Hyperlinks dreamweaver in outlook

I've to edit each month a newsletter on dreamweaver and make it received by clients by outlook mail. So in order to keep links with named anchor inside the mail I need to add outbind in the field link before #and the name of my anchor. This has been working for now 2 years excepted for people who received on a MAC and for the 1st time my links are not working for around 10% of people with PC. People who activ the link throught a picture for example load an error message. Could you please help me for that.Thank you.Fabienne

I am sending an email from Outlook.  It has a graphic with a hyperlink and it has text with hyperlinks.  When I open the email on my iphone, the text hyperlinks open properly.  The graphic hyperlink gives the options to email, tweet, FB, print, copy, etc.  Can anyone help me correct this so that the graphic links opens in the website it's linked to?  Thank you.

Try checking the hyperlink for the image in MS Outlook.
Select image in signature, then click "Insert Hyperlink" image to the far right of Edit signature toolbar.
    Click "Target Frame" button.
    Select "New Window", then "OK".
After doing this, it solved my problem.

  • Why do Hyperlinks clicked in Outlook cause General application error and do not open

When a hyperlink is selected inside an email in Outlook by clicking an error box opens "General Application Error" and it repeats the hyperlink address and says it is a general fault. This is a recent development as hyperlinks used to open a few days ago. Firefox V6 and Outlook V12, both updated today with no change on error.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

  • Hyperlinks in Outlook 2010 emails do not open browser

I have 2 PCs with nearly identical software configurations except for the OS.
One PC uses Windows 7 Ultimate x64, the other uses Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
Both have Office Professional Plus 2010 and Norton Security Suite 4 installed.
Both PCs have all available updates installed.
My problem is with hyperlinks contained in emals received into Outlook 2010.
On the Ultimate system, the hyperlinks work properly, that is, clicking a hyperlink opens a browser window, as expected.
On the Home Premium system, the hyperlinks don't work at all correctly.
The first time any hyperlink is clicked, a message box titled "Windows" pops up with the following content:
      Windows can't open this file.
      File:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=LO2eh6f5Go0
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it.
Windows can go online to look it up automatically or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer.
What do you want to do?
The first option button is labeled "Use the web service to find the correct program."
The second option button is labeled "Select a program from a list of installed programs."
If I select the first option, nothing appears to happen.
If I select the second, I get a pop up with a list of apps.  I select Internet Explorer. check the box labeled "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", click OK and the browser opens.
However, if I go back to the same email and click the same hyperlink during the Outlook session, a window pops up asking me to confirm that I want to open the link using IE.
If I click on any other hyperlink, in the same email or any other email, I get the first pop up "Windows needs to know what program..."
I didn't see any Outlook settings that would affect this behavior.
Any clues about what needs to be done to fix this very annoying behavior?

    Hi,
First, please check if you can open other URL in the email, such as
    http://www.microsoft.com.
Based on the current situation, the file should be played by Media Player. Now let’s try to set Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player as the default program:
    ===========
    1.
In a window of Internet Explorer, click
    Tools > Internet Options.
    2.
    Click the
Programs tab, under Internet programs, click the
    Set Programs button.
    3.
    Click
    Set your default program.
    4.
    Click on
Internet Explorer, click Set this program as default, and click the
    OK button.
    5.
    Click on
Windows Media Player, click Set this program as default, and click the
    OK button.
    6.
Reboot the computer and check the results again.
Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for
you, please feel free to let me know.

  • After uninstalling internet explorer, how do I get hyperlinks in Outlook to open

Yesterday, I uninstalled Internet Explorer in an effort to free up some hard drive space. Monzilla Firefox is my default browzer and works fine. After IE was uninstalled (using the control panel feature) hyperlinks in my Outlook email fail to open. When the hyperlink is clicked a dialog box opens asking for which program is to be used to open the link. When Firefox is selected another screen pops up saying Firefox cannot find the file :Firefox can't find the file at /C:C:/Program Files/ParetoLogic/PCHA/noapp.

Need to change my description. When Firefox is my default and I click a hyperlink, nothing happens. When IE is my default, the hyperlink opens in IE. Problem is, I prefer to use Firefox.

    Hello,
Do you get any error message when you click the hyperlink in Word?
Have you tried opening other hyperlinks in Word? What's the result?
Please right-click on the link in Word document and select "Edit Hyperlink", then check if the link address is correct. Also try to copy the link to the Internet Explorer and check if it will open.
Please let me know the result.

  • How to create a .msg with a reference to a mail item with in the same mailbox.

    Hi,
I want to achieve the following: I want to create a .msg message in a mailbox with some custom text and a reference to a mail item within the same mailbox but resides in a different folder.
Is there a way to create a reference to a individual mail item with the same mailbox?
In other words, I want to create a sort of symbolic link to a specific mail item.
Can this be done with C# and EWS?
    Thanks, Darrell

You can create hyperlinks using the Outlook: URL format eg Outlook :< ENTRYID> in the body of a message that refers to another Item in a Mailbox see

    Here's a good, simple tutorial:

It uses Outlook Express - hopefully it's similar enough.

