Hypertalk - like Commands in Keynote?

before PowerPoint and long before Keynote, I used to do similar presentations using HyperCard. What was nice was the ability to make "stack" buttons and "card" buttons that would allow you to jump off to different cards using commands like, "go to card id 3456" or "go to home." It was much more flexible than going from slide one to slide two etc. Is there any way to define and insert "buttons" in keynote?

You can attach hyperlinks to objects in Keynote, which will take you to specific slides in the current presentation, or to the start of another presentation. You will find the hyperlink options in the Hyperlink Inspector. Hyperlinks are not as flexible as the HyperCard options (and man, wasn't HyperCard great?), but they may be sufficient for your purposes.

I'd like Command-1, or 2-3-4 respectively, to access Tabs, instead of Bookmarks on Bookmark Bar.
That's how it works on Firefox 3.5.3 but Safari 4.3.4. Thus, on Firefox, Command-1 switches to the Left Most Tab, when Multiple Tabs are open. But on Safari, Command-1 switches the Tab's Conten to the Left Most Bookmark on Bookmark Bar, which undermines the concept of Multiple Tabs, I think!
The whole idea for Tabs is to have several sites open at the same time in different Tabs, and be able to Toggle them! It's much easier to Toggle between Command-1 and Command-2, rather than to use the mouse! That's why Pro-Users use Keyboard Shortcuts, which they have memorized.
Do you agree that Safai should gives a choice to Configure Command-1, or 2-3-4 respectively, to behave as they do now - accessing Bookmarks, or the way it works in FireFox, accessing Tabs?

Apple did respond to that, although it wasn't a feature request, but a Freeze Problem
Carolyn responded to that and as far as I know, she is not on this site as an official representative of Apple, but purely, in her spare time, as a user who gives a lot of her valuable time and experience to other users, as do others.
BTW, do you agree with my Request? If so, please state that! If enough people ask for this, maybe Apple will do something? And anyone can include a link to this Thread in the Bug Report, so to connect the dots:)!
Firstly, I really don't find a need personally, for your request, but some might. Certainly send it as a bug report but certainly don't send Carolyn's response to an unrelated thread with it!!!!! At least wait to hear from her and let her explain the situation you are reading into.

Report Builder 2.0 - Filtering multiple values with LIKE command

Hi,
I'm trying to use multiple values for a LIKE command in the Tablix Properties-Filters area. I thought this would be easy, and it may yet prove to be easy yet I'm banging my head against the wall at the moment.
I have created a new filter with:
Expression: Campaign
Operator: Like
Value: 02A*
So, I only want the Campaign codes returned that start with 02A. Now, this on it own works fine, the issue begins when I want to add in the Campaigns beginning with 02K. I have tried adding a separate new filter underneath the first as well as using the
OR command, yet, nothing is working correctly. When adding a separate filter it appears to work as an AND in conjunction with my first filter for 02A, but needs to work independently as an OR.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Mike,
Based on my research, this should be a product issue in Report Builder 2.0. In your scenario, you should use “true” (without the quotes) to replace “True”. While changing True to true cannot work via UI since the UI will automatically change the true to
True again. To work around this issue in Report Builder 2.0, you have to modify the True to true in the code view mode.
After testing the issue in my environment again, I find another way to fix this issue. Please see:
Expression: =(Fields!Campaign.Value like "02A*") OR (Fields!Campaign.Value like "02K*" )
Type: Text or Boolean (Boolean type will automatically change to Text type)
Operator: =
Value: =true
Btw, this issue has been fixed in Report Builder 3.0, the filter which you posted will be work great in Report Builder 3.0.

Non-support for SQL LIKE command

I understand from poking around in this forum that the rowset visual Query Editor does not suppor the LIKE command. I also discovered that if I just put it in anyway, then tell the editor to "continue" when it complains, that it works fine at runtime. My question is how exactly, using the other editors/designers in Creator, should I put my hand-entered SQL code if I want to skip using the Query Editor? I am new to the Creator world and cannot find where the SQL statement actually resides. Thanks for the info. I would also like to bind the output of a dropdown list to the query so I can allow the user to pick a starting point for a query from A-Z. Using the dropdown list for the letters, but need to connect that to the query itself.

If you select the RowSet icon - this icon appears just below
the designer (after dropping a database table onto the page)
There's a property, Command
Just copy/paste your SQL here then save all.
Check the Page bean constructor to make sure the
SQL was pasted correctly

Keynote provides printed handouts as follows:
File > Print:
in the chooser; click on the Handouts option
click the drop down menu and select 3 per page
select the other options required

Is it possible to lock out the Key Board commands in Keynote?

