Hypervisor not running Windows 8 Professional

I know that there have been a lot of posts for this, but I have poked around everywhere and cannot find an answer for my Hypervisor situation, and most everything I see is make sure that you can support it, as well as have DEP and Virtualization enabled.
I have poked around my BIOS turning on and off different things that are close to relation to virtualization. I recently swapped out my mobo and have found that I get the Hypervisor error when trying to start a hyper-v machine. I have enabled
both DEP and Virtualization and know that my processor supports it (Worked on my other mobo). I know that this mobo supports the virtualization and can run VMware and Virtual box which I am doing now since Hyper-V hasn't been working. I would like to run Hyper-V
on my machine and want to know if anyone else has any other solutions that I have not been able to find. I have not had VMware or Virtual box install when trying to run (to be sure there are no conflicts)
If you need any other information let me know.

you can always
- enable DEP
- disable USB 3.0
- set bcdedit hypervisor=auto
- enable/disable virtualization in bios using a cold boot
- change partitions
- install a ms kb hotfix for amd cpus
- etc....
but PLEASE read about this post on HP forums blaming the Ralink Bluetooth Driver causing that virtualization issue !

Then it's time to call Apple tech support while you are still under warranty.  Every iPod comes with complimentary, single-incident telephone technical support within 90 days of your iPod purchase.   If you also purchased AppleCare, then your warranty is extended for technical support and hardware coverage for two years from the original purchase date of your iPod.

Having trouble when I launch iTunes (version 11.0.2) on my Dell Laptop running Windows 7 Professional (service pack 1).  I get an error message indicating software required to communicate with iPod and mobile phones was not installed correctly.  Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?  I normally respond with OK and it immediately tells me "could not be repaired.  Please reinstall iTunes..."  I have done this a number of times to no avail.

I also notice Quicktime is not getting installed at all.
That one is normal nowadays (ever since the iTunes versions 10.5.x).
The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Backup issues - New T510 running Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)

I am running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) on Lenovo T510 (4313-CTO). As soon as I loaded some applications and transferred data from my old computer to “My Documents” in the “C” partition of the T510 I immediately began having space issues with automatic backup. I received the following alert:
    Low Disk Space.
You are running out of disk space on Lenovo_Recovery (Q
Click here to see if you can free space on this drive.
The "Q" partition was pre-set by Lenovo at 9.76 GB.  I have not tried to change it (yet).
I set the backup options to “Keep only the latest system image and minimize space used by backup.” Note that I viewed backups and it lists only one backup image on the “Q” partition (given the warning message, perhaps even that is only a partial image).
Properties for the “Q” partition indicate
Used space: 10,476,949,504 bytes 9.75 GB
Free space: 8,806,400 bytes 8.39 MB
    Capacity 10,485,755,904 bytes 9.76 GB
What do I do at this point to complete a backup?
If relevant to your suggestions, here are some specific questions about solving the problem:
How can I manage backups to the “Q” partition given the space issue – i.e., do I need to reallocate partitions on the hard drive to create a larger “Q” partition, or are there other options?
Related to my first question, can I create sufficient backup space without reformatting the hard drive and destroying content on the “C” partition?
Would the better choice be to use DVD media for backup – since using the “Q” partition on the same hard drive leaves it vulnerable to failing at the same time as the “C” partition?
    Any other ideas?
Thanks, in advance, to all who are able to respond. Peace … E

    Thanks Nap.
    To Nap and others
Got it on back-up.  I did not initiate a backup but assumed that the error messages that I am receiving were caused by a Lenovo auto-initiated backup.  What can I do to elminate the error messages I am receiving (see my prior post).
    Peace ... Ed

  • HT1925 I cannot uninstall Bonjour and Quicktime so I can do a complete reinstall of iTunes.  I get an error message stating that both are older versions and to contact technical support.  I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.

I am trying to update iTunes on my desktop (running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3) and I continue to receive an error message stating that the update cannot continue because Bonjour and Quicktime are older versions and to contact technical support.  I have tried repairing both and tried to uninstall iTunes and all of it's componants and still receive the same message.  Any help getting this issue resolved as soon as possible will be much appreciated.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Next, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

MSI Live Update not working Windows XP Professional 64bit Edition!!!

Thank you so much. I just want to say I really appreciate when people do take the time to post me in return. So I really mean it, Thank You.
A quick question. You see, I have been upgrading my computer. I installed a Belkin USB USB Card (high speed 2.0) cause I needed more USB ports. Then I checked for compatable RAM and upgraded my RAM from 512MB to 2Gigs. Everything alright.
Now, I have checked for processors that are compatable with my board K9VGM-V (MS-7253). And MSI's chart says mine is compatable with the AMD Athlon 2x 6000 (3.0Ghz) *IF* I use the 89 watt and not the 125 watt. Here is a good URL for the processor details I found:
    http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon%2064%20X2%206000+%20-%20ADA6000IAA6CZ%20(ADA6000CZBOX).html
Now do you have any tips and I will probably have to flash to BIOS for sure after this upgrade won't I?

  • MBP Alu not reading Windows XP Professional disk

    Hi to all,
I just got the new mac book pro 15" (i recently had the old 12" g4). I loved the boot leg capabilities, so went ahead and found a copy on ebay of Windows XP Professional, version 2002. The disk says on it 'includes Service Pack2. I followed boot camp and partitioned my hard drive (32gb), however upon inserting my disk my installation processes stopped. I would put the disk in and instead of the typical buzzing sound of a cd spinning it sounded very metallic and weird, and after about 10 seconds my mac would spit the disk out. I tried it a few times with the same thing happening. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

The symptoms you describe can happen if the disc is dirty or scratched, So, take a close look at the reverse side of the disc and make sure it is clean and unmarked. If it's dirty or smudged, use a soft, damp cloth to clean the disc, wiping it from the center out along the radius (as if drawing a spoked wheel). If scratched, it may be possible to use a standard CD scratch kit. Most music and electronics outlets have scratch kits for between US$15 and $30.
If you have examined the disc and have found no smudges or marks, consider this: Certain production runs of the Windows XP SP2 CD have been reported as unreadable under specific circumstances. To date, the exact cause of the problem is unknown, yet it appears that only Macs have symptoms while using affected discs. The computer itself is not defective. If you have a defective disc, you can call Microsoft for a replacement as long as supplies are available.
Some have been able to copy affected discs to blank recordable discs using a PC and using the copy instead.
    Nate

  • Upgrade to iTunes to 10.4.0.80 caused 100% CPU usage when I start iTunes. Task manager shows iTunes 50% mobile 50%. I am running Windows XP Professional sp3. iPhone 3 ios 4.3.5

I upgrade to iTunes 10.4.0.80. Since then iTunes uses 50% of the CPU and Mobile uses 50% CPU. I let it run for hours and the CPU usage stayed at 100%. The phone will partially sync but takes a very long time. This was not a problem before the iTunes upgrade. I am running iTunes on Windows XP professional SP3. It does not matter if the phone is connected to the USB port of the PC. When iTunes starts it runs the CPU at 100%.

Yes!  I am not the only one with this problem.  Ever since the latest iTunes update, the CPU runs up to 100% using both the mobiledevice and itunes itself.  The store won't work either!  I'm also on Windows XP.  I too have tried everything I can think of but nothing has helped.  I really hope they get an update out with fixes soon.  This is really annoying!!
