Hyperlink URL Changes For No Apparent Reason

Question

When I add a hyperlink to a mail (2.1) I highlight the text I want and Edit/Add Hyperlink. I paste the URL
http://ostyn-newman.com/Beykirch%20Home%20Page%20of%20Paintings.html
When I send the message, and click the hyperlink, I am directed to the URL
http://ostyn-newman.com/Beykirch%2520Home%2520Page%2520of%2520Paintings.html
Obviously the new URL does not work. The one I put in is correct, but for some reason Mail decides to change it. How can I work around this issue. What should I put into the hyperlink box when prompted to make it put the correct address through to the sender?

Hi,
It is not recommended to have spaces in URLs, so renaming your pages would actually be advisable in the long run.
Fortunately, most web browsers and operating systems will work around the problem using a process called "escaping". Any dis-allowed characters are changed to the % notation that you are seeing.
Due to a slight bug in Mail, it doesn't like when you provide an already-escaped URL. You can work around this by providing a non-escaped URL. When it prompts you for the URL, give it a URL with actual spaces instead of the %20's. The link will work fine, and you will see that Safari will fix the spaces once it reaches the address bar.
