Hyperlink to internal html-file

Hello
I want to set a link to a web-site wich is not on the www but on my hard-disk.
Is this not possible ?
Anybody with experiences ?
When I open the html-file with Safari, and then copy the adress to the Keynote field, Keynote change the adress into an apple adresse.
For a secure presentation I never would take files over internet.
Of course I put these sites on my HD.
Now, theres a small Java-Applet wich I need to show during the presentation, but I still couldn't figure out how to do. Stopping the Keynote-presentation and restart again, that's not a nice way.
Thanks very much for help.

Hello Kyn
Thank you for help.
It's Keynote 2.02.
But I found the solution.
In Systemprefs / Sharing I startet Web sharing.
Then I renamed the html into index.html and placed it into the folder websites.
Now the internal Webserver is serving the site.
great.
Thanks.

  • Multipule HTML files to covert to PDF - without hyperlinks

    I have over 400 HTML files that I need to convert to PDF - I do not want the PDF to contain any of the the hyperlinks from the original HTML file.  How can I "turn off" the hyperlinks.
    I can print to PDF - 400 files - is going to take forever.
    any suggestions?
    Thanks

    If you have a Professional version of Acrobat, you could create a batch process to delete all the links.
    From the JavaScript API Reference:
    Example
    Remove all links from the document.
    // Remove all links from the document
    for ( var p = 0; p < this.numPages; p++)
    var b = this.getPageBox("Crop", p);
    this.removeLinks(p, b);
    Use
    getLinks to help count the number of links removed
    ExampleCount the number of links in a document and report to the console.
    var numLinks=0;
    for ( var p = 0; p < this.numPages; p++)
    var b = this.getPageBox("Crop", p);
    var l = this.getLinks(p, b);
    console.println("Number of Links on page " + p +" is " + l.length);
    numLinks += l.length;
    console.println("Number of Links in Document is " + numLinks);

  • Hyperlink to html file

    I'm trying to link a screenshot on a slide to an html file (not a website), that would then open in a browser.
    The html is in a folder with other links, like flash files etc.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I've turned on web sharing, and am linking to the address listed under "Your personal website:"
    so the complete link in Keynote looks like the -- http://10.0.1.199/~username/Sites/index.html
    However, when I click on the link in keynote (or just enter it into Safari), I get a "403 Forbidden" error message that says:
    Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /~username/Sites/index.html on this server.
    When I open the index.html file directly in finder, it opens as expected.
    Any thoughts??
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Is a Windows registry error responsible for Firefox opening two browser windows whenever I use a hyperlink from a Word file?

    Whenever I use a hyperlink from an MS Word document, Firefox opens two windows instead of one. The first window is the one I need. The second contains a message that the page could not be found and the address bar contains the URL appended with "Firefoxhtml/shell/open/command".
    This problem is similar but NOT identical to one in MozillaZine headed "Windows error opening internet shortcut or local HTML file - Firefox". But none of the solutions in that article work for my problem: I've disabled all extensions but that hasn't helped. I've tried editing file types so that the DDE is removed (I'm not a teccie so have no idea what that means), but after following the instructions to the letter it doesn't seem to remove the DDE. Also I read that removing the DDE is not a good idea for people like me who need to open numerous firefox browser windows at one time. Furthermore, the MozzilaZine article refers only to problems opening a URL link in a MS Outlook email when Firefox is NOT running. My problem concerns the opening of URL links in MS Word when Firefox IS running!
    I've run countless different virus programmes, rootkit checkers etc but they all come up blank. However, I did come across guidance on this website: http://antivirus.about.com/od/windowsbasics/a/shellopen.htm which suggests that something may have altered the shell open command for two registry keys used by Firefox.
    # HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htafile\shell\open\command
    # HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htfile\shell\open\command
    The default value for each of these should be "%1" %*. But on my user, the default value reads:
    (for htafile) c:\windows\system32\mshta.exe "%1"%*
    (for htfile) c:\programfiles\windowsNT\hypertrm.exe"%1
    What should the value be for these two files?
    Can anyone sort this for me please? Bear in mind I'm not a teccie!

