Hyperlinks in Pages 5.0

I am creating a document with a number of hyperlinks in it. The document is several pages long and each page has hyperlinks in them. The document is then exported to PDF as that is the format where it will be used.
On the first page there is no issues with the hyperlinks but they will not work on any other page. I have tried different words, different sites. I have even copied a text box from page 1 that the hyperlinks work in over to page 2 but then it stops working.
I am following the standard proceudre for inserting hyperlinks.
If anyone is facing the same issue or can offer any help that would be awesome.
Many thanks.

  • Can I put hyperlinks in Pages documents

I am having problems with converting word documents with hyperlinks into ePub. Can I use Pages to create these docs with internal hyperlinks?

Yes you can manage hyperlink in pages thru inspector

  • Hyperlinks to page number cross-refs, etc.

I'm considering whether to upgrade to RH 7 or a different
product. When generating WebHelp to printed doc, can RH 7
standalone convert hyperlinks to page number cross-refs? Requires
    setup or automatic?
I'm assuming that RH 7 requires generating printed doc to
Word. Right? By any chance can it convert directly to PDF with the
same output result as to Word?
In RH 7 is the Generate Printed Doc much improved, and in
    which ways, from RH 5?
    Thanks.

    D'oh! My bad!
I thought what was being referred to was "out of the box" behavior of X5 with no special macros applied.
    Perhaps I'm remembering it wrong.
I always defer to anything print related to Peter. And I really must get used to the fact he's really not asleep in England at 12:11 AM now but is wide awake in Colorado!

  • Custom Hyperlinks in Pages...

    Hello,
I need to create a custom hyperlink in Pages, not standard (Webpage, e-mail, Bookmark, another pages document) but something like:
    navigonROU://address//ROU/330000/HUNEDOARA/STRADA%20REPUBLICII//22.90101/45.7562 5/////CASTELUL%20DE%20HUNEDOARA
The ideea is that when I tap on a link from a touch device like ipod touch the navigation software opens up.
Any ideea is welcome. Thank you!

Thank you all for your time, it seems that I misled you in a wrong direction. Let me detail my problem.
I am working on a book in Apple Pages, on my MacBook Pro, I need a way to create hyperlinks with custom text, I am trying to get rid of the "http://" that pages is automatically completing in front of the text that I paste in the hyperlink field, under inspector > Hyperlinks tab.
After I export the .epub file, put it to my iPad/iPhone/iPod touch and open it in iBooks app, when I tap on the link that I made, if the "http://" is there, will open the link in safari like this:
    +http://navigonROU://address//ROU/330000/HUNEDOARA/STRADA%20REPUBLICII//22.90101/ 45.75625/////CASTELUL%20DE%20HUNEDOARA+
wich goes nowhere of course. On the other hand if I could manage in a way to stop pages from auto-competing the "http://" in front, when I tap on the link, will folow the link like this:
    navigonROU://address//ROU/330000/HUNEDOARA/STRADA%20REPUBLICII//22.90101/45.7562 5/////CASTELUL%20DE%20HUNEDOARA
and open the app called Navigon. I know that the link like this works because I have sent the link via e-mail, opened it on my iDevice and followed like a charm and opened the app with the address completed ready for turn by turn directions.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

How do you hyperlink one Pages document to another Pages document?

Feature removed from Pages 5, along with over 90 others, by Apple.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • Issue with RTL order in hyperlinks on Pages 5.2

    Hello,
I am having an issue with the Arabic order when trying to add a hyperlink to a text in Pages 5.2. When I type the sentence without the hyperlink the order is perfect, however when I add the the URL link to the selected text the sentence order becomes corrupted.
Could you please let me know if there is some feature that I am missing to apply or is just that the RTL support on Pages 5.2 is not very good?
Do you have a workaround to this problem?
So far the only way to solve it that I found it was to create a transparent text box with the link over the sentence. However I would like to found a better solution to this.
    Screenshots for reference:
    Correct order without link.
    Incorrect order with link
Thanks in advance for your time and help.

  • I am having a problem with hyperlinks in Pages...

