Hyperlinks stopped working

I have a small navigation menu on each page like so:
Home | Contact | Careers | News
The only link currently working on all browsers is News. All of the links work fine in IE 9. Only the News links works in IE11, Firefox, and Chrome.
There was nothing special about the links. I used the Muse hyperlink menu and chose the pages in the site. To test against issues with relative URLs, I just changed the link for Contact to an absolute UR and put it on the test site. It didn't work.
The only change I can think of is that I installed the last update of Muse. I hadn't updated my site between Muse releases. I updated the site last week and the links no longer work.

Oops. It was user error. I had an HTML box over the menu so it was a layers issue. My apologies, programmers!

Hyperlinks stop working when moving QT movie to another computer

Hi.
When setting objects as hyperlinks to other slides (Next, Previous, Frist slide) and copying the exported QuickTime movie to another computer, all hyperlinks stop working. Clicking a hyperlink will prompt a message on WindowsXP.
The meaning of this is that Keynote presentations with hyperlinks cannot be distributed to other computers via QuickTime. This is very severe.
Because of the special architecture of QuickTime, using the arrow keys to navigate back, forces the user to step-back build-by-build and only a hyperlink can do this in one step.
I've researched discussion groups and websites and found no viable solution. The only solution offered was not to use slide transitions, but this negates the whole advantage over Powerpoint.
can you suggest any solution? I would even consider opening the qt movie with a text editor to find and replace the hyperlinks, but to what?

Make sure the windows machine has the absolutely newest version of QT on it. There were bugs in QT for Windows, but the last version corrected this issue.

Hyperlinks stop working when using NTLM

We are using authentication using NTLM. But since we have started doing that a lot of links accesible from the navigation panel and the personalization dialogs in iViews have stopped working. Any suggestions?

Check if there is any special character in the url .. encoding might help.
Else, if its a big url segment, you may need to insert the registry key UrlSegmentMaxLength to overcome the limitation of HTTP.sys used by the IIS. See the article:

Why do hyperlinks stop working when infoview exports a report to PDF format

I have a report that contains hyperlinks to pdf documents. When the report is viewed from within Infoview the hyperlinks work fine, but when I have infoview export the report to a pdf format the links are not enabled. When the user clicks on the link nothing happends. Thank you for any guidance that can be offered in solving this issue.

Rollover on Hyperlinks stops working after the link has been visited

Hi,
I am having a problem with hyperlinks I have created on my website. They have the same colour in normal and visited and a different rollover colour. They work fine in iweb..... however, when I publish to my domain, initially the rollover colour works but not once they have been visited..... it just stays the same colour if you hover over it..... the same problem occurs using both safari and firefox....
The links I am referring to are the different category names that appear at the top of the photo pages (within locations, if you click on one of the categories). However, the links in my navigation bar, which have been created in exactly the same manner, work fine every time.

I would have sworn they did rollover as red but you're right. Publish the site to a folder on your hard drive and open the site with your browser. if the links work OK there then the problem lies with the uploading of the site by iWeb.
Where are you hosting the site? MobileMe or a 3rd party hosting service? If it's MMe then try publishing the site using the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu option. Then try the site again.
If you're publishing to a 3rd party server use the free FTP client Cyberduck to upload your locally published site to the server.

Why do my hyperlinks stop working after a while?

On many occasions, I make a hyperlink, publish my site and it works for a while, then the link disappears.
Why does this happen?
On other occasions, I paste the link into the hyperlinks box, check to make sure it is there, but when the site publishes, the link just disappears.
These are two separate happenings.
Could you tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can correct it?

I do that. I have a Mac so I hit the return key. My links work for a while after my site is published, then they just disappear. My followers will write me and say 'not working'. It doesn't happen all the time but often enough that it's troublesome if I'm launching a new design.
In other instances, I paste in the link, hit the return key, see it in the window but when I publish my site, no link.
I can struggle through, it's just annoying and I thought I would ask.

Hyperlinks Stopped Working. Why?

I am able to type a URL into a text box in a Pages Page Layout document and it works as a hyperlink. But when I try to INSERT a hyperlink from the INSERT menu, HYPERLINK is active but all the submenu items are dimmed out and unavailable. Also when I highlight an object, some text or an entire text box and select the HYPERLINK tab from the INSPECTOR window, everything is dimmed out and I am unable to create a hyperlink as I have done many times in the past. What happened!?

Just solved my own problem. I located the Pages plist file and deleted it. Now everything works fine. It's located here: Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iwork.pages.plist. I guess those files get corrupted now and then. Any enlightening comments on this issue are appreciated. Thanks.

Hyperlinks Stopped Working on Photo Page

I'm currently using iWeb 3.0.1 and I created a web site using earlier versions. My photo page has hyperlinks under each photo, as the person's name, that take the reader to a related site. Ever since I've installed iWeb '09 the links no longer work on the published page although they're functional within iWeb itself. Now, within the inspector, I can no longer select the "enable as a hyperlink" option. Could someone be kind enough to take a look at the page and share any fixes or workarounds you can come up with?

