Hyperlinks in Keynote on iPad??

I notice that Keynote for the iPad does not have (or maybe I just can't find it) the capability to assign hyperlinks to objects as it does in Keynote on the iMac (I miss the Inspector!).  Has anyone figured a way around this limitation?  I have been successful in using text (the actual URL) in Keynote on the iPad, but I would rather use an object (picture, logo, etc.) than the actual text.
Also, I would love to have the ability to hyperlink from one slide in the Keynote presentation to another anywhere in the presentation.  Can this be done on the iPad?
I have iPad2 and the latest Keynote App.
Thanks for any help.
Marty T.

After much strife here is a way to do this:
Create a hyperlink as outlined in the Help menu (make sure you put a space or something after the web address).
Tap the link and enter the link settings.
Change the displayed name to "Go" or "Follow" or anything at all.
Tap on the slide to exit the Settings.
Change the field you have created to the same size as the object you want to use to activate the link by adjusting the font size and field width.
Place the field on top of the object you want to use for the link.
Select the field, tap the the info. button at the top, select the Style tab, select "Style Options" at the bottom and adjust the Opacity slider to 0%.
The text of the field will disappear and the object will now activate the link when it is tapped by the user.
Not the most elegant, but it will get the job done until Apple enables hyperlinking for objects.  This only works for Safari links not navigation within Keynote or even other apps.
Hope this helps

  • Hyperlinks in keynote for ipad

got the new keynote update for ipad. still no hyperlinks?!!

Are you adding a space after the hyperlink you're typing in? For example, if I load Keynote and type www.apple.com and then hit space, it turns into a hyperlink.

  • Hyperlinks in Keynote?

What is happening with Slide to slide hyperlinks in keynote on ipad 2?  I have new keynote software purchased november 2011.  I have read in these forums that the latest updates now allow for this - but it isnt working for me.  Anyone have any information on this?
    Thanks

I don't understand why Apple took Flash export out of Keynote 09. It's Microsoft that makes software worse with each update not Apple.
I have created a Keynote slide with clickable links that I want to export to flash for a web site. I have Flash MX, which does not work with Snow Leopard. I have Keynote 08 and 09, but the file was created with Keynote 09, and Keynote 08 can't open it.
Updating my old Studio MX to Snow Leopard is $400.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can create a graphic with clickable links without upgrading to CS4? I have a simple product photo with 9 text callouts that each link to an HTML page describing that product feature.
    Help and thanks!

  • Movies in MS PowerPoint are not shown in Keynote on iPad

    Hey Users,
I did a Presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) with embedded Movies (I tried .MOV, .wmv, .mp4, .avi). Then I synchronized the .pptx-document in iTunes and imported it in Keynote (on iPad). After importing the file I got an error message that movies are not supported and were removed.
Has anybody an idea or a solution (programm) why i can't play movies in Keynote from .pptx-files?
Answers in English or German, please.
    Thank you

Portable Document Format (PDF) was designed for cross-platform viewing support. PowerPoint was not. You may wish to reconsider PDF as it enjoys near universal support as an ISO standard.

  • Tranfering video clips for Keynote in iPad

    Hello:
I have multiple video clips in Keynote in ultiple presentations (A, B, C, D, etc.). For each presentation, I have created seperate folders with video clips (e.g., A. Video Clips, B.Video Clips, etc.)
I read that I need to pass the video clips vi PHOTO app through iTune.  However, when I did it for presentation B, it would not work. It incorporated some of the videos from A but not all of B even though at the time of synching it indicated corrected number of files had been transferred.
What am I doing wrong? How to transfer videos for multiple presentations for Keynote  into iPad? I bought the book by Tom Negrino but it is of no help.
            Thanks.

It seems that if I crop a video in iMovie and import it
into Keynote, the entire original video moves, not
just the cropped portion. In other words, I don't
seem to be able to delete the portions of a large
imported video that I don't want or to cut up a large
video into smaller clips which can then be used in
    Keynote.
    Dude! You keep saying that!
iMovie edits movies. Your results (still seeing deleted footage) are not correct or usual. You have to 'Share' the finished edit out to Quicktime. Have you tried that yet?
Stay out of the media folders where the dv files are. And don't drag and drop the clips out of the iMovie window.
Go to the file menu and select share. In that menu you have a lot of options. Check it out.
iMovie is the perfect option for getting video into Keynote.

    s,
Here's the address of the iOS Keynote discussion where you may have more luck finding an answer: https://discussions.apple.com/community/app_store/iwork_for_ios#
A good percentage of us in the Mac iWork discussions don't have the iOS device version.