  • Embedding letterhead in email with ability to type over in same space

ok i am a print media designer. I am absolutely green in dreamweaver but wish to learn. I am trying to figure out how to embed a client's letterhead into all of her outgoing emails to clients as a background. She needs to have the ability to type over it. My limited "google-ing" research has shown that either Dreamweaver or Outlook work best for this. I have Dreamweaver CS4 so i figured i would give it a shot. Like i said i am a beginner so if anyone feels like taking me under their wing and talking me through this i would GREATLY appreciate it!

well i do not use outlook. If i get on there to do this is it self explanitory? do you have any links to
    any helpful tutorials? Thanks!

  • Selecting the incorrect folder or file

    Hi all.
I have a rather wierd problem which Adobe help desk cannot solve.
When working in Dreamweaver, whenever I select a folder (setting up a new site), it (Dreamweaver) always selects the folder one level down. It's hard to explain so I have taken screen-shots of what happens (below).
The other (similar) problem is, when I am editing a website and I want to "change" a picture or hyperlink, Dreamweaver will not select my first selection (whatever I click on first). I have to click on any other link/image first and then click on the one I want to use.
I am using a Acer Aspire 5740G laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium. Dreamweaver is part of Web Premium CS4.
This problem does not occur with CS5 trial version (too expensive for me to buy right now).
Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Both are well known bugs in CS4 on Windows 7, which are fixed in CS5.
Both require workarounds since Adobe, in their wisdom, did not issue any patches or updaters for CS4 despite being repeatedly informed of both issues.
When working in Dreamweaver, whenever I select a folder (setting up a new site), it (Dreamweaver) always selects the folder one level down.
This is mentioned in the FAQ on this forum.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/478327
The workaround is as Murray describes.
The other (similar) problem is, when I am editing a website and I want to "change" a picture or hyperlink, Dreamweaver will not select my first selection (whatever I click on first). I have to click on any other link/image first and then click on the one I want to use.
As you have discovered, workarounds are your only option.
Another workaround, when you're browsing to the new image or link, is to go up a folder level first then immediately back down to the folder you want. This seems to wake up the "Browse for File" feature and it will then replace the image or link correctly.

  • Calendar Custom commands - Export Event is not properly exporting

    Hi
I am using  OOTB Calendar list and want to export the Events from Export Event button on Custom Command tab. It exports the data into .ics file but if there are any hyperlinks or HTML tags existing in the list data, it is not exporting the details properly.
What is the work around for this?
    Regards,
    Kiran

    Hi,
Based on your description, my understanding is that hyperlinks or HTML tags are not working when export the Events from calendar into .ics file.
I can't find Export Event button on Custom Command tab in my SharePoint 2010, how do you export the Events from calendar into .ics file.
I have done a test in my SharePoint 2010:
Go to an calendar list->  Connect to outlook, refer to the following screenshot:
The hyperlinks in the outlook is clickable, if I misunderstanding the issue, please offer a screenshot about your issue, I will better help you.

  • Clicking on the View More in Outlook....hyperlink does nothing!!

Does this work for anyone using Lync 2013 FE, Lync 2013 client on Windows 7. Exchange version is 2010 SP3. Everything in the client works just fine but when I click on the Conversations tab, I see conversations going back about 6 months. I have conversations
going back a year in my Conversation History folder in Outlook. When I click on the hyperlink on the bottom of the Conversations page, "View More in Outlook", nothing happens. No error, no popup at all. My configuration looks good. MAPI and EWS report
OK. Everything else works fine. A bug perhaps?
Interesting that it works OK with Windows XP and Lync 2010 client. Everything else being the same.

    Hi,
It should popup Outlook interface when you click “View More in Outlook” in Lync client.
Could you view the conversation history back to a year when you manually check the conversation history on Outlook?
Please try to use the account to another well worked computer and test if the issue happen.
Please try to use another Lync account to login Lync and Outlook to test the issue.
Please also try to disable add-ins about Lync on Outlook and then enable again, restart Lync client and Outlook to test the issue again.

  • Hyperlinks from Outlook 2010 don't work anymore (Firefox is my default browser)

Since I installed IE 9 I can't use Hyperlinks in Outlook anylonger (Firefox remains my default browser!). I tried already
    a) set IE 9 default (Hyperlinks works) and switch back to Firefox (Error message and Hyperlinks don't work)
    b) "Start" + R with any link doesn't work either c) delete in the registry HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxURL\ & HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxHTML\
    c) Updated Firefox to Version 4 and things are even worse (Firefox crashes now)
But nothing works, can someone help me?

Is it using yahoo as its search engine, or switching to yahoo's browser. If it is using yahoo as its search engine, you can change that in settings>options>search and at the top it will show you a button that you can click to choose your default search engine.
    Have a great day!!