  • Can No Longer Open html files

    I Fireworks 8, I was able to save a web page as a complete
    document to the local drive and then open it with Fireworks to work
    with it. With CS3 all I get is a totally white canvas. I have
    checked that my preferences are all set the same, and they are. I
    use this feature all the time for a variety of functions, i.e.,
    combining slices to make one gif, etc. Am I missing something - or
    is that function no longer there?
    It shows it can open Html files, but it will not even open
    it's own exported html files. Get "internal error." The file is
    fine ( and it just created it.)

    No, it is not a bug at all. It is all about how you do this
    and understand the primary functionality of Fw itself, and how it
    do for you. If you don't fully understand how it works, then you
    have problem trying to understand how it works and what's not.
    Then, perhaps that you clearly do not understand the
    functionality of Fw CS3, and how it relates to exported HTML files
    created by Fw CS3.
    It is very common, wide misunderstanding among other,
    especially with newbies using Fw app, and they thought that if Fw
    could create HTML code. Actually, it was created by side of
    pre-scripted coding inside the app itself, and that it does the
    rest for you.
    As for working with sliced images around Fw CS3, as any
    legacy versions of Fw, the concept of sliced images is often up for
    the air and debates. Everyone have different opinion about sliced
    images, and what not and what's cool.
    I personally dislike sliced images. If having lots of sliced
    images, means slower downloading time and more codes involved.
    I get the feeling that you really not understand how Fw
    works, and how it relates to your question about HTML code in Fw.
    Please try to understand that FW itself CANNOT edit HTML. It only
    just exports html code for you. However, it is important to note,
    it is NOT perfect html code.
    It is best IF you work with pre-scripted HTML code in
    Dreamweaver, or any web authoring app to work with HTML directly.
    If you are not taking my advice, so be it. I am out of this
    discussion. End of discussion!
    And good luck!

    The reasons for opening an html file in Fireworks have
    nothing to do with Dreamweaver or coding, just images and image
    manipulation. If open html is an option, as it is, it should open
    the file. It used to open with all slices intact, and all html code
    behind it. Now it just opens a white page.
    It is a bug and problem since it does not do as it should.

  • The internal html viewer is not working in coldfusion builder 2.

    It is so frustrating how hard this is. I finished setting up coldfusion and coldfusion builder 2 with an apache local webserver and was hoping to make use of the internal html viewer but it won't come on! All I see is a blank grey page with no content. After creeping around the forums for a while it seemed that the simplest solution was to use the internal coldfusion server so I uninstalled everything and did just that, reverting my administrator page to http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm (working and launchable from the IDE), placing my webroot at C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot and with all the folders in their right place. The server is running ok and when I launch the run as "coldfusion administrator" option to run my index file, it succesfully opens the external browser and displays the page.
    I have the same setup on my desktop at home, the same files, installation, everything! and it works but not on my laptop. I followed Ben Forta's instructions to a T and yet I still am not getting the html preview. I even tried to hard code the absolute url in the html preview settings and still nothing but that annoying grey.
    Is this a bug? There doesn't seem to be anything about it in the bug reports. It is quite infuriating how something that seems so miniscule could be such an annoyance. I have already gotten quite used to the preview pages and coldfusion and I would prefer to code that way rather than making use of dreamweaver which I feel I am being forced to use, but at least it's consistent.
    Please if anyone could provide some answers and help I would really appreciate it! I have only so much hair left!
    Thanks!

    Perhaps others may recognize and resolve this for you. I and others here often can and do offer quick solutions to many problems. And I can appreciate that it’s reasonable to think that something so simple should just work. But in this case I think are simply too many variables that could explain why things are not working for you. And while I can also appreciate that you will prefer to get a solution for free if anyone can offer it, I just can’t even begin to offer all the possible problems and solutions, at least by email, in this case. Again, maybe someone else will make a quick connection.
    But I will point out that if you’re willing to pay US$75, I offer a service of remotely troubleshooting any one CFBuilder problem for that fixed price. Hopefully I might help you solve it quickly (when I can see exactly what’s going on in your environment), but you will not pay if I don’t solve the problem in up to 2 hours effort. If you may be interested, see www.carehart.org/consulting/ for more, and if you want to set up a time to get together (over the web), drop me an email at [email protected]
    Finally, please note that I don’t often point out this service here on the forums. I generally just offer suggestions (sometimes lengthy ones) without any commercial expectation, so please don’t regard this as me engaging in “abusive unsolicited commercial email”. I’m just offering a possible solution, given the OPs sincere challenge in solving things.

