Hyperlinks' underlined or not

The manual says that the hyperlinks can be underlined or not- but doesn't say a thing about how to do this. Now, the odd thing is that some of my links are underlined and some aren't.
Anyone know what I'm missing here?

go to the hyperlink tab in the inspector. then under format you can choose to underline the links or not.
whatever links you highlight, and apply a specific style, they will have this style and the other links will not have this unless, you hit the apply to all links button.

Underlined and not-underlined Hyperlinks

I want that most of my Hyperlinks are underlined (so I said this in the Stylesheet)
But there are some which should not be underlined
It´s possible to make them not-underlined with the little T - Symbole, but in the created chm its again underlined...
Hope you can help me, seems I´m too stupid to do this on my own...

The best solution is to use css. If one day you decide all your not-underlined hyperlinks should actually be underlined and need to be bright pink, you're in for some work. With styles, it's much easier. This will however, involve some manual css and html.
In your stylesheet, add the following line (behind any other hyperlink styles):
a.regular { text-decoration: none; }
All hyperlinks with the class regular will not be underlined anymore. In your topic, go to the hyperlink that should not be underlined and go to html view. The links looks like this: My link. Now add class=”regular” to the link, so it looks like this:
My link
Whenever you feel you want the links to have a different style (such as bright pink), simply change the css to adjust all your links at once.

Why are SOME hyperlink underlines BOLD?

Hello,
I've recently been experiencing a problem with my hyperlink underlines. My original file is in MS Word 2010. When I generate it to PDF (using Word's Acrobat Create PDF plug-in; I have Acrobat X Pro), I've noticed that it turns SOME of my hyperlink underlines BOLD. This is not my desired effect...I'm not sure why it is doing this. It looks perfectly fine in MS Word. But, it's pretty noticable throughout the PDF document; some hyperlinks have BOLD underlining and some do not. I DO NOT want this BOLD underlining. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this behavior?

Yes, they are still bold; it looks slightly less noticable at 200%, but you can still tell. It even prints bold, which I didn't expect.

Hyperlink in Smartforms not vworking in Lotus Notes

Hi,
I want to add a hyperlink (e-mail address), in smartforms that get triggerred through Action Profiles. I am facing a problem where in the smartform is opened in Lotus Notes.
While opening the e-mail in Lotus Notes and placing the cursor on the e-mail field in the smart form, it does not provide the hyperlink kind functionality.

Thank you Abhilash. Yes I tried those. This is what i did:
1. Created a text element in the smartforms with text 'MY URL'. Using the 'Insert URL' button (in the extreme right of the list of buttons) assigned hyperlink to it. The word changed to underline and in blue colour.
2. I called function module HR_RCF_SF_URL_PREPARE_CALLBACK, in smartform. Also i tried calling in the report.
3. Assigned the function module HR_RCF_SF_URL_CALLBACK in the URLCALL field of the FM that is calling the SF.
Please let me know if i missed any steps.

There have been a few threads about this. The feature seems to have gone missing in Mountain Lion even though the Help for Preview still mentions it.
I've filed a bug report on it.

An external hyperlink should handoff to Safari and leave iBooks.
If that's not happening, perhaps there is something misconfigured on your iPad? Have you manually confirmed those links work in Safari on your iPad?

Hyperlink text will not work with _self, only as self and then creates window

I understand that the code below should work but it doesn't, I have to take the underline before self out, for the hyperlink to work at all, and then it creates another window for the file. There may some sort of glitch that I am not aware of. But the code below does not work as is in my app. Any further suggestions?

Edited hyperlinked shape images not hyperlinking properly when published

I've tried to add and edit hyperlinked shape images at the top of the page, namely "The PolySteel Systems" and "FAQs". No matter what I do--bring to front, recreate a brand new image, copy and paste one I know works--the published version does not hyperlink properly. I unselect "make all hyperlinks inactive" in the hyperlink inspector pane, rollover my mouse to ensure that all buttons take me to the proper place, then click them to prove it. Works in iWeb, not on the published page.
Does anyone know how iWeb creates the code? When I save changes I've made, does it rewrite code for the entire page, or does it plug in edits at the end of the existing code? When I go in to view source in safari, it looks like it put the two edited/added images in a different location.
Help! Visitors/potential customers are missing a valuable link on my site.

