I've definitely paid for it and am hoping Adobe has a record of my having bought it.

Accidentally deleted CC, now I can't download creative cloud or app manager

I foolishly deleted my cc instead of uninstalling it and now when I go to install cc I get an error saying that I have to download the app manager first. When downloading the app manager I get an error that links me to "adobe's supervisor program" which then says the app has been disconnected. So I followed the troubleshooting instructions to uninstall cc but when I click on the uninstall I get an error saying that I must download the app manager in order to uninstall but I cannot download the app manager.

Those were actually the troubleshooting instructions that I had been looking at. The "Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud" (step2) is an alias on my computer because I accidentally deleted it. I tried to use the "Uninstall Adobe After Effects CC" one that was not an alias which said I needed the application manager to do so, which I am also not able to download and get the error message linking me to adobe's supervisor program which has been disconnected apparently.

To uninstall PE12 on a MAC, can I just drag the PE12.app to the trash?
No! That will give you no end of trouble and will not fix anything. If you ever do need to uninstall you MUST use the uninstaller in applications>adobe photoshop Elements 12.
Go to your username>library>preferences and delete the following:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 settings
com.adobe.Elements Organizer.12.0.plist
com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer.12.plist
and any lockfiles with the same names. That library is hidden. To see it, option click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account.
While you're in there go to the saved application states folder and delete any pertaining to PSE. Y
Repair permissions and try again. You will need to select your catalog on first opening organizer.

There are advantages of using the direct download and installing over what is installed. It is the way I have been able to back out a buggy Adobe CC update. You do not need to backup yous system first and remove all of Adobe's software and clean your system of residual Adobe rat droppings. Downloading is not part of the installation for you have downloaded. You also now have your own copy of the install should you have problems in the future to re-install with. When you do install your activation is still intact and all that you have added to Photoshop is still there and functional and does not need to be re-installed. You do need to use menu Help>Updates to update CC for the install install CC version 14.0 The normal install will most likely do the same and need to be updated. Don't know for sure I only installed CC that way the first time I installed CC. The other two Installs I did were from the direct install. One was to back out Adobe bad CC update. You can also download all the CC updates and selectively install the ones you need. It took Adobe a month to fix their bad CC update. The other install I had to do was to recover some CC file that became corrupt which caused some other CC update to fail to install. After the re-install the update installed without a problem. You need Adobe camera raw version 8.7. Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

If they're still available there, save the downloads this time, don't just run them, since adobe only makes those available for about 3 years.

Only by reinstalling OS X.
Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to resinatll OS X. It will take some time. None of you data, etc., will be erased (although it's always a good idea to have a backup).

I do agree that should not have to be a consideration for any users so i agree that it would be great if Apple could allow simplicity to run seemlessly.
I have had this problem since Homepage, and here is
what has worked for me. I send out the link, and
then for PC users I send the link with "<" after the address (without quotation
marks. e.g., <http://site.com>).
I also put a note that if that doesn't work, to just
copy and paste the link into a browser. With that I
have only had 1 person say they still can't open.
Everyone else gets it to work.
It's a lot to do and seems like a hassle, but you get
used to it.
