I think you have to turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
If nothing above helped, restart your router.
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • I can get my email from the iCloud website, but my password won't work on my home computer to receive and send email

When I open my email on my home computer, I can't receive or send email that is @mac based. I get a message that my passwork is invalid.  When I go to the iCloud website, my password works just fine.  Any clues?

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

  • Problem using iPad to receive and send emails when not at home

I am unable to send or receive emails from any outside wifi location like Tesco / ikea but once home there is not a problem. Messages reads "Server unable to respond" I was wondering if it is a security issue ?

    Greetings
I suspect that the issue is the SMTP server settings. On your home network you are using your providers SMTP server and all is fine (If you check your email account configs you will find that the SMTP server is set to your providers?).
When you use a different network (provider) mail will not be sent unless you use that networks (providers) SMTP server (this is a security issue to address ways of "spamming").
So if youre 3G/4G provider is the same as you home provider all will work well via your home WiFi. If you turn off WiFi and just use your 3G/4G connection to send mail (iPhone/iPad etc) all will work well (when you are out and about and using anothers WiFi network).
If you are connected to, say a MacDonalds WiFi, mail will probably not be sent. (It will be received though).
Using WEB mail interface (via your WEB browser) removes this problem as well.
(A SMTP server is what is used to send email. So to successfully use anothers (not a networks the same as your providers) WiFi network and send email via it, you must know the SMTP servers name and reconfigure your email account/s to use that server to send mail.)

  • Different color of Receive and send email in a thread

    Hi,
I have upgraded to Mac OS 10.10.
In Mail app, the background color of Receive and Sent email now is the same in a thread. Previously in 10.9, Sent email will have a dark color background.
Is there any way I can configure to have the same way in previous version? It's esier to distinguish Receive mail from Sent mail.
    Thanks
    Khuong

Hope this link deals with your exact requirement.!!

  • Issues receiving and sending email

I am havng major issues with email. Here's is what has happened and what I have done:
    1. The account is with Roger ISP in Canada, which uses Yahoo for it's email. I am running Mac OS X Lion (cannot update to Mountain Lion machine is not compatible.) Everything on the machine is up-to-date software, security updates, etc.
    2. Mail began by rejecting the password for the main email account (I have 3 email accounts with the ISP). I could not receive email. When using web based mail everything was fine.
    3. I decided to change the password. This needed to be done anyway, so I set a new password. Email worked briefly, then went back to rejecting the password.
    4. After researching forums I read that the best way to fix this was to remove the email account and then add it back in. After archiving old mail I removed the account and added it back in. Mail's auto-configure settings saw this as an IMAP account (unusual as it's always been POP) but I thought it would know best and let it set up as IMAP. The account worked fine for a day or two and then started rejecting the password again.
    5. I once agin deleted the account and this time set it up without auto-config using the POP settings supplied by the ISP. These have not worked at all. The password has been rejected since setting it up. Again, web based email works fine.
    6. The two other email addresses on this account have been fine (sending/receiving) until today. One of the addresses received a message "The sender email address XXXX was rejected by the server".
    7. I have read that these password issues are common with Yahoo related email accounts and that they usually resolve themselves. This has happened briefly in the past and that was indeed the case. This time however it is weeks into this issue.
    8. I have not yet contacted the ISP - they are notorious for their lack of support and frankly I'm usually better at fixing these issues myself (or with community support).
If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
It is likely that some setting has been accidentally changed on your BB by someone. Websites can be coded to perform better with some browsers rather than others. The BB Browser can appear to websites as several different things...that setting is, from within the Browser App, (BBKey > Options > Browser Configuration > Browser Identification). Changing that to another browser might help your BB interact better with some websites. In combination with all of the other configuration settings, you need to find the combination of all of these settings that works best for the sites you are visiting. Sadly, there is no "best advice" to give as each persons needs are different. But, I typically find that changing the Browser Identification often helps -- most often by changing to FF or IE (if those are available to you...the options vary by carrier).
    Good luck!
In addition to that, I would just add that there are 3rd party browsers that I find are much better for most browsing on the blackberry. Try Opera or Bolt...both render pages very well and compress the data so that it loads faster on your phone.

  • N97mini email app does not receive and send emails

I have installed Nokia email app (build 10.2.0.26 (main)) onto my N97mini. I have setup it up to fetch emails from my gmail and yahoo mail accounts. I also added gadgets to my screen so that I can view incoming emails. It worked before. But now, it stops fetching emails. When I go options->tools->connection info, it always shows offline mode.
I use several wifi network between home and school. Other app like opera works fine. I can use opera to access my gmail. When I do options->Send/receive, nothing happen. The icon on the top of the email screen is always a circule with a slash. So it means offline mode. I suppose when I click Send/receive it should go online to check emails. But it does not. Very few times, it goes online and checks email by itself. But I have no idea what triggers that.
    The setting is:
what to sync [Inbox] = sync enabled
    when to sync [days] = 7 days; [hours] = on all day; [disable sync when] = battery at 15%; [Send and receive] = soonest;
Please advice what do I miss here?

now my one account works perfectly without any additional changes, but my other one works not.
it shows that my password or username is wrong then i deleted it, created it new. after typing password and username 10 times right it worked. i got my emails and one minute later the same problem again...
i really do not understand the problem... i use the same preferences for the other account and it works, and everything worked untill yesterday. seems like it works if the iphone just wants to.
i am feeling like using windows
my provider is gmx. pop account information with my adress and name, server for incomming emails: hostname is pop.gmx.net username and password are correct.
    thank you.

  • How do i add a device to receive and send email

just got a new phone and want to receive emails on this new device

You must configure the email application on the phone by adding your accounts to it. It will then connect to the email servers in its own right; it doesn't need any help or assistance from Thunderbird.
The only adjustment I can think of that relates to Thunderbird is to see if the account uses (or can use) IMAP, because this is much better suited to working with email through several devices than the older POP.
If Thunderbird connects to the server using POP, it may "eat" the messages before the phone gets to see them. And likewise if the phone uses POP (but it's unusual to use POP on a smartphone.)
Both phone and Thunderbird should use IMAP to ensure greatest visibility of messages and consistency in what you see.
