Hyperlink to Attached "Folder"

In my PDF, I would like to hyperlink the user to a folder of files (instead of a single file). Is this possible? I have looked into the "Attach File" option in the PDF, but it seems to only allow attaching files as single objects.

Acrobat 9 (PDF 1.7-ADBE-3) supports attaching an entire folder of files and you can have a link point to that embedded folder.
If you wish to link to an external folder, use a file:/// URI.

    Dear Seniors
Attachment folder needs to be shared with full rights with all SAP users . Now this opens up issue of viruses to reach the SBO server. How do you ensure that server keeps itself safe from viruses that may come from users who are uploading attachments?

    Hi,
You can use antivirus like Kaspersky, Mc Afee, etc either in your SBO user PC and server.
Don't allow user to insert the flashdisk into their user PCs.
Make sure your network is also protected by antivirus.

  • Display image from the attachment folder

    Hello,
At the moment I am working on an embedded component for the marketing lead TI.
The purpose of the component is to show a image stored in the attachment folder.
In order to realize my plan I used a image control in the UI designer and bound it to the BinaryObject of the document from the attachment folder.
However, the stored image won't be shown in the image control.
Do you have any suggestions to solve my problem?
    Thank you in advance

  • Attachment folder in CUP

    Hello everyone!!
We are trying to use the attachment folder in CUP, so that the requestor can upload attachments. We have the next network folder for this:
    repositorio-seggrcShared DocumentsGRC
When we configure this in CUP, it won't let us, we get an error message: "Asegúrese de que la carpeta existe y que sea susceptible de escritura" (Make sure that the folder exists and is capable of writing). Of course the folder exists, but I'm not very sure what permissions does CUP need in order to be able to write in it?

  • How to send an attached folder without compressing?

When using Mail 2.1.3 on 10.4.11 and sending more than one photo, I like to put them in a folder, so they get better organized. However, the application Mail will zip this folder on sending. Sometimes my recipients (on PC) have then difficulties opening this zipped folder. I don't want to tell them "you should install this and that application for unzipping".
In settings of Mail I find no checkbox for this- it does it by itself...
Is there any way to send an attached folder without compressing it, just plain?

    Frederick,
    thank you for the reply.
Maybe I did not explain clearly enough. Let's say I have ten JPEGs. I make a new folder in Finder, call it "Pictures" or so, put the JPEGs in it and then, after writing the mail, I click "attach" and select the newly generated folder so that it will be attached. In the outgoing window of the mail I see it then as the "Pictures" folder. The recipient then gets the mail with an attachment called "pictures.zip" that calls for an unzip application in order to take a look at those JPEGs.
Now the problem is, Mail app will automatically make a zip out of it. Yes, I have "Send PC-compatible" turned on. I use, b.t.w. plain text, not formatted. Some recipients have no problems with the zip, I know, but some do have.
I want Mail to send the folder without zipping it. Making it a little bit smaller in size is (indeed only a little bit!), in many cases, not necessary and, like I wrote, often only confusing (especially when the recipient PC asks "...this is a programme, do you want it to open?- Of course, most reasonable users are afraid of those messages!).
The point is, my application is doing something that I don't want and I find no way to tell it "please, no".

  • SSRS-Hyperlink to a folder Error messages

    Hi All,
I developed a report with hyperlink on a textbox. When user clicks to this hyperlink it should go to a network
folder. I'm able to achieve this functionality using Javascript windows.open functionality. My requirement is need to replace the customary error message(like Path or Internet address is not correct) which we get when the folder is not found to some userfriendly
error messages like 'Folder not found'.
    Thanks in Adavance!
    Regards,
    Balaji

    Hi Balaji,
If I understand correctly, you want to customize network folder path incorrect message. In Reporting Services, this feature of having custom error page doesn’t exist since SSRS 2008 (because it's
no more depends on IIS but directly connects to HTTP.sys). So we can’t customize the error message. For more detail, please refer to the similar thread below which is solved by Microsoft:

