Hyphenation sometimes not working in FM9

Sometimes words are hyphenated but no hyphen appears. Anyone noticed this?

Mats, a few more questions for cogitation: Are you working with English only, or other languages? Are all hyphens in the doc missing or just an occasional one while others in the same doc are fine? Can you trace the problem to just one specific paragraph style or type of document or maybe the second hyphen in a paragraph or ...? What fonts? What printer is set as the default? How was the content entered, i.e. directly into FM or was it copy/pasted or imported from other sources? Was the doc originally created in an earlier FM version or was it created in FM9? What hyphenation settings do you have for the paragraph style? Also, what settings for word spacing? If you save a problem document to MIF, can you find the location of a missing hyphen and see whether there is in fact the MIF code for a hyphen, which would be <Char SoftHyphen> fwiw, I vaguely recall issues with missing hyphens many eons ago, in the mid-90s.

See the above post for more information - here's a synopsis:
CTRL+SHIFT modifiers are not working while running LabVIEW in a Parallels 7 virtual machine. This problem affects both LV2011 and LV2012. I'm not certain that this is a LabVIEW bug - could be an issue with my virtual machine environment or it's configuration - except that CTRL+SHIFT modifiers work in other applications on the affected VMs. It's just LabVIEW that appears to ignore shortcuts with the CTRL+SHIFT modifiers.
Any ideas?

Mark debug 'sometimes' not working

I find mark debug sometimes not working.In my new project ,I add mark debug = true, then set up the debug nets.I can't find them in the assigned nets ,but from the netlists I find some of them.The missing nets are wire type,notregister type.Does the command not work on wire type nets?
Because my project is very large, searching for the nets requires a very long time.So I hope Xilinx can fix this bug.

Rather than open another thread, I'll extend this one since I'm having what I think is the same problem.
I'm using Vivado 2014.4. "Flatten" is set to "None". The nets are set in the elaborated design with MARK_DEBUG and DONT_TOUCH. But when synthesis gets done with them, the names are completely different.
I don't care if the "equivalent" nets are still there. I need the names. Every time synthesis runs, it's a crapshoot whether the names will change. Particularly bad are 500+ bit buses that get exploded into individual signals. I don't have the time to regather them into the proper buses every time.
In general, I've been pleased with the changes in Viviado. But I can't believe how badly a wonderful tool like ChipScope has been screwed up.

Equium L40-156 - Indicator WLAN sometimes not work

Hello peoples - has anyone any idea wha this is bout?
I cant seem to find a similar problem anywhere. The indicator light for the wireless connection will sometimes not work - as a result i have to manually go into network connection and turn on wireless cap. - this will not turn the light on but does allow me to access the internet.
This happens for a few weeks and then it all rights itself for a few weeks,
Then it happens again.

Do you mean this issue happens sometimes but in most cases you can enable the WLan properly?
First of all to enable the WLan you have to move the WLan antenna switch to ON (be sure that it has been switched properly to the right) and you have I use the FN+F8 key combination.
Usually this enables the WLan.
Im not sure why the WLan antenna switch does not work sometimes maybe its a hardware issue; for example loose connection or the switch was not moved properly who knows
Maybe it would be a good idea to ask an technician for a WLan switch check...

Because I have more than 1 application using upload, and everything is correct! But it doesn't work as it should!

The only thing we can conclude is that it could be a bug from oracle !!! (???) But I talked with other people and they say that it works fine for them.
There is one important thing: when we put a form to "Uses Upload = true" it seems that the page doesn't work very normal. For exemple: if you use a table in a form that uses upload the table get's "crazy".

Web address with hyphen will not work in PDF

CS 4; ID 6.0.6
OSX 10.5.8
In ID, I create web links by selecting a url and then selecting New Hyperlink From URL. The new link is a Shared Destination by default with the web address as was selected. These links work fine when exported to PDF.
When I use the same process on a url with a hyphen (part of the address and not a line break), the resulting Shared link will not work when exported to PDF. The newly created link in this case always begins with file:///Users/.
What is it about the hypen that messes up the process? I work in a bilingual government so we have a lot of urls with hyphens in them. For example: www.cga-nb.org.

Layout adjustment sometimes not working

I'm in a bit of a panic here. We've set up a file that we're due to deliver to a client today, the file has multiple master pages with various margins.
Normally in this type of situation we turn on the layout adjustment so that the text frame moves with the margins when the new master is applied. Normally this works just fine, we use it all the time, but for some reason its randomly NOT working! i.e. the text frame stays the size it was.
There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason to it, sometimes its a left page, sometimes a right page.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I tried. Nothing seems to work all the time as is usually does.
I'll have to look again and see if I can find some correlation with the
pages that do not adjust.