  • Problem in(IE 6) Opening non-html files using Servlets (Urgent)

    Hi,
    My application developed using struts 1.3 have an option to upload and download any kind of files.
    The uploaded files shall be displayed as hyperlinks in the HTML page. On click of a hyperlink, a servlet shall be called and the corresponding file shall be opened as an attachment. But i am facing problem in opening the files.
    The problem is,
    Whenever i try to open a file of type (.doc or .xls or .pdf) the browser(*IE 6*) does not identify the content type. So it opens the content in a browser as binary content. But it works perfectly in IE 7 and firefox. (I used mim.types file to fetch the content type dynamically based on the file chosen)
    However, the code i used to open a .doc file is,
    response.setContentType("application/msword");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename="+content.getFileName());
    response.setContentLength(content.getStream().size());
    ServletOutputStream out;
    out = response.getOutputStream();
    content.getStream().writeTo(out);
    out.flush();
    content - is a TO which shall hold the fileName and ByteArrayOutputStream ,etc.
    Please anyone can help me solving this issue.
    Thanks,

    thanks..
    its working fine now. i just added response.reset() before setting the properties of HTTPResponse object.

    How can macromedia flash play html files?
    I have a problem my friends! First of all I should say that I
    know flash is not a browser!!! I have lots of internal and external
    html files next to my main swf movie and I made lots of botton for
    each html files and a window next to the bottons on the left side
    of my stage now the question is: how can I tell macromedia flash by
    pressing each botton its especial html file play in the left
    window?(and not anywhere else) I tried "get url" but html files now
    are playing in a browser and not in my window!!
    Maybe I made the window in the wrong way so how can I create
    this window for html files?
    I am not a professional user of macromedia flash –
    thank you for your coaporation
    In the following path you can find an example this is where I
    installed my flash
    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8\Samples and

    Here is a link that maybe show my question better
    Its just 120 kb

  • HTML Files in Flash

    I have created a document in HTML as I need my Flash

    actually used HTML with Flash before so I am uncertain on what I

    do I have to link the HTML document to my text field in some
    way
    do I just put the code into the text field
    do i have to call it with some sort of action script????
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    What do you mean you want to implement JS onHoverOver? How
    are you using that in Flash? And what do you mean by importing an
    HTML file? Flash can understand some HTML but you can't import an
    entire file (not in AS2 anyway).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi there
    Colum may be spot on, but in case that isn't quite it, you may wish to change the file name so that instead of this:
    Media Manager Demo 3.0.0.5.zip
    It's something like this:
    Media_Manager_Demo_3_0_0_5.zip
    Note that each space now has an underscore as well as each of the dots having underscores.

  • Link to an external RoboHlp8 html file

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a link to another RH8 project.
    I have been using Insert Hyperlink\Link to\File\Locating the html file in the other project.
    When I click OK it displays This action will create an external link to the help system. The link may not function..........
    If I create a link anyway when I publish I cannot open it.
    Any ideas??
    thank you.
    Wowronin

    Hi,
    The link you're creating is relative from the path your source files are stored. Because the link is external, RoboHelp cannot update your link, so your link won't work.
    When you make an external link, you must either use a hard address, such as "http://www.adobe.com" or make a relative link, which is relative from the published location. Say that you have two projects, in project 1 you create the link ../project_2/project_2.htm. This link will take the parent directory of the topic, then the directory project_2 and open the file project_2.htm. When you create these relative links, your links will only work on the published (or test) server/directory.
    Also note that you can use a hard address for files on network drives (ie g:\123.txt), but that will require every user to have access to this drive, and every user must have the same drive letter assigned to the network drive. I suggest that you use relative paths, but it'll require some planning.

    Willam

    I am still using Visio 2003 (this is not migrated yet to Visio 2010), and I am not able anymore to generate pdf-files from Visio files with Hyperlinks!
    For excel files it works fine.
    What do we need to do? is there an extra Visio (2003) Add-In module needed for Acrobat X, or do we need to purchase another Acrobat version?
    Please Help!

    Should you submit a use/business need to have the company IT group install Acrobat Pro another reference to add to what Bernd provided is at:

    Scroll down to the information for MS Visio.
    You will observe that for Vision 2010 (which you'll most likely be migrated to) you must have the PDFMaker asociated with Acrobat Pro X (for 32-bit only - no support for 64-bit Visio).
    Be well...