  • Attach Folder Action Won't

When I right-click on a folder and choose "Attach a Folder Action..." from the contextual menu that appears, nothing happens. The only way to pull this off is to go into Folder Actions Setup app and add a folder (via the "+" button) and a script.
Any suggestions on what I may be missing?
    Quad G5 (4x2.5G), 7800GT, 4.5GBram, BT&Airport   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. The problem I am experiencing is that, when I right-click on a folder and see the contextual menu that pops up, then choose either the "Configure Folder Actions..." item OR the "Attach a Folder Action..." item, nothing happens. The menu goes away, yes, but that's it. Am I not supposed to get a window allowing me to set the folder actions for the folder I right-clicked on?
If I run the "Folder Actions Setup" application, I can choose the folder I want to add an action to by clicking on the "+" button and navigating to the target folder, choosing it, then choosing the action I want (in the Folder Actions Setup window).
So, I CAN add an action to a folder and have it function properly. It's just that the contextual menu method ("Attach a Folder Action") seems to be broken.

  • Automatically Attach Folder Action

Is there a way to tell the OS to attach a folder action when the folder is created?
I do not want to see the window sidebar, never, and I do not want to hide it each time I create a new folder. A very simple folder action does the job, but then it must be attached to the folder... and I would want to see this action automatically attached. The folder action could be as simple as that:
    on opening folder this_folder
    tell application "Finder"
set the sidebar width of the window of this_folder to 0
    end tell
    end opening folder
BTW, I didn't find any global variable that I could modify to do this in a simpler fashion.
Not being an AppleScript expert and by far, I am kind of stuck...
    G5 1.8Dual, 2GB RAM   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   20" App Dsplay, ext. Lacie, iPod, Bach on Al-Lansing, Canon 5D, Canon L glass

    ... and it works!!!
I will give you a "Solved on this", Budgie! This AppleScript language is pretty amazing when you know how to use it.
I had to make some modifs, because it stopped working when the action was already attached to some folders, and this caused major problems. I will also have to work on it to optimize it, i.e. for example attach the action when a folder is opened (if it's not already attached) in order to save time, because in its present state, the script attaches the action to each folder in the target window.. But the main difficulty was to attach an action automatically!
So now both scripts are in my own User library and look like this:
Script to attach action, most of it your code :-)
on adding folder items to this_folder
    try
    tell application "Finder"
set _Script to "LaBomba:Users:rgauthier:Library:Scripts:Folder Action Scripts:nosidebar.scpt"
repeat with each_folder in (get every folder of this_folder)
    tell application "System Events"
    try
attach action to (each_folder as alias) using (_Script as alias)
    end try
    end tell
    end repeat
    end tell
    end try
    end adding folder items to
... and my own very simple folder action:
    on opening folder this_folder
    tell application "Finder"
set the sidebar width of the window of this_folder to 0
    end tell
    end opening folder
I will come back to you in a day or two (or three, time is whort...) with my final code.
Thanks once again for a fast and precise answer!

  • Move mail attachment to specified folder - problem

    Hi,
I am busy making a script that downloads the mail attachments to a specified folder so that Hazel can work further on the files.
Here is what i am trying to achive:
Only Jpg, Tiff, Doc, Docx, mp3's and PDF's are moved to a folder called: Mail Attachments in the downloads folder and renamed with a prefix to the the date email was send. For Hazel to work correctly i also want to add the senders headers to the spotlight comment.
So far all went well and i got a script working that does all these things.
Only problem that is occuring now that images are duplicate twice in the folder:
first file as i want: i.e. 20130711_RTP_1846.jpg and the second file is only named 2013 with no extension aswell.
This happens only with the images, not with for example an PDF.
Here is my script, by the way this is my first script and i copied, paste things i found online tweaking it to my wishes.

