Hyperlinks Don't Work in Preview/Publish Mode - Correct in Design View

I am having trouble with hyperlinks. I've deleted existing hyperlinks, then copied and pasted addresses back in but it is still not working. Any idea why this is happening.
www.ronbrendle.com/reviews.html
To the right of each album the links for amazon, itunes and cdbaby do not work. They DO work for the Bunky Moon album but I cannot discern any difference.  In Muse design view, the hyperlink addresses are correct when I select the amazon, itunes or cdbaby element.
Also - when I copy a page URL from this site - it pastes the title tag. For example:
www.ronbrendle.com/reviews.html becomes "Brendle is a monster bassist." JazzTimes
Please help if you can.
Thank you,
Deanna

I found this bit of information here ( http://www.cs.wright.edu/~jslater/mac-tex/mac-tex-intro/mactexintro.html):
Adobe Reader (I wouldn’t)
Adobe Acrobat (Not this either)
Preview (Maybe better)
Skim (Awesome, my pick)
TEXShop - Works well as a viewer-only with extra tools
iTEXMac - Also works well as a viewer-only with extra tools
OzTEX (if not using PDFLaTEX)
CMacTEX(if not using PDFLaTEX)
MacDVIX (if not using PDFLaTEX)
If PDFTEX is used, any PDF(R) viewer can be used, but hyperlinks don’t work in viewers using Apple’s(R) PDF code (e.g. Preview, iTEXMac, TEXShop, Skim...), so you may want to have Adobe Reader(R) or Acrobat installed to test your hyperlinks.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in Preview

I created a PDF file from a PowerPoint presentation using Mac OS X. My PDF file has hyperlinks in it that work fine when viewed in Acrobat Reader. But I'm unable to get any of the hyperlinks to work when viewing the file with the built in program "Preview" that is part of the Mac OS X operating system.
There are plenty of PDF files on the Internet with hyperlinks that work in both Apple Preview and Acrobat Reader. But the PDF files I create using Mac OS X, don't seem to function properly in Preview.
    Any suggestions?

  • Hyperlinks don't work, please help!! :(

    Hi all,
I've created a new website and I would just like to know why my hyperlinks don't work? The facebook link used to, but ever since I posted the text under the menu icons in the middle of the site and then publish it won't activate any of them! This is really frustrating so I'm really hoping someone has an easy solution to this...
    My URL is www.nurburgringnow.co.uk
    Thanks,
    Will

It looks to me as though you have made your navigation menu using images places without a shape?
If so, what he is saying is that this shape has got into your footer and is covering everything else and the whole page, which is why your links will not work. If your links are covered by anything, then they won't work.
In iWeb select show all so you can see where things are on your site. Shorten your footer area and I would suggest that you remove the shape and then place it in the body of your site. To get your links to work you need to ensure that you send the shape to the back.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in keynote 3

My hyperlinks don't work in Keynote 3, even not after re-installing the programme several times. Are there more people who have this priblem, it could be a bug.

Check that the presentation is set to normal in:    Inspector > Document > Document > Presentation Type > Normal
The inspector is the side panel on the right hand side.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in fillable pdf forms

I have a question for you folks and am hoping you can help me.  I am using Adobe Acrobat X Professional.  I want to create "fillable" pdf forms which include hyperlinks.  When I create a pdf form and "Save as" a "Reader extended PDF" and "Enable additional features" the hyperlinks don't work.  I save the document this way in order to produce a fill-in pdf document.  However, if I save the document as a regular pdf (i.e., not reader extended/non-fillable pdf form) then the hyperlinks work.  Any ideas how I can get the hyperlinks to work in a fillable pdf form?  Thanks!
    Chris Quarto