Hyperlinks in PDF doc stop working when emailed out in Mac Mail. Why?

I have created a Pages document with hyperlinks and then saved it as a PDF.
The PDF document retains the hyperlinks (they still work).
When I attach the PDF to Mail and email it out the hyperlinks stop working unless I double click on the PDF document (which "opens it").
Why? Help please as I want the hyperlinks to work when the email is received - ie. without double clicking on it. Thanks.

First off, Word should show you the version on a splash screen when you launch it.
Also, what happens to the links if you just open the document in Word and save it as a PDF?

Bookmark hyperlinks not working within PDF

I have added hundreds of bookmarks and created hyperlinks to each one. The hyperlinks function from within iBooks Author but as soon as I export to PDF, the hyperlinks stop working.
From within the PDF the hyperlinks appear as underlined text, and the curser changes to indicate that a hyperlink is present. But clicking on a link does nothing. However, external hyperlinks (to websites: e.g. http://www.site.com) function OK.
I have opened the PDF within Preview, Adobe Reader and also within various iPads. Apple indicate that bookmarks/hyperlinks work when exporting to PDF, so what am I doing wrong?
I've searched the net for solutions and it appears that I'm not the only one with the same issue - but no solution is present.
Any ideas?

Are you sure that you really entered a link when you created an Hyperlink?
The described one is the one which is used by default by every iWork's components.

Hyperlink not working on TLF textfield with right align

I have a strange problem with TLF textfield in flash cs5.5. Hyperlinks stop working if I set Text Align to "Right" both in the IDE and Through AS3 code. This works perfectly in Flash CS 5.0
I really cant go back to CS 5.0, hence any suggestions on a workaround will help immensely.

Here are the steps I have taken so far, none of them working:
1.) I have done a full reset and set the phone up as a new phone (no restore from icloud)
2.) I have downloaded the public release build from the developer forum, installed it, and set up as a new phone.
3.) I have done 1 and 2 above while restoring from icloud
Not one of them has worked. I am wondering if it isolated to the Verizon iphone 5?

Hyperlinks have stopped working in Acrobat 9 pro

Hi all,
I have been using acrobat 9 pro for quite some time now, in conjunction with Microsoft Office 2007, specifically Excel 2007.
I have been using Excel 2007 to create my reports which have several worksheets. The first worksheet is a simple cover page and the second a worksheet with data relating to the next "x" amount of worksheets.
On this second worksheet, I have included several hyperlinks which point to the other "x" worksheets within the workbook as a whole. The other worksheets then have a hyperlink which takes them back to the data (second) worksheet. Sort of like a homepage pointing to locations, with a "home button" on each subsequent page.
Once the reports were finished, I then clicked the PDF maker button, and added "all worksheets" or "entire workbook" whichever took my fancy at the time to create the PDF. This hhas been working perfectly for over a year, however, last month this stopped working.
Previously when creating the PDF file, being a really boring nerd i decided to click the "show progress" button which showed every step of the conversion process from "performing post processing" to "scanning for hyperlinks" etc. Now when I click the "show progress" button, all that appears is "performing post processing," the scanning for hyperlinks has completely disappeared.
I have checked the settings, in case they had been changed accidentally, however, the "include links" checkbox is ticked. I have also tried creating several (well all) different formats of the Acrobat PDF from version 4 through to 8, all with the same results. The text that should be a hyperlink is blue and underlined, but has no link.
If i create a PDF/A format file, the hyperlinks are the same result (blue and underlined) however if you hover over the link text popps up with the address of where the link should point to in the document, eg. "Page 6 XYZ 59 542 NULL."
I imagine the "NULL" part has something to do with this feature not working.
My current version of Acrobat is 9.1.2 and I am wondering if the update from 9.0 is what has caused this, and if so, does anyone have a way of making the hyperlinks work.

The source of the problem (Excel internal Hyperlinks no longer convert to PDF file) has been FOUND...check for the installation of "Microsoft Excel 2007 Security Update (KB969682)". The Knowledge Base Article, dated June 9, 2009, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969682 actually lists one of the two issues we started to notice at the end of June / early July. The recent Adobe Acrobat 9.1.2 update was more than likely just coincidentally released at about the same time as Microsoft's KB969682 security update for Excel 2007.
We uninstalled the "Microsoft Excel 2007 Security Update (KB969682)" update from our Windows XP workstations, and the Adobe PDFMaker Add-In 9.1.2 works fine now...no more distorted graphics and Excel Hyperlinks are now back into the PDF files!

Ui:hyperlink and ui:button "action" methods stopped working in IE

I'm developing my application for few months, but few days ago all ui:hyperlink and button action methods stopped working in IE. They are not invoked at all... No javascript errors, everything works fine in Firefox. Can anybody tell me where to look as I'm sitting 6h in front of screen and cannot find anything wrong...

"Inspector" Hyperlink function stopped working.

While building my original site, the "Inspector" Hyperlink function worked perfectly. Now, adding a new page, it fails. I upgraded to iWeb 09 thinking that was the problem, but it still won't work. What can I do?