What strange is, that if i take out the part where the comment is filled with the header info, the script works fine producing only 1 file, but when i added this part of the script, i have the two files!
Script is activated by a mail rule when mail has an attachment.
Here a screenshot with the two images:
Hope someone can help me, to tell me what i did wrong.
    Grt,
    Rob

The problem is subtle, but noticable in your screenshot (that was a stroke of genius).
Look closely at your screenshot. Note the file details below the image and you'll see the Name label:
    "2013
    07
    11_130711RTP_1846.jpg"
Do you see the issue? It's not that the file is called '2013', it's called the entire expected file name, but with returns between the date elements. The problem is that return characters don't show in list view.
So why are the returns there?
That's because in the section of code where you build the comments you include the line:
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to return
Then you build the file name:
set originalName to timeStamp & "_" & name oftheAttachment
Now the file name is technically a list of components (think of it as {originalName, timeStamp, "_", 130711RTP_1846.jpg} )
When this list is coerced back to a text object, AppleScript inserts the current text item delimiters between each element, which results in your multi-line filename.
The solution is actually a best practice when dealing with text item delimiters - always, always, always reset them when you're done.
In this case you only want to have returns in the comment, so you should restore the TIDs after you've built the comment:
set tid to AppleScript's text item delimiters
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to return
set _Comment to (_links as rich text)
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to tid
Now the TIDs will be set back to the default and you won't have the extraneous returns in the file name.

  • How to Change Outlook Default Folder for Insert-Attachment and Save Email/Attachemnt while Outlook is open (VBA)

    Hello,
    Office 2010 32bit, VBA
Is it possible to programmatically do the above while Outlook is running?  If so, I'm hoping to make that change from a Word macro.
I tried tinkering with the reg key and that doesn't work because it appears Outlook only respects it at startup time. Similary changing Word File-options-location of documents is respected only when Outlook starts.
I'm looking to seamlessly keep Outlook's default folder in sync with Word's default folder as the users change working folders in Word, which they do many times per day (and they chose the folder among a couple of thousand possibilities).
I'm hoping there is a difficult-to-find Outlook object I can manipuate to get to the end result.  IF there is such an Object I have been unable to find it.
    Many thanks!
    Julie

    Hi Julie,
Based on my research, I think outlook object model doesn’t provide the way to change the default folder for insert attachment and save email/attachment.
The way to change it is that we need to modify the registry setting and the outlook app should be restart.

  • Opening an attachment from outside the tomcat context

I am creating a simple mail software. In my incoming message screen i'm showing all the Attachments as hyperlinks. I want that when the user clicks the hyperlink the Attachment should open in a new browser window.
My problem is that the attachments are there in a folder outside the tomcat context i.e. in a folder outside the tomcat's folder on the server's c:/Attachments folder.
If I put the attachments in the root folder of my application under webapps folder it is working properly. But I want to open it from the outside folder c:/Attachments, and also I can't hardcode this path in my code. It can be any path outside tomcat.
Please help me, if u have any solution.

Why don’t you create a hyperlink column to store the hyperlink value, or you can use a lookup column to lookup the related folder item?

When I send an email with my icloud account it is delayed if it contains a hyperlink or attachement.

    Hello Brian Delaney,
It sounds like you are trying to send emails but for some reason, thousands show activity. I would start by re indexing the mailbox to help troubleshoot the issue:
    1.Quit Mail if it’s open.
2.In ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData, delete any file that begins with “Envelope Index,” such as Envelope Index or Envelope Index-shm.To show your home Library folder, hold down the Option key, then in the Finder choose Go > Library.
3.Open Mail.Mail creates new Envelope Index files. This process may take a few minutes, depending on how many messages Mail is reindexing.

Removing an Exchange or IMAP account doesn’t permanently delete the account’s mailboxes and messages because they’re stored on the mail server. To retrieve the account’s mailboxes and messages from the server, add the account again in Mail.