Is it possible to lock out your key board actions in Keynote? This happened all of a sudden. My keyboard has no effect on my trying to change text colors or enter characters. By using the mouse to add text the text box appears but I cannot change the character color.I can change it with the mouse and the new color is displayed but when I type nothing appears as the default color is white and the background is white. I did a copy and paste from a previous slide and I can enter the line to start editing but nothing appears. Nor can I delete anything with the Key board. This is only happening in Keynote. If I use the Key Board to send an email everything works fine. Can type and use the delete button so it seems that the Key Board is fine with other Apps, this is just happening in Keynote. It seems like the Key Board actions are not taking place, it is as if the Key Board is locked out of the Keynote functions.

Try resetting Keynote as follows:
remove Keynote version 6.5, you must use an application removal tool for this procedure to work: Appcleaner is free, I use Appzapper
empty the trash
Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > Shut Down)
wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key, release the Shift key when you see the grey Apple screen
start up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac is performing a repair routine
restart the Mac normally, (don’t hold down any keys during startup)
install Keynote from the Mac App Store

Shift key working like Command key in iMovie '06 Clips Pane

I am trying to move a lot of clips at once within the Clips Pane. The Shift key is not working properly; instead, it acts like the Command key. When I click on one clip, then Shift-click a final clip, no range of clips get selected: instead, only THOSE TWO clips are selected. What could be happening?

How to change "=" command to "like" command in jsp

Hi all,
I have a change request where i need to get the output for all the values that are simila to a string and not exactly like a string. Currently the code is like
obj_id = dfSession.apiGet("id", "enterprise_site" + " where object_name='" + strDocumentNumber + "'");
It uses API command to get the values.
Here strDocumentNumber is the string which we need check. Currently its checking for the exact value "=" and i need to change and put a "like" so that it checks for any string simialar to strDocumentNumber in the tabe enterprise_site.
I also need to put % in front and back of strDocumentNumber fyi.
I tried all the possible combinations but couldnt succed. Can someone help me out?

Arrow key acts like command-C

I've got a classroom Mac that's behaving strangely. When you press the up arrow, it acts like a command-C. I've tried a different (known good) keyboard with the same result, so I know it's a setting in the computer somewhere. But I can't find it! How can I change this back to normal?

I have to tar a folder.. and I want to call tar from the parent folder so that the tar file will not include empty folders... in order to do that I should do a "cd myfolder" but how can I chain them togheter? otherwise they are 2 different commands..

C3750-48ts Service-Policy Output Like Command

Hello,
I'm having an issue trying to find a way to make a QOS or limiting of network traffic on a cisco 3750 that we have at a client site.
What the end goal is to make the network traffic 10x5mbs on some ports and 5x1mbs on others.
From how I normally do traffic shaping on routers is Class-map, policy-map and service-policy. However as I found out with with this project I can't run the Service-policy Output command on the 3750 model. The other way that I know how to limit bandwidth on these switches is to use the srr-queue bandwidth limit % command. However, this isn't going to work for the clients that have 30x5mbs connection though us.
Here is what I have programmed:

The 3560 & 3750 (& 2960) don't support egress policy-maps. They do however support queueing so it is possible to achieve similar results by applying an ingress policer to your user ports to classify (& police?) the traffic, at the egress port you can then queue the traffic based on it's DSCP or CoS value that it was classified with (same as 3550).
It is also possible to restrict the bandwidth in use at an egress port with the interface command 'srr-queue bandwidth limit <10-90>' where 10-90 represents a percentage of the links bandwidth. For example if you want to restrict a 100Mbps port to 10Mbps you would use the command 'srr-queue bandwidth limit 10'

I want to find only columns that would have the AP in it ..
I tried the following
name like upper('%_AP_%')
but it brings back more than I need ... it seems to bring back data that has NAMEAP_LAST,
I only want AP ..

WHERE UPPER (name) LIKE '%\_AP\_%' ESCAPE '\''_' is a wild-card in LIKE; it matches exactly 1 character, so "LIKE '%_AP_%'" means at least 1 character must come before and after 'AP', but it doesn't matter what character that is. (E.g., when name='NAMEAP_LAST', the 'E" matches the first '_'.) To use the wild-card characters literally, you have to escape them, as shown.
Also, '%\_AP\_%' is already in upper-case, so you don't need to call UPPER on it. If you're not sure about name, then you do need to call UPPER (name).

Summing up again, I'd have to stick with my previous statement: due to the degree of difficulty, there's no quick fix for this, and applying priorities would put this feature at the bottom of the list. Reiterated rejection of the feature at the Exchange even implies it just falls off the list.
But please correct me if I haven't understood correctly.
Don't think I'm mad for this or anything, I understand perfectly the order of things and came to accept this a long time ago.