A problem with a timer event sometimes not working

Guys...
I have this problem:
I have a child added to the stage eacg 5 seconds and if this child still on the stage after another 5 seconds, you go to the next frame...
My problem is that sometimes it does not work, meaning that you can have this child on the stage for ever and nothing will happen... but sometimes it does work properlly...
Is there any mistakes in my code or what should I do?

ok, so there are a number of issues.
the first error is enemy1Array contains two duplicate objects ~5 seconds after entering that frame. i'm not sure if that's a problem because i don't see where you're even using enemy1Array, but you should fix that error (if enemy1Array is used) or remove enemy1Array (if it's not used).
the next problem is you can call recycleEnemy more than once and re-add those timers. flash will probably protect yourself from the bad coding but you shouldn't count on it. when you call removeEnemy you should stop those timers and remove those listeners before re-adding another pair of listeners. or just reset the timers in removeEnemy and start them in recycleEnemy. there's no need to re-add those listeners more than once. they could be added in your if(!lives) conditional.
the next (and probably most important) error is your removeChild(background1) statement which fails to remove enem1. so, when you re-enter that frame you have an enem1 on-stage that you can't kill and can't even reference. remove it when you remove the background1.

Using parameters in a select query sometimes not working

I use parameters throughout my code - usually without problem, but for some reason in one case it does not return a result. When I modify the querystring to contain the value instead of using parameters it works. Is it because I'm secting a clob? or is it because I'm using a 9i ODP.net dll against a 10g database? this is c# 2.0
here's the source code that does not work for me - REQUEST_DATA is a clob:

I figured it out. thank you for your help in pointing me in the right direction.
the problem was there was a trailing space in the data.
when the data for that table is numeric for every record, the query allows me to leave out the single quotes. Trailing spaces do not seem to cause the database to see it as non-numeric - leaving out the quote still finds the record even if there is a trailing space.
but when I put in the quote, it is not an exact string match, so it could not find the record. sometimes this flexibility gets me into trouble :\

Make a backup with iTunes, then restore the iPhone as a new device. Test if everything is working, then restore your data from the backup.

My Speakers sometimes not working

Hi, i purchased HPPavilion G6 laptop just 5-6 months back and since that time I am facing non-recurring problem with Audio whenever I use to play something online or using multimedia softwares. But I am unable to check reason for this as it's sometimes working perfectly and sometimes it doesn't and i usually restart and when relog-in it works!
Does anyone knows reason? As I have already checked it's drivers are working perfectly.

I understand you are having issue with the speakers not working all the time. I was wondering if the next time it happens see if you can play music. Some sites do have issues with sound. If you have checked your drivers and all is well, I think it is with the sites. Here is a link on tips for fixing common sound problems.

Wireless sometimes not working after resume

After resuming from lid close hibernation wireless sometimes does not work.
Using Windows 7 64-bit
Intel 5100AGN driver 13.1.1.1
1. Have an active internet connection
2. Suspend closing the lid
3. Resume by opening the lid
4. Login
Result: Wireless has connection problems, cannot reconnect
Expected: Automatic fast reconnect
5. Deactivate the adapter and enable in again, or run troubleshooting which resets the adapter
6. Reconnect
How to fix that I have to reset the adapter or deactivate/enable it again?

right click my computer > manage > device management > network adapters > find your wireless adapter > double click > on power management tab, make sure "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" unchecked

Persistant routes sometimes not working

This is the situation
We have a MSSQL cluster of 2 servers the SQL03A and SQL03B windows 2008 R2 enterprise on vmware 5.5
There are 2 persistant routes, they are for the backup:
10.64.67.171 255.255.255.255 10.37.4.30
10.64.67.169 255.255.255.255 10.37.4.29
Sometimes , one?s a month, the persistant route does not work and the backup wil not work.
We delete the persistant route and we make the persistant route again, than it wil work again.
What could be the problem?

You need to use root print to list the available routes. When the problem gets reproduced again, please run it to see what are the available routes.

Middle click sometimes not working

Sometimes, the middle click does not work. It has just started happening. I open up xev and spam middle click and it shows up for a while, and then stops showing up. It keeps on repeating this pattern.
