i accidentally erased numbers. How can I restore it?

    Depends which version.
Numbers 3: Go to your Mac app store account, click on Purchases, download and install again.
Numbers '09 (boxed retail iWork package): Reisntall from install disk. Use Softwre update to check for and install updates.
Numbers '09 (download): Might be difficult, as this version is no longer available from Apple. Check your app store account. You may have to locate and purchase a retail version from a reseller.

  • HT201250 What happened if a new backup has erased the previous one, can I still recover my files?

What happened if a new backup has erased the previous one, can I still recover my files?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Time Machine doesn't erase old backups. That's only done when your Time Machine disk or Time Capsule gets full.
If you want to mean that you have connected the Time Capsule to another Mac to create another Time Machine backup, you should know that the old backup isn't modified, and you can still restore files from that old backup > http://pondini.org/TM/E3.html

  • I have i tunes match can i use it on 2 i phones using just 1 i tunes library

Yes. You can use iTunes Match on up to 10 "devices." Do not confuse this with iTunes authorizations which are limited to 5 computers.

  • Erased my time machine, can it be recovered

OK, spent all day upgrading all of my Mac stuff. Erased my time machine thinking it was another drive, Yea I know but it was late. I figured no big deal I will just back it up tomorrow, then my house got broken into and they took my computer. So how messed up am I, can anyone or anything help?

When you erase a drive in the usual way, only the Directory blocks are cleared. (that is why it only takes a few seconds.) The blocks that hold the actual files are unchanged. The data are still sitting there, PROVIDED you did not anything (or not much anyway) much onto the erased drive. Actually writing over every block on a a large drive (such as writing Zeroes) can take half-a-day), and then it is absolutely not recoverable by mere mortals.
Utilities like Data Rescue can retrieve such stuff, but probably NOT the filenames. In addition, a Boot drive or a backup has over 350,000 files representing Mac OS X on it. Data Rescue requires a different drive onto which to recover files -- it will not recover-in-place. And only if you can also recover the BackupDB files (the Time Machine Database) will you be able to have any hope of restoring any of it.

  • HT4913 It says that when I turn on I tunes match that it will erase the music library on my iOS devise and replaced by what is in the cloud. But I have imported a lot of cd's into my iOS devise and don't want to loose those songs and I don't want them del

I Had to reinstall windows on my computer. I made sure all my songs etc were on my iPods/iPad. Now when I plug the iPod in it says (in iTunes Match) that my music library will be deleted and replaced by what is in the cloud. However I don't want those songs erased. I want them to go up to the I tunes match cloud.
so that I can down load them again.
also how do I get I tunes match to remember my playlists? It only has album etc.
thank you so very much. I appreciate any help.

  • I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't.  You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

    Hi,
You will no longer be able to sync manually with match. I would suggest that you wait until match has competed its process on your computer and that you are told how many tracks are in the cloud.
If you activate match on your iOS device too soon, you may find that all your tracks are not there. Ps it is not just artwork that is being uploaded, it's music as well.

  • HT4759 on a pc running windows 7, whenever i try to add my computer to i tunes match, it causes i tunes to crash.  I have the latest i tunes software version, how can i fix this?

when i try to add my windows 7 pc to i tunes match, it causes i tunes to crash.  I know someone else has had this problem, please tell me how to fix it. I do have the latest version of i tunes software too.

You can authorise your account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of the iTunes screen - if you have iTunes11 then control-B should get the menus to show.

  • I have a iPad were I have opened I tunes match ect linked to my pc I have since found my old ipod classic which I have loads of music on but that was all linked to a mac which I don't have anymore, is there anyway I can sync them both

I have a iPad were I have opened I tunes match ect linked to my pc I have since found my old ipod classic which I have loads of music on but that was all linked to a mac which I don't have anymore, is there anyway I can sync them both without loosing my music, if I plug my ipod into PC it won't read it

You need to transfer the music from your iPod on to your iTunes library on your PC, since that is where you are currently syncing and where you are signed into iTunes Match.  It doesn't matter that you were previously syncing it with a Mac, and you won't need to reinstall iTunes on your PC.  But you will have to use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer any music not purchased from the iTunes store from your iPod to your iTunes library.  Here's another guide on this, which is shoter and you may find easier to follow: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive.  Also, if you're using iTunes 11, go to View>Show Sidebar.  This will make it easier to follow along with these guides.

  • HELP!! I accidentally erased everything on my hard drive!! How can I get my macbook to work again?

    I need help...
I accidentally erased everything on my harddrive, don't ask me how I have no idea....
When I start my computer all I get is a blinking folder.... From what I see on internet this is bad news.... Can I use the DVDs that came with my macbook (late 2008) to restore it? I do not need to keep any files on the computer and would like to have a clean start and have a back-up (not using time capsule restore thingy) of the files I would like to put back (mainly photos and documents).
    What can I do?

If you can boot from the install DVD, you can look at the disk from there and see if everything is truely gone.
If it is you can reinstall again from the install DVD.
If you have a backup you can restore your files from there.

  • I accidentally erased music somehow from my itunes library, how can i get it back?

i accidentally erased music somehow from my itunes library, how can i get it back?  I'm not sure how I did it, but I do know something has been wierd ever since.  i remember using it and arranging songs, and then, bing!  Songs were missing.  Please help!
Not quite sure what info you need to answer this.   I dont have all my music synced to icloud unfortunately...at least not that i'm aware of.

You either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here.  If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries.  Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer.  You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple.  On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application.  So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer.

I have the Mac OSX and I accidentally erased iPhoto, how can I reinstall it?

Either redownload it from the Mac App Store or reinstall it from your iLife DVD or if it came pre-installed you can reinstall from the original discs that came with the computer.