I have created a document with a list of hyperlinks to other Pages documents. They work fine until I leave and come back a day later...then all of the hyperlinks appear to be broken. They still look and act like hyperlinks but when I click on them they give me a "Link cannot be opened" message. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Please help! Thanks in adviance :-)

No, I've kept the same directory structure intact throughout. They work fine and then the next day when I open the file they dont. If I close everything and immediately reopen the links are still fine, it seems to be related to how long its been since I've edited the files or something...
I do know of one workaround but it is tedious...If I select all the linked files in Finder and open them up in pages and then close them, the hyperlinks in the master file will work...but tha sort of defeats the purpose of the links in the first place :-(
Hope you can help, thanks :-)

  • How do I disable hyperlinks in Pages 5.0?

I'm creating a document and i have a number of email addresses to work with, cutting and pasting, so I don't want the hyperlinks to be active. It was a simple matter to turn them off in the old Inspector.  But I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it in the current version.  Please advise.

    Hello sudirende,
Thank you for the question.  You can disable hyperlinks by verifying that Edit>Substitutions>Smart Links is unchecked before you enter the links or email address in the document:
Turn off automatic formatting for links
If you don’t want Pages to automatically format links as clickable text, you can turn off automatic formatting.
Choose Edit > Substitutions > Show Substitutions (the Edit menu is at the top of your computer screen).
    Select the Smart Links checkbox.
Click a button to replace all occurrences of formatted links in the document, or just in the selected text.
When Smart Links is turned on for the document, a checkmark appears next to Smart Links in the Substitutions menu. You can deselect it to turn it off, but existing links won’t change unless you select the text that contains them, then follow the steps above.

  • Hyperlinked JSP Page does not refresh contents

I have a very typical problem.
In my application whenever I call a jsp page using hyperlink without any querystring attached to it the page called does not refresh. However when I press refresh on the browser it does refresh the contents. Basically in this page I am using some session variables to fetch data. So I do not call the page by passing querystring instead set the attributes of session variables and then the page is called as a hyperlink.
However if I call the same page using submit the values are refreshed.
Help on this urgently will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manish

Just set 'no-cache' option for the jsp page and test it. It should work. only you need to do is
    response.setDateHeader("Expires",0);
         response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
         if(request.getProtocol().equals("HTTP/1.1")) {
              response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
    have fun!!

  • How can I turn off automatic hyperlinks in Pages for OSX Mavericks?

Hi - I'm getting really bugged that Pages (5.2) in OSX Mavericks (10.9.2) keeps automatically making hyperlinks of any web address in a document, and even if I've edited the link to delete it, the link later reappears. I want to turn this off by default. I can't find a way to stop this and I'm getting very frustrated! Thanks!

And, in a way, it's worse than that, as I'm coming to iWork as a new user with my first Mac, having not used 09, or any other version before. However, I'm also using M$ Office (2011), which is much much better on OSX than (2013) on Win7. Having said that, and to be fair to Apple, the experience of moving to a Mac from 21 years of DOS/Windoze use has, generally speaking, been an absolute revelation and has made PC use a pleasure again. Windoze 8 finally pushed me over the edge. A few weird menu placings is a small price to pay...

  • How do i create a hyperlink in pages 5.1

In the past I used the inspector.. Now it's not available.

Links are messeg up in 5.1,  You can no longer drag in hyperlinked text from a browser, for example: instead what you get is the html url.  Links do not export reliably to PDFs.  And Apple has entirely removed the ability to add inter document links.  It's ridculous, of course, but par for the course for Pages 5.1: it is veryt buggy and lacks nearly 100 features present in Pages 09.

  • Insert hyperlink in Pages goes back to Apple

I have been cutting and paste an URL in the hyperlink tool. I see that www.apple.com is at end of UR:L adress and remove it. However the link always shows up as Apple.com. I do not have this problem with other word processing apps. I want to use Pages but typing in every URL is not practical.
Please help in that I have completed the document and all that is left is hyperlinks to reference pages.
    Thank you
    Della

I have just done this the way you described and it works as expected.
Have you typed the correct full URL?
Check for typos in the Links inspector. Copy and paste the address, or drag the URL into the field to make sure you got it right.