Yes, each is its own image, as making one text box and hyperlinking each word/phrase results in the unchangeable (arrrgh!) grey underlined text that changes to red on rollover.
I've already been experimenting with exactly what you mentioned. I just tried shrinking all the image boxes, without encroaching on the text, so they would clearly not overlap. I'm publishing to me.com for these experiments so I don't have to keep publishing the entire site to a folder, then ftping to my server. Here's the page I just experimented with:

In iWeb, all links are good to go, no overlapping, etc. Curiously enough, on this page, there are even more dysfunctional hyperlinks with those image boxes.

BI Publisher - Stop hyperlink underlining in html

Hi,
My users are developing many templates using the word plugin and uploading the rtf files to publisher. We can create hyperlinks to other web pages and they work correctly BUT they always come out underlined in the html document we are generating.
How do I stop the underlining of the hyperlink?
Our standards people will not allow this underlining so we are stuck until we can find a solution.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Thats a tough one ... you can not specify the CSS command in your template
a:link, a:visited, a:active {text-decoration: none}
to turn off underlining in your html. We do not currently support that, you can turn off the underlining in MSWord but we ignore your choice on that front. Please log an SR and get support to log an ER for you.
As a workaround, you can get your users to tunr off the underlining in the browser client. Might not be an option but all I can think of.
Check your browser's configuration options. For example, in Mozilla Firefox see Tools > Options... > Fonts & Colors... for the Underline links option, in Opera see Tools > Preferences... > Web pages for the Underline normal links and Underline visited links options, and in MSIE 6 see Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing for the Underline links option.
Or, you could, and this is going to be nasty, parse the XHTML, find the CSS commands we insert and insert the necessary command to turn off underlining.
To be honest I would argue its a users preference to see the underlining, hover or hide it ...

Hyperlink underlines removed for Kindle

I cannot for the life of me remove the hyperlink (and cross-reference) underlines from the Kindle output. In InDesign CS6 (PC), everything is done properly. I created a PDF to check, and the formatting is as I wanted it: colored and in italics, but not underlined. I made this a character style and selected it as the text formatting in the Kindle output panel.
The hyperllinks and cross-references work fine, but they are always underlined. Any ideas how to get rid of the underlining?

I think by default, that's the way Kindle handles hyperlinks no matter what you do in Indesign. By the way, I was trying to test it on ID CC with Windows 8.1 and it seems they haven't updated it for this version.

Hyperlinks from Word not correct in pdf when in web browser v7

We have a table of contents that we we have in word, the word file has hyperlinks to individual PDF files. After a new item is added to the table on contents, we distill the word to a pdf. Users access the pdf from a web page. Recently something changed and the pdf file of the table of contents is not linking to the correct pdf file.

Can we distribute the document without the risk of losing the signature validity in the Word document ?
Is it better to apply signatures to PDFs ?
Or can we preserve the appearance of the signature in the Word document ?
I wonder why just one of the signatures is not displaying when i use the Adobe menu to generate the PDF.
Perhaps some setting in the job options is causing that? What might it be though ?

Hyperlinks in Excel not working when doing the PDF Convert

I have worked on this and worked on this. Now I am at a point where I need assistance as I am stumped. I have about 20 different facilities that have financial statements that need to be published in Adobe as a PDF format and when I go through the steps to convert everything looks good, except the links are not working. We have about 62-74 pages that will be exported and due to the departments and such we need the links to work.
This is through Excel-
I select the worksheets I want to convert then after it is done I open the PDF and the links are not working. To set them up manually in Adobe is too labor intensive -- any ideas on how to get this to work?

I can send an attachment, please beware that is it financial information that cannot be published-also the hyperlinks are setup in Excel as well.
