany

  • [JS][CS6] Change hyperlink page destination

    Hi people!
    I bet this is simple, but I can't work it out.. and documentation is scarce.
    I want to change the PageDestination of a certain hyperlink via javascript.
    Lets go with this:
    app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.itemByName("Hyperlänk 8").destinationPage = 1 (or something else)
    ...the above doesn't work. What should I use instead of ".destinationPage"?
    Thanks

    PrntScr wrote:

    A page, not a number. A number could mean anything, whereas a page is .. a page
    But this
    app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.itemByName("Hyperlink 1").destinationPage = app.activeDocument.pages[0];
    does not work, because you forgot a level. A hyperlink has a destination, not a destination page, because hyperlinks can point to various items -- see http://jongware.mit.edu/idcs5/pc_Hyperlink.html.
    So, use this
    app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.itemByName("Hyperlink 1").destination.destinationPage = app.activeDocument.pages[0];
    and it will work, but only if the destination type already is a "HyperlinkPageDestination". If it's not, you have to add it first to your document's list of hyperlinkPageDestinations -- which is returned as a new object -- and then assign this object to the 'destination' property.

  • Can you add appliedCharStyle while creating hyperlink

    I noticed that the menu to create a hyperlink manually now has an option to apply a character style to the text source. Is it possible to apply a character style while adding a hyperlink in JavaScript? I am using findGrep() to iterate through a large document adding hyperlinks to found text. I currently use changeGrepPreferences (see bottom of script below). But I thought it might be faster to use the new feature.
    If it is possible to do apply the character style in while adding the hyperlink, how would I do it? My attempt below does not work.
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var charastyles = myDoc.characterStyles.everyItem().name;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = '[MAP][ELO][PR]S:';
    var foundCodes = myDoc.findGrep()
    for (var i = foundCodes.length - 1; i >= 0; i--) {
    switch (foundCodes[i].contents)
        case "MEPS:":
    var _charStyle = app.activeDocument.appliedCharacterStyle = "Hyperlink";  //
    var _hlinkSource = app.activeDocument.hyperlinkTextSources.add(foundCodes[i]);
        var _destination = app.activeDocument.hyperlinkURLDestinations.add("http://www.meps.com");
        app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.add(_hlinkSource, _destination, _charStyle) // <----this works without the _charStyle
    break;
    //three more cases go here
    alert ("Not a good selection."); exit ()
    //app.changeGrepPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = 'Hyperlink'; <--- I have been using these lines to change the character style
    //myDoc.changeGrep();
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    alert ("Done")

    If you know basic HTML you can add whatever you want after you export from Aperture, but I don't know of a way to add arbitrary hyperlinks within Aperture. Adding minor changes to the basic HTML Aperture produces is easy, but if you have a lot of extra changes, you might want to use another tool designed for more customized web pages.

  • User Customized Help??

    Hello
    My boss has come to me asking if there is anyway that we
    could offer the ability to allow our customers to customize the
    help according to their business rules/processes. Our application
    is web based and he's picturing a help link at the screen level
    that would allow users to put their own help information depending
    on how they use the system. This info would of course need to be
    retained when new versions are released. Any thoughts or has anyone
    heard of anything like this??

    Hello Kristen -
    One word: wiki.
    A search on "wiki" yields 346 million hits but what you want
    is to set up your own wiki or customer specific wiki. Then include
    a hyperlink in your app/help to the wiki.
    After a given amount of time, whatever, import the wiki
    submissions into your next version of Help.

  • Is there an app that will allow hyperlinked videos in PDF or HTML to be played?

    I have a file that I built in excel that has hyperlinks to videos and pictures, I saved this file as HTML and PDF but as of yet can not find an app or way for the videos that are hyperlinked to play. I can get the pictures to work but not video. Any one know how I can get this to work?

    Not that I know of, and having seen a picture of it
    http://www.ati-news.de/Bilder/Sapphire/AIW9700pro/TV/thruview.jpg
    Doesn't look all that great, you lose so much of the picture quality just to see a desktop?
    Better to have a 1/8 th page window floating on top of other windows instead.

  • Is there any way to add a hyperlink to text in Messages.app?

    Is there any way to add a hyperlink to text in Messages.app?
    I frequently share links via Messages and would like to have clickable text with a hyperlink beneath vs an ugly URL.

    Hi,
    In iChat and early versions of Messages this used to be CMD + K keys together
    This no longer works.
    It seems CMD + K is free as a Modifier keystroke.
    I would have  added it as an item in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts.
    The issue with that is the fact that there is also no longer an Menu item for it.  (so it does not work).
    You can add a URL and then Right Click and there is an Edit option but this only allows you to change the URL and not add a URL to existing unsent text.
    Right Clicking unlinked Text does not allow you to Edit it either (well there are some format option but not Hyperlinks)
    I can't find away around this.
    I know in the past the AIM service suffered from malicious code sent in Hyperlinks  so this might be the reason.

  • PDF hyperlinks not working on app

    I have pasted a PDF (with working links) on a folio page (folios done in PDF format). The page is uploaded but all links on the original PDF are not working once I view it on the app.
    So I'm guessing folios with pasted PDFs on them don't transfer hyperlink properties to the final app? Even thought I've made the folio in PDF format? Does this mean I have to use boxes to create hotspots over the pasted PDF? Is there a way to transfer these properties from the original PDF and skip the hotspot step?
    Thanks.

    You're right -- the placed PDF loses all its interactivity even when it becomes part of a PDF article. You'll need to add buttons over the PDF as you describe. Also, keep in mind that the Show/Hide Buttons action isn't supported in DPS, so you'll need to use a combination of buttons and MSOs to create hotspots, as described in this article:
