Hyperlink to webpage not working??

I am attempting to make a hyperlink (to a webpage) of an object on a slide (a circle). After clicking on the object, opening the Inspector, checking "Enable as a Hyperlink" and then beginning to type the URL in the proper place, the Inspector box immediately becomes inactive and the typing appears in the object, rather than in the Inspector. Perhaps I have overlooked a setting or a command, but I cannot make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. (Keynote '09 v.5.0.5)

I recently created a hyperlink (on numbers 09) and exported to excel. But it is not working in excel for mac ( on the same computer).
Any advise ?

An external hyperlink should handoff to Safari and leave iBooks.
If that's not happening, perhaps there is something misconfigured on your iPad? Have you manually confirmed those links work in Safari on your iPad?

Hyperlinks to bookmarks not working

When I create a hyperlink to a bookmark it works fine when I create it: as soon as the bookmark is chosen from the drop-down menu the link takes me to it. However when I subsequently click the hyperlink (with the 'make all hyperlinks inactive' box unchecked) nothing happens. Hyperlinks to webpages work fine. I'm using iBooks Author version 2.1.3 and Mavericks version 10.9.5. I've scoured the net but no-one else seems to be having this problem so I guess I must be making some elementary blunder. Any help would be much appreciated.

My thinkng is that there are many applications that can make the determination that something that starts with http:// or https:// can be made to behave as a hyperlink
I do know that I did not purposely create a hyperlink and then paste it into my note.
Also, the only time that I receive the Open URL option in the services is when I select text. E.G if i have text in my Note like jguitar.com and I select the text and then choose Notes > Services, the Open URL option appears and the link will open. If I select the word jguitar all by itself/alone, the option doesn't appear, so the application can tell if it is a possible choice for opening a URL.
Something isn't quite adding up......

Hyperlinks in Excel not working when doing the PDF Convert

I have worked on this and worked on this. Now I am at a point where I need assistance as I am stumped. I have about 20 different facilities that have financial statements that need to be published in Adobe as a PDF format and when I go through the steps to convert everything looks good, except the links are not working. We have about 62-74 pages that will be exported and due to the departments and such we need the links to work.
This is through Excel-
I select the worksheets I want to convert then after it is done I open the PDF and the links are not working. To set them up manually in Adobe is too labor intensive -- any ideas on how to get this to work?

Using either 2003 or 2010 Excel version
Click on making bookmarks and links
I can send an attachment, please beware that is it financial information that cannot be published-also the hyperlinks are setup in Excel as well.
Not sure how to upload the worksheet and would prefer to send via email if at all possible.

Hyperlink text will not work with _self, only as self and then creates window

I understand that the code below should work but it doesn't, I have to take the underline before self out, for the hyperlink to work at all, and then it creates another window for the file. There may some sort of glitch that I am not aware of. But the code below does not work as is in my app. Any further suggestions?

Hyperlinks in presentation not working once published - Presenter 7.0.7

I have a link to an intranet address that will not work once the PowerPoint presentation has been published via Presenter 7.0.7. The cursor does not change to a pointer and nothing launches when the link is clicked. I have verified the Flash Player security settings as well as ensured no formatting of the text link except for the color change that happens when the link is inserted.

Thanks for sharing the presentation.
Textbox in which your hyperlink is placed have text containing Text effects. When you publish the presentation then any text with text effect is published as an image.
So, place text with a hyperlink in a separate textbox which don't have any text effects. Segregate the content having text effect and hyperlink in 2 separate textbox.

Hyperlinks in .chm not working

I am authoring my content in Frame 7.2, and importing the Frame chapter files one at a time into RH7. The Frame files have numerous cross-references - some to headings in the same chapter, some to headings in other chapters. When I import the chapters into RH7, the cross-references within that chapter convert to hyperlinks in RH7 and work fine in the .chm file. However the cross-references to other chapters do not - they are formatted as hyperlinks in RH7 and in the .chm, but they do nothing when clicked.
I have tried importing with all Frame files open, or with only the book file open - no difference.
Any one have suggestions? Thanks!

Hi TTS_Eric and welcome to the RH community.
Inter CHM links are performed by using the Insert > Hyperlink menu item or toolbar icon. When the dialog is displayed, click the down arrow to the left of the "Link to" field and select Remote Topic. From there, navigate to the CHM file that contains the topic and from there the list of topic is displayed from where you can select the topic.
If this is what you have done, there are other possibilities that could be causing the problem. The first is that your CHM files are not on a local drive or are not in the same directory. Check this first and let us know how you get on.

Ive made a grand sight sight there using the Muse, shes got all the bells and whistles and she really is a sight for sore eyes, but Ive gone and snagged myself on a problem and this problem is driving me up the walls here, basically the hyperlink on just one page will not work, here is a link to site: www.niallobyrne.com
I made the text NIALL O BYRNE in the top left corner a rollover link that would bring viewers back to homepage. You know, its good to have something to bring them back like. It works grand on preview mode and it works great on preview site in browser however when i published the site through my server today and put it online this link wont work. Absolutely driving me wild, ive been through everything over n over and its getting late in the day and I should be out enjoying a few pints in Dublins fair city. Im getting cabin fever in the office and its probably the hottest day we've ever seen here so any help asap is much appreciated.
when i was doing the nav/menu I did delete the [home] button from the list that muse automatically builds for you. So I am hazarding a guess that this may have something to do with it. ??? or am I looking for the prob in the wrong field. Jaysus though if anyone knows will you let us know before I spontaneously combust under by own frustration. My lips are hanging off me here for a sip of the pure drop so give us an auld dig out, "The Man" says I cant leave until I have it fixed and I might aswell be asking the office furniture than any of the clowns left in this place. And its rapidly approaching 5 oclock !!

If you go to site then go to the "work" category and try click on the NIALL O BYRNE link back to home page it just isnt working. Ive now noticed that I cannot get it to work in The Muse preview either, maybe something is wrong with site structure or related to my previous idea surrounding the menu/nav.
Any suggestions would be great

Lync 2013 (Oct CU update) Dial-in Webpage not working. This content cannot be displayed in a frame

today we found an issue with our Lync 2013 deployment while investigating another issue.
ok se we have/had Lync 2013 setup along with IIS ARR. All seems to be working fine.
with the exception of our Dial in page.
no matter what i do it does not work. We have a near identical setup for our other domain & they have no issues. (i copied the Bin folder from the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Web Components\Dialin Page\Ext" of the working site.
then tracked it down to the "\bin\" folder. which contains the "Micrsoft.RTC.nternal.Conference,dll"
file. If i copy this into our US folder the site works as it should.
So now the kicker....our US file is the newest (5.0.8308.556) where as the other domain is "5.0.8308.301"
with that said, & with our correct version (.556) of the conference.dll file, this is the page that loads...which we can then click the link & it opens our conference page as it should.

yes, IE will shows the warning page, but then lets you click the link.
chrome shows noting. When running Debugger, chrome states:
Refused to display 'https://fepool.company.local/Dialin/Conference.aspx' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'..
the issue is definatley stemming from the new .dll from the CU update. as i compared it against the older version. the newer version is throwing the "X-Frame-options:
SAMEORIGIN"....
I am not sure if that is intended or not.
also i have not been able to find out what the specific purpose of the conferenceproxy.aspx file that the dialin page
uses as its default document. It appears that the page only stands to serve up the Conference.aspx page in the Iframe..
if we swap our default page to be the Conference.aspx all works as expected.

Why hyperlink color change not working with Safari?

With several sites I visit when I click on their text link lists I see a colored symbol change to let remind me I visited that site. Unfortunately this only works when I use Firefox or IE, not Safari. Is there a reason this does not work with Safari? Is there anything I can do? thanks.

YouTube content requires Flash.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video. If you still have problems, try troubleshooting Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Synology webpage not working correctly when using Video surveillance

Hi all,
I have a issue, that is not happening with my windows virtual installed on my mac osx..
When i open this page with safari, or chrome, i have different problems, and the most likley is the one on my screenshot..
The webpage is hanging after clicking on a camera, or watching a live video that is have recorded earlier this day..
The only solution is to restore this webpage, bij refreshing it.
I did install the plugin from Synology, the problem is only in OSX 10.10.1 not in Windows 7 with IE, there its working perfectly
On this screen its hanging, and its in dutch, translated to english Busy with loading....

If the issue is only with the Snynology website then my guess would be to reach out to Synology, ask if they have similar issues with the browsers you use (and versions) and Yosemite

Webpage not working everywhere

My published webpage works on my Mac and my PC. It works on Safari, and on Firefox. It looks strange and too light on Internet explorer, and some people have told me that it is so light on their computers that they cannot see much at all; neither can they find some of the links.
Is there a way to clean this up, so it works on all? If so, how?

And, if they're not waiting for the entire page to load, that background is going to take on the really light gray that would essentially make the white text very hard to read.

'Hyperlinks only' setting not working on iPad

I have Keynote set for 'Hyperlinks only' for slide page changes in the Inspector/Document. However, when I use the presentation on my new iPad, it goes back to 'normal' in that touching anywhere on the screen (away from a hyperlink) advances to the next slide. Need to HURRIEDLY fix for convention.

Hyperlinks In Word Not Working

This morning previously successful hyperlinks (linking to Internet from Word document) suddenly stopped working. Instead of opening the link, I get the message "Unable to open Http:// the address I had inserted. Cannot locate the Internet server or proxy server."
I cut/pasted part of the script and emailed it to myself and was able to open it from my Mail application - but not Word
Anybody have any idea of what is going on? I had been able to successfully use the links in the document until this morning.