    Hi Michael:
I'm sorry...I wish I knew what "autorecognized links" were.  :  (  As I mentioned in my reply to David, I created the hyperlinks in Microsoft Word before I converted the Word document to a pdf.
I have resolved the problem and posted my step-by-step solution a few days ago, but for some reason I don't see it in this forum.  It kind of goes like this...to get hyperlinks to work with fillable pdf's:
    1. Create Microsoft Word document and save when done.
    2. While in Word, click on "Acrobat" on menu bar (assuming you have installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro on your computer) and "Create pdf;" confirm that hyperlinks work and close document.
    3. Open pdf document with Acrobat Pro and selected "Create pdf form."
    4. Edit the "fillable" parts of the document (e.g., make all fields/text boxes 10 pt. font size...I wish there was a way of setting the default so you wouldn't have to manually do this for each field/box, but haven't figured out how to do that one yet).
    5. Close form editing.
    6. Select File --> Save as --> Reader extended pdf --> Enable additional features.
    7. Save file
    8. Close file and re-open to verify that hyperlinks and fields work/are fillable.
That's my solution.  There's probably an easier way to do this, but it works.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Saved Pages document as PDF. Now hyperlinks don't work

After saving my newsletter in Pages 09 as a PDF (Print>Compress as PDF) some embedded hyperlinks don't work. Strangely enough, the links to an e-mail DO work, but links to a URL DO NOT. Why is this and what do I do to overcome this problem?

That's a fairly long thread I linked to. Did you get all the way down to this post with a screenshot? I see that others had the same problem you do & it took them a couple of tries to get it working. I would be nice to be able to see what you're doing (or not doing), but we have to make do with words & screenshots.

  • Hyperlink don't work with "download a document"

I use iWeb 2006. My web site <www.xicro.it> have a link with a document to download. This kind of hyperlink don't work on line, but it work when you check the site in local host.
Do you have any answer or any other experiences concerning this problem?
    Thank

    Hi,
You can put the file which you want people to be able to download in a zip. Then put a link on your website to that zip file (normal link) and as soon as you click on the link the zip will download.
In your case that would be xoomer.alice.it/xicro/F537BB88-A61B-11DB-9BB2-000393D45032/xxxxxxxxx.zip
Tanti saluti, benvenuto nel forum di 'Apple support' e spero che funzioni,
    Cédric

  • Hyperlinks aren't working after I publish - any suggestions?! Captivate 5

    Hey everyone,
I've just created a project here and used a click box to link the learner to a hyperlink (external website http://.....).  I've tested this out in the "preview" mode and the hyperlink works.  Next, I published the project and now the hyperlink doesn't work.  I click on the area and nothing happens...not even an empty browser window will appear.  Has anyone else run into this issue?!?!
Any assistance in this would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    Hi folks
Actually, this (among other common issues) is discussed in a page that we hoped users would find prior to having to ask for help.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in swf

Why don't my hyperlinks work when i produce a swf doc?

It´s not very good idea to deliver InDesign SWF with email. Specially if you have video or audio used in your document. InDesign does not embed those assets to SWF. Instead of it, it creates a folder named Resources and places all media assets there. You suppose to publish that folder along with your SWF.
If you want to deliver your SWF with email, you should provide that Resources folder as attachment and it´s not good idea. It may be relatively large and there´s no proof that receiver will save all necessery attachments before opening SWF. And hyperlinks are not working if you open SWF from your local hard drive. It has to be saved in server.... That´s Flash Player security setting and there´s not much we can do about it...
You should transfer all the necessery files into some public server and provide a link to your files. You can do that with FTP-client software. You will find many free FTP-clients from internet.

  • My hyperlinks don´t work

    Hi !
I´m a new iWeb user. I´ve created a website that works well in iWeb when hyperlinks are active, but when I publish it into a folder the lynks to my other pages in the menu bar don´t work. They worked well before I made some additions to the site (nothing special), but now the names of the pages in the menu bar of the home page don´t scroll. The link to an exteral page does work. I don´t want to publish it until I´m sure it will work properly.
    Thank´s

Do a command A to select all and see if a text box or photo is overlapping the navigation and "covering" it.

  • Microsoft Access report to pdf-hyperlinks don't work

    Hi,
Does anyone have a solution to hyperlinks not working when a Microsoft Access report is converted to a pdf?  The hyperlinks work when I am in the Access report, but once I convert to a pdf (Acrobat 9), the links don' t work.
    Thanks,
    Jamie

How did you convert? In looking at the PDF Maker options for AA8 in ACCESS 2007, there does not seem to be a link button in the preferences. That may the issue and I do not have a solution for that.

