don't ask how i got the url w/out a toolbar :( it was hard

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the ''Alt'' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

To save space on iCloud, I got rid of my Photos app. How do I get it back? I am using Mavericks OS.

This is nothing to do wth iCloud, you deleted part of the OS X system files/apps, you need to reinstall to get it back.
In future DO NOT delete any of the apps that come with OS X.

  • TS1424 I rented a movie and accidentally started it.  It says I have 23 hours to watch.  Is there any way to correct this and just keep it in my library and have the month to watch it.

I rented a movie and downloaded it to my Ipad2.  I accidentally hit the start.  I soon found out that have 23 hours to watch it rather than store it for the month.  Is there a way to correct this?

  • I accidentally deleted my options toolbar and can't get it back.

I was trying to delete a different toolbar but accidentally clicked on the options toolbar and I can't get it back. Please help!

    There isn't an Options Toolbar.
To get the menu bar back if its missing, try pressing '''Alt''', then '''V T M''', on at a time, in that order, in a new tab.
Then View -> Toolbars to find an enable the Menu, Navigation, and Bookmarks Toolbars.
If that doesn't work try using [[Safe Mode]] to reset toolbars and controls, from the dialog shown here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode#Safe_Mode_window

  • HT201250 I accidentally excluded the disk in time machine and need to bring it back

I got a new hard drive. Time machine wasn't registering it. Realized I needed to install the new External Harddrive software and did. Opened time machine back up and it would never let me choose the new disk (External Hard Drive) so I excluded it from time machine thinking I can "Include" it again to get time machine to register and allow me to choose it. Now Im stuck with a new hard drive and no way to use it. How can I get it back so I can use it!!!!????

It should be in your TC backup.  If not, you will need to Reinstall OS X
Note that with Mavericks, you need to go to: /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Network Utility.app
(You can drag to your Dock, or make this an alias)

  • HELP-i got a MuVo for x-mas and need help puting songs on i

i've read all the directions, but i'm still not sure how this works. here's what i've done, i plug in the mp3 and it brings up the removable disk file, i open it using windows explorer and the removable disk file has 2 folders, one folder is empty and it is 'encoded tracks' and the other folder is 'rancid' and that one isnt empty (rancid is a band), next i go to the creative mediasource/mp3 recorder/musicplayer thingy and i've dragged and dropped all the tracks i want into the little square in the bottom left, then i click record and it looks like its recording but after i unplug it, the mp3 says that there is nothing on it (i always make sure i unplug safely using the icon on the bottom of the screen) if anyone knows what the problem is or if i'm doing anything wrong PLEASE let me know as soon as possible (i've alreaqdy installed everything with the disc)
    P.S
my computer is an hp pavillion

We used the software that came with the MuVo N200 ... "Creative Media Source Organizer/Player". If you don't have an N200, your software might be different. The "root" is the "top level" ...when you look at your player through Windows (and you see something like E: Removable Media), that would be the "root". If you then create a folder in it, that would be the "first level".
My husband first connected the MuVo to the USB port, then started up the program "Creative Media Source Organizer". In the left-hand pane, he could see the MuVo listed as something like "E: MuVo N200". He highlighted that, then clicked on the "New" icon at the top of the screen to create a folder and he named the folder "bwm".
Then he put the CD he wanted to copy into the CD dri've of his pc, and a listing of tracks on the CD came up in the program. He then highlighted all of the tracks that were listed and then "dragged" them over to the folder. (You could also copy them one at a time.)
As I said earlier, this then created a folder named "_Unknown" in the folder he created, and the "_Unknown" folder contained all of the tracks. So he then moved all of the tracks in the "_Unknown" folder to his "bwm" folder, then deleted the "_Unknown" folder.
Again ... this was all with the software that was provided on the installation CD that came with the MuVo N200 ... and he is running Windows 2000.
Also: his first attempts at recording from the CD to the MuVo got all screwed up (before we really figured out what to do) ... so we also ended up formatting the player before doing everything that is described above. In Windows 2000, to format the player, we could just connect it with the USB cable to get an "E: Removable Media" icon under "My Computer", then right click on it and select "Format". We used the format "FAT".
I hope this helps ... not sure what else I can tell you.

  • Accidentally deleted a sample folder from my trash and need to get it back

Hi there i was wondering if there is any one that can offer some sort of assistance with this problem. I tried to free up some space on my hardrive and inadvertently deleted a folder of samples that are pretty precious to me, and as i am working on a remix at this moment, it has put me in a bit of a pickle.
I have tried using various 3rd party software such as "Stellar Phoenix" and "Data Rescue" both of which do not support rx2 files(rex) unless i provide the hexidecimal info, and when they give me my results there is no way to specify which files i am looking for nor do they make it simple to just recover one folder which in this case is all i am looking for.
Is there any way i can just simply recall this folder? or have i just ruined my career with a click?
From this moment on i shall be using time machine so no need to elaborate on that.
I have leopard.8 and a MacBook (white) if that helps and the file types are aup/aiff/wave/rx2 and patches for synths/fx units and such from Reason.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am almost at my wits end.
    Thanks in advance.

    Basics of File Recovery
    Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
    General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten with recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • I accidentally over-wrote a NOTES file when update it from my iPhone.  Is there a way to recover this previous version of the file from iCloud or TimeMachine backups?

I ther as way to recove a NOTES files that has been recently over-written?

If you synchronize Notes with iCloud, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the box marked Notes. If you sync Notes with another mail service, disable that in the Internet Accounts or Mail, Contacts & Calendars preference pane. You may be warned that notes stored on the server will be deleted. If you trust your backups, confirm. Leave the window open.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.apple.Notes" selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash, then restore it from a backup that predates the unwanted change. If you back up with Time Machine, enter it and select the snapshot from which you want to restore.
Log out or restart and empty the Trash.
Re-enable synchronization in System Preferences, if you disabled it.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • I accidentally got rid of the folder 'downloads'

I accidentally got rid of the folder 'downloads', it isn't in Trash anymore nor in Time Machine (removed it before I had Time Machine), how do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted the Downloads icon from the Dock.  Then trying to drag Downloads from the home folder to the Dock, I accidently put it in the Trash and it disapeared from the home folder.  The machine says find it in the Trash folder and drag it down to the Dock.  But I can't find it in the Trash either.  What should I do to restore it?