  • Keynote to ipad, with custom fonts and graphics

Have a keynote presentation we've spent a lot of time on.
    Custom fonts, graphics.
I've given up trying to import it into keynote on the iPad. Fonts alone are a big issue.
So, trying converting it to quicktime, but then it plays as a movie, there is no simple, elegant solution to pause, or tap through the presentation.
    Or, am I missing something?!
    Appreciate any help.
    Charles

    Hi, i found this "solution".
It's impossible to upload new fonts on iPad, but you can convert your slides in pictures and upload your new presentation on iPad.
I dont' like it ... but it's the one way i found.

  • Keynotes for iPad Question

I have never used Powerpoint nor Keynotes.
But I bought the iPad for product demonstrations.
I created the slides in Photoshop, saved them as .png.
At the end, I have a mpg4 video playing.
Now I saw there is Keynotes for iPad.
My question: will it play the video as well? I am planning to add several videos at the end.
If yes, how will I switch from 1 video to the next? I read, you have to use your finger to change the page, can it be also automated? Like a slide show?
Or is there a better software which will work better for my purpose?
    Thank you.
    Dorian

Probably have better luck getting an answer in the iWorks for iPad forum.

  • Canot email in pdf from pages + keynote with iPad air

I can't email à document in PDF from pages and keynote with iPad air. I reset the iPad an it don't work

Can you mail the files in any other format at all? Did you try emailing a Pages file as a Pages file or as a Word doc?
OK. My response was too late. If you can email them in another format, I don't see how the problem could be with the mail app, but I suppose it's possible anyway. I know that you restored the iPad, and this should help, but try resetting all settings.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data will be lost but all of your settings will have to be entered again.

  • Fail to import Keynote 09 presentation to Keynote for iPad

Up to now, I did not manage to import a presentation to Keynote for iPad. I already tried to simplify the presentation as much as possible (changed font to Arial, removed background, compressed embedded pictures). The presentation runs smoothly in Keynote 09 but as soon as I try to open it on the iPad, I get an error message "Unknown error". Does anybody experience the same issue? Any ideas how to proceed?
Thanks in advance - I really appreciate any hint as I love the iPad and using my presentations on it is a core application for me.
    Thomas

Thomas!! Great to see you here, as I was looking into this exact problem! My sig other got it working after having this issue for a while:
She was able to succeed simply by opening the keynote file on her Mac, then doing a 'save as' to get a fresh copy and a new name. Note that we tried just copying the file to a new location first without success.
Importing the fresh file worked perfectly. Hope this helps you and others... Hope all's well with you! =)
    Cheers!

  • Can I open iPad keynote and iPad pages on a PC Microsoft word and a PC Microsoft PowerPoint? also the other way around?

Can I open iPad keynote and iPad pages on a PC Microsoft word and a PC Microsoft PowerPoint? also the other way around?

Yes. You can export iPad Pages and Keynote files as Word and PowerPoint files and you can upload/transfer/email Word and PowerPoint files to the iPad and work on them in Pages and Keynote.
Be advised that there will be some degree of formatting issues and also that the iOS versions of Pges and Keynote do not the full functionality of Word and PowerPoint on a computer.

2-Tap on camera roll (may be you are already in camera roll)
3-Look at top right, you will found one arrow point out of the rectangle, tap on that
4-It will show "Select Items" now select as many pictures you want to select...
5-Look at the top right corner, you will see "Add to" tap on that
    6-Add new album

  • Why can't I use a Bluetooth connection to Use iPhone to control Keynote on iPad?

The help function in Keynote for iPad explains how this should work, but it doesn't!

I have the same issue. Anyone figure this out? When teaching, cannot use wi-fi since requires log-in (which times out on the iPhone). Supposedly should be able to use Bluetooth to connect, but the iPad does not see the iPhone even though both are discoverable.
    Really need this to work!