  • Hyperlinks don't work with Reader 9 with PDF/a

Reader 8 and below in PDF/a mode with hyperlinks works just fine.. Upgrade to 9 and say good by to working hyperlinks! I would disable PDF/a mode but then Excel will not embed some of my type 1 fonts... Word gives the option to convert to bitmap if it can't embed... Why did Adobe change Reader v 9 to disable hyperlinks in PDF/a documents!!! they should have left it alone.. help anyone?

    Hello!
If Hyperlinks are not allowed at all in PDF/A then i wonder why Hyperlinks of "HTTP://..." are working in PDF/A documents created from Word with Adobe 9.1.3 Pro but Hyperlinks of "DDD://..". are removed from the PDF file.
Adobe implement something that seems to me to be not consistent.
I double checked your statement regarding the PDF/A standard with someone of the PDF/A commitee attendants.
The response was that removing Hyperlinks has nothing to do with the PDF/A standard.
    The relevant standard chapter is:
6.5.3 Handling of GoToR, URI and SubmitForm Actions
While permitted to be present in a conforming file, there are three types of actions for which a conforming interactive reader shall provide special treatment – the GoToR, the URI and the SubmitForm actions. The conforming interactive reader shall provide a mechanism to display the F and D keys of a GoToR action dictionary, the URI key of a URI action dictionary, and the F key of a SubmitForm action dictionary.
In addition, since the actual invocation of these three actions by a conforming interactive readers involves the locating of and interacting with other files that may or may not be conforming, the reader may choose to not allow the actual invocation of these actions.
NOTE For purposes of archival disclosure of the complete information content of conforming files, it is important for interactive readers to provide some mechanism to expose the destination of such actions. However, this part of ISO 19005 does not prescribe any specific behaviour or the technical implementation details that interactive readers might use to meet these functional requirements.
I would suggest to clarify the PDF/A standard and improve your current implementation.
    Best wishes,
    R.Bornheim.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in PDF Form

We use Acrobat Pro 10 / LiveCycle Desginer to create our fill-able forms to then publish on our website.  Our users can click the form on our webpage, the PDF opens in Chrome just fine and they can fill in the fields.  But when a user trys to click on the Hyperlinks, the Hand doesn't turn into the Finger allowing you to click the link and go to the webpage.  When looking at the properties of this PDF, I can see there are restrictions.  I only want to allow my customers to click on the Hyperlinks.  Keep in mind, they are using Chrome with default Chrome PDF Viewer.  Also, many of our internal users do not use Adobe to view/edit PDFs.  Their default PDF viewer if eCopy or PowerPDF, so when they open this form in those applications, the Hyperlinks do not work either.  The hyperlinks only work if I open with Adobe.
Also, I saw a security restriction in the document properties where is says can only be opened with Acrobat.
Is there way to modify this?

We tell all of our customers that official Adobe products are required to view and use the forms correctly. We cannot guarantee that the forms will work as expected otherwise. We have had a LOT of issues with customers opening (or trying to open) the forms outside of Adobe, and they never work quite right. Mind you, we use dynamic forms almost exclusively.

  • Hyperlinks don't work in frames where you have videos, and....

Did you notice that if you put a hyperlink in a frame where you already have a video, after you export in quicktime your presentation, the hyperlink won't work no more?
And did u notice that if you use an hyperlink to a frame that is not the follower one, this will blast off any transition?
And did you notice this happens in Keynote 08 AND Keynote 09?
AND AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED THIS AND IS SICK TO PAY FOR A SOFTWARE THAT "just DON'T work" ??

How bout adding the URL after the vid? That works for me; remember a connection to a URL drops you out of Keynote & Sets up Safari, so you're completely out of the app & have to get back in through the dock. I'm uncertain what you mean about the transition blast; cold you give more detail?
In fairness, all apps fail to do something or other, and this does not mean they don't work. If you want to pay big bucks & fight with PP, fine, but I'll stick to the more versatile and easy-to-use KN.
