I accidentally erased my Sync server info by changing my Sync Key, can I request to restore a server's back-up of my bookmarks?

When I automatically upgraded to FF4.0, beta 8, my Sync stopped working. Having trouble connecting, I accidentally change my Sync Key which I understand erased all my server info. I can link now and see all my History, but I have lost my Bookmarks. Can they be restored from a server back-up?

The outgoing mail server should be smtp.aol.com. This is the correct server setting. Try using another server under Other Server. Turn the Primary Server Off and use another server under Other SMTP Servers.

I accidentally erased my segate external hard drive out of finder, and I do not know how to get it back!

I was playing around with finder this evening and I dragged 'segate' out from under devices to my desktop and it popped and made the trash sound. It is not in my trash bin and I unplugged the hard drive and plugged it back in again and still does not show up on finder.I can no longer back up my files because it wont read the segate but still pops up in disk utility. How do I add it back to finder?

Correct. The ipod touch/ipad/iphone will sycn with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup to put everything on the new computer, then sync.

Can't see files/folders on server from windows

i'm not sure if this is related to the ACL issue (not being properly honored in Samba on Leopard), but i'll explain my problem and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction
i've set up file sharing with my server on several Macs and a couple of PCs without a problem, but on one PC, when i connect to the server, i can't see any folders at all on the server in the Explorer window. i also can't move files to the server as it tells me i don't have permissions. i am certain this is set up the same as the other PCs and ensured that the Windows user has file sharing enabled on my server.
please note that i'm fairly new to setting up a server so not too much jargon please!

The problem may be how the CD was formatted. Macs support ISO-9660 better than any other crossplatform format.

I have an iMac 8-1 with OS is Mac OS X, version 10.7, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, and 3 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory.
When I try to update software I get this error message:

Software Update can’t connect to the update server. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, and then try again.
I don't know how to "connect to the update server" but I guarantee that I AM connected to the internet!

Not quite sure what info you need to answer this. I dont have all my music synced to icloud unfortunately...at least not that i'm aware of.

You either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here. If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries. Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer. You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple. On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application. So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer.

Accidentally erased cFP2020 module software: No Communication.

I accidentally erased the software in one of my cFP modules in my network. After that, for obvious reasons, I lost communications with the module, so I can not reinstall the software. Is there a way to make this module talk? The status LED is blinking. Why do they give the option to "Erase all software" if you are going to have problems later? I though it was a way to clean up and do a fresh install of the software. HELP!

Yesterday, when I did erase the software it did not show in MAX, no matter how hard I tried. I tried to do a direct connection with a cross cable, but I was not certain about the IP (Thanks for the info (0.0.0.0)!). Anyway, A few minutes ago, I connected it back to the network and it showed and I was able to put the software back, so now it is working fine now. I spoke to the IT and he told me that they are doing some network upgrades and I might have erased the software at the worst time (It was 6:00PM). The only problem I am having now is getting the module's web server to start. It had older version software ( I am working in 7.1 because it is the Developer Suite I have). Now when I try to connect via RT, it tells me "LabView RT Communication protocol Mismatch". The de DCS engine and the database is working fine and collecting data. I have installed LV 8.0, 8.2, and 8.5. Maybe some of the drivers got messed up because of the installs. Any hints? Thanks!

When I try to connect to itunes, It states ''The sim card of this phone is PIN locked - please enter the PIN code of your SIM card and connect again to iTunes" however I don't have the option to enter the Pin code on my phone as on my phone screen it states "your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporaily unavailable"

Are these PDF files you are trying to open in the Safari browser? Or something else?

I have accidentally erased my iPhone 3 contacts when I innocently toggled the on switch to off. I assumed the information would be stored in iCloud, and would continue to mirror the identical information that is on my iPad2. How do I retrieve contacts?

I have accidentally erased my iPhone 3 Contacts when I toggled to OFF and thught the data was saved in iCloud. The contacts are already duplicated on my iPad2, and if I could send them to my iPhone3, then I could reclaim them all.

If you turned contact sync off, you'll have to turn it back on to sync it back to the phone.
It's extremely unclear what you did where.
Do the contacts still exist in iCloud?

I accidentally erased my Sync server info by changing my Sync Key, can I request to restore a server's back-up of my bookmarks?
