I assume that it is not working because the tab widget is truly just on one page and anchors work within a page but not a specific tab. Is there a way around that?

an interesting question. Anchors work across pages (global) without any problem. Do they work within tabs or any other widgets I haven't tried, but it looks like you have and without success. I can see the temptation for doing this, but if you think about it why would you? Set the anchor on the page next to the tab(s) and hey presto the user needs only click the tab to which the hperlink refers, nothing could be more convenient! Of course, if the user cannot relate the tab to the hyperlink there's a problem. Generally solved by titling (like if the hyperlink is cats, the tab should preferably read cats and not dogs)! It's the only work around i can think of. Hope it helps.

Hyperlink to a location within a page

I'm trying to create a way to hyperlink to an image WITHIN a long page. Is there any way to make a link that "jumps" to a given location within a page, instead of to the top of the page?

Inserted a Hyperlink to another page, and would like a tooltip on it. Infopath

Hi,
I have created a hyperlink within InfoPath to take the user to a different page in order to add some items that arent included in a drop down.
At the moment I have had to explain what they need to do as part of the Hyperlink, I would have liked to have a Tooltip on the Hyperlink, so least amount of text is displayed on the page, and then they can just hover over the link to find out what they need
to do.
Does anyone know how I can get a tooltip on the hyperlink, or of any other ways I could try and do this which is more user friendly, rather than having all the text written on the page.

Tooltip Widget in the jQuery UI which
will provide a customizable, themeable tooltips instead of the JavaScript native tooltips.

Adding sharing options from within a page

We would like to add sharing options like "Tweet it" or "Email it" from within a page and not dependant on the viewer
is this doable ?
If not, can we have a button inside the page which triggers the viewer's sharing option ?

You'll have to code it as a hyperlink yourself that navigates out of DPS to the browser to do the share. I believe National Geographic does this on some pages with a Twitter and FB icon. There's no way to trigger the share menu via a button on the page.

Does anyone know how to create internal hyperlinks within Apple Mail?

I think you would probably have to create an HTML page with anchors and then "share" that via e-mail. While HTML does support this, and Apple Mail supports HTML e-mail, such a thing was never intended. Modern e-mail is big hack-job. It is unlikely that such an e-mail message would really work in practice the way you expect.

Hyperlinks within css

hello all. i am stumped as to how to create a hyperlink within a css object. basically have a box, within that box is text, i would like the entire box to be able to hyperlink not just the text. i can see in the page properties at the bottom of the page in html view you can link the text, but i want the enire box to be the hyperlink.
i messed around with the hyperlink chain link in the top menu bar, but when i choose the page i want to link to it puts text below my box, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CS6-DW ? about active hyperlinks within my video

I was wondering if you any of you have conquered this problem?
"Flash supports hyperlinks inside video. Yet, IOS does not support Flash" (mobile devices) For the most part, old Droids do.
In Apple's infinite wisdom, SJ decided not to support flash. So going the way of the Dodo Bird, I am trying to keep current while using what I think is a slick option.Embedding links inside video.
Youtube allows it with their files (For this reason I believe it can be done in an mp4) Yet Youtube only allows for links within their site,
Anyone? I am using CS6 Master suite. Not CC. So it is a whopping 1 year old software.

I think you are not getting my point, or question. You are referring to embedding the video, whereas I am referring to embedding a link inside a video. You know a hyperlink within a video?
What I had thought Youtube may have been a solution, was not. Youtube'e Annotation tool merely rewraps a video in a SWF or FLV wrapper to then add a hyperlink to your video. (Same as Flash)
Challenge: Iphone (as mentioned above) does not support it.
Work around, TIme machine. 1988 circa Animated Gifs and written code to trigger the pictures to however many FPS desired

When you follow a hyperlink in Excel, usually it should open in your default browser. You shouldn't have to do anything special in Excel to create the link when Firefox is your default browser compared with IE. However, the Insert Hyperlink dialog might work differently. I think it might be able to automatically pre-populate a URL from IE, while in Firefox, you need to copy the URL from Firefox's address bar and paste it into the Insert Link dialog.

Using a different default component state within each page state

I am using a custom component in multiple page states but would like to have a different default state (for the same custom component) within each page state.
Is there anyway to use a different default component state within each page state .
When I change the default state at a component level it seems to go across all my page states. Any solutions?

I have lost my ability to scroll within a page...

Before Mavericks, I could take my cursor with either my TrackPad or Magic Mouse and move the contents of a page up/dn with finger movement within the page on my 27" iMac. Today - I have to go to the edge of the page and manually move the slider .. which is like I did with my Classic II. I checked all the prefs in the system and browsers to no avail.
I just checked my older iMac in the other room running 10.7 ..the Magic Mouse there works just fine within the pages, as does my laptop's trackpad. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hyperlink to a Page in the current document ? LiveCycle v8.2

Can anyone help me with the syntax to hyperlink to a page in the current PDF ?
I have not been able to locate any information on this !
This is a fill able XFA form & am attempting a Table of Content TextBox on the Main page with links to different parts of the form.

What I am looking for is something similar to the hyperlink options in Adobe Pro where you can specify a page # to go to.
Unfortunately, LiveCycle only has the option for a URL or an email. And For the URL, it generates an <a href="the URL"> syntax.
Is there a way to get it to generate a <a id=Page3> javascript ?
Or maybe force the <a href=""> to use an Id in the existing document ?

Create hyperlink to "next page"

Is there a way to create a hyperlink on a master document that automatically goes to the next page in the document?
I can't find that option anywhere, which seems very strange. If I have a document of 50 pages, it is incredibly tedious to have to add a hyperlink to each page with the next page's page number on it, rather than just having a hyperlink in the master document which automatically goes to the next page.

The hyperlink option won't let you do this, but you can use the button feature instead: add an invisible button over your text frame and add the action "Go to Next Page" to that button.

Hyperlinks within .PDF document won't open in browser.

So what I want to happen is when I click a hyperlink within a .PDF file which is opened via Adobe Reader XI, I want a new tab/browser (the link) to be opened with/in Chrome.
Currently when I hover my mouse over a link, it turns into a clicky hand thing with a tiny letter 'w' and the address floats above in a box. When I try to shift/normal/ctrl click the link, nothing happens.

Yes. If I open this .pdf file in chrome and click the link, a new tab will open with the link.
Also, I just found something else out. When I open the settings in Adobe Reader and try clicking on the 'help' links such as 'What is protected view' under 'security', I get a message saying "Online help content cannot be displayed. Verify you can launch your web browser and have access to the Internet".

I created a word document with hyperlinks. When my default browser is Chrome the hyper links work. When the default browser is Safari, the hyperlinks bring to pages that just lines and lines of symbols. I need these links to work in both browsers.
