I accidentally downloaded Adobe Flash CS4 two times, is that ok?

I accidentally downloaded Adobe flash twice and not sure if it is duplicated in my system or if it is only there once?  Is there something within the program that prevents from it duplicating?  It looked like it went through the same entire download to 100% on each account.  When I look in my applications (I have a MAC computer), i only see one copy of it, but I don't know why it allowed me to download it two full times if theres only one copy?  Help with this would be appreciated!!!
Elizabeth

A description of the actual problem and the system information that Pat referenced above would be tremendously helpful in providing you some useful feedback.

    Hello Walter,
that's it, usually you get and Adobe Flash Player Installer only.  For a distribution in a company, or an installation on a PC without internet access, Adobe has available an offline installer. This installer you don't need to uncompress it first. You can download the installation file from there (you must logged in with your Adobe ID): http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

  • HT5655 I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player several times still have the problem

I am still having problems after downloading Adobe Flash Several Time     They keep asking me to download

Who's "they?" Where have you been getting Flash from? Only get it from these two:

Dumb question maybe, but downloading is not the same as installing. Have you installed it after downloading? You need to double-click the dmg.

    Hi albinaaa,
Thank you for confirming the drivers are up to date.  I apologize for the confusion in terminology.  We refer to the installer downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer as the online installer because it is simply an installer shim, less than 2MB that then downloads and installs Flash Player silently.  This requires users to be 'online' for the installation process to work.  What we refer to as the offline installers are the full installers (roughly 15 - 18 MB) that you download and then install Flash Player, which does not require an internet connection as nothing is downloaded silently in the background during installation.
As I mentioned before, we have received these reports of the online installer displaying without text, however, we have not been able to reproduce, and therefore, the reason I asked you to try the offline installer, since we have not received these reports with the offline installer.

  • Adobe Flash CS4

Hi, whenever i try to download adobe flash cs4 it says thati need to close the following applicstions before contiuning, internet explorer, nothing expcept the setup is running, plus i dont even use internet explorer anymor, any help?

There are some applications that rely entirely on Internet Explorer to function. I would recommend shutting down anything that is currently running, even if it isn't Internet Explorer.
Also, if that doesn't work, then try killing the Internet Explorer process via the Task Manager.

  • Adobe Flash CS4 installation

I am trying to install Adobe Flash CS4. Is Adobe Flash CS4 same as Adobe Flash Player or different ?
I want to create a slide show of images and for that purpose, I am downloading Adobe Flash CS4. Is that the correct product to download or do I need something else ?
After downloading Adobe Flash CS4, when I try to install the trial version of Adobe Flash CS4, the setup window is asking for a serial number. How to get serial number for the trial version ? I checked my email, its not provided to me ? When I click next, I get an error message asking me to provide serial number.
Please guide me on how to obtain serial number for the trial version or how install without serial number.
    thanks.

Flash and Flash Player are not the same thing. This is explained in the Flash Player FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/faq/ .
Flash will be able to do what you need, though you'll have to learn it obviously.
The trial version should be launchable as a 30-day trial and shouldn't require a serial number.  The customer service side of the house deals with trial issues. You can contact them (i think via phone or web case) and they should be able to help..   take a look at http://www.adobe.com/support/service/

  • I cannot view videos and have downloated Adobe Flash Player several times.

I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player several times and still cannot view videos.  I get the error message "you do not have Adobe Flash Player" and the screen for me to download it.  Please help.

    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component.  When done, restart Internet Explorer.
    Regards,
    DP-K

    Hi..
Assuming you are using Safari ...
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
