No, this will not harm the battery at all.

  • How can I sync my iPad 2 with my new MacBook Pro when it is already synced with my old MacBook? I am getting a message on the new MacBook Pro that says I am not allowed to sync the iPad 2 because it is synced to another iTunes library.

    1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.
above works for purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.

I bought in 14 january 2014 and the expiration said it will be in 5 september 2014
Is it mean that my ipad had been activated in 5 sept las year?
But the packaging is good and it looks like very new.
    Please help me....
I bought in IT plaza in kuala lumpur, malaysia..

The merchant told me it is new. And when they opened the box and turn the ipad on, the ipad asked me to activate first.
Is the 'restore to factory setting' can make us must activate the ipad again??

  • I just downloaded the IOS 6 update on my iPad 2, and it deleted my youtube app that was already installed when I got the iPad. I want it back.

Okay, I just downloaded IOS 6 on my iPad 2, and it deleted the youtube app that was already installed when I got the iPad, I downloaded the new app from the apple store and it doesn't fit my screen, this is ******* me off and I would like it back.

Here is the thing the actual license for Apple to have a native YouTube app has expired you must understand this more about Apple removing Google from its ecosystem and less about actual licenses.  If Apple was so inclined I am almost certain they could have continued to provide a native YouTube app.
Do you really think that Apple Maps are "better" for iOS users?  You know that you can set your default search to another provider such as Bing?  Imagine Apple changing its default Safari search to Bing.  You must understand that Google makes more from searches on iOS devices than it does on everyting that is Andriod (source:http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-earns-four-times-more-from-ios-than-a ndroid/).  Apple is slowly and meticulously working on freeing iOS of Google products.
Of course it is a free market and Apple will most certainly allow Google's apps on their app store.

  • I left my ipad to charge when it was almost 5% for about 7 hours it stops at 95%. is there problem with my mini ipad i just bought 3 days ago

i purposely allow my ipad to drain to almost 5% and wanted to give it a full charge for about 7 hours. it stops at 95% ; i unplug and reconnect it again the battery indicator shows that it is charging again. should i change my new min ipad from singtel?i just bought this 3 days ago. really feeling regret already. The mini ipad is pretty slow to download apps although i am using broadband wifi

I responded to your first post and assumed that you didn't have a computer. If I was wrong, I apologize for misreading your question.
Did you totally erase the device and not restore from a backup? If you totally erased the device and set up as new, the passcode should not be on the device.

  • I left my ipad on charge all night and when i took it off it was very hot and wont turn on how do i fix it?

please help me and tell me how to fix myipad

Have you tried a reboot - hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if that appears?
If that does not work, take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check to see if the battery is damaged.

  • Left my Ipad in the car.....It was COLD

I worked Friday, February 1 from 7:30-6:30. My Ipad was in the car the entire time. It won't come on right now. I have had it charging since last night. Have I completely destroyed it?
    Please Help me!!!!

Since it has been at room temperature all night long while charging, try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • HT4623 Why is it that if I synch my iPad and with my laptop the ipad still has to download purchased content although it was already downloaded to the PC?

Why is it that when I synch my iPad with itunes, the purchased content still (especially music and movies) have again to download on the iPad eventhough the content has been downloaded to itunes already?

But where are you seeing evidence of that? Explain what makes you think that they are being downloaded from iCloud? Do you see a cloud icon next to the music and movies on the iPad? That simply means that they are available in iCloud for you to download without having to go to the purchased tabs of the stores on your device if you want to download them again.
You can turn that off in Settings>iTunes and App Store>Show All>Videos>Off and Music>Off.

  • Is there any way to get an ipad game for free when it was already paid for for ipod?

I was just wondering if a person can upgrade their ipod games for free to play on the ipad.

    No.
If the app is universal ( work on ipad, iphone and ipod) then you can sync it to both devices.  This is noted by the "+"
Otherwise you would have to buy both versions.

WAit wait wait!look I know I'm still a beginner in apple products an you got much more experience from me but it'd it really stop charging when it hits 100%100 why there is still the charging thing like its still charging?i mean if it really stopped why there is still that charge "logo"in the battery?how did the ipad knows that its still pluged in if it really stopped charging?

  • Why won't my iPad 2 charge above 50%?

I recieved my iPad 2 as a gift in October of 2011. Up until now I've had no problems. Yesterday I had depleted my battery to about 7%, so I plugged it in for at least 4 hours while I went for a walk. When I came back the gauge said only 50%. I used it again and ran it to about 15% and plugged it in overnight; this morning it still says only 50%. The icon is showing that the battery is charging, but it's still depleting as I use it. Tried shutting down and restarting; still losing battery. I even tried shutting down all my apps (except Safari so I can research this); same thing. Any suggestions? The nearest Apple store is nearly 300 miles away, thankfully I'll be heading in that direction soon if I can't resolve this on my own.

Are you using the wall charger?
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • IPAD wont charge to 100% in one shot

I never noticed this when I got the ipad but it seems like the past 3 for months I have had this issue.
I bought my Ipad new from an Apple store in Sept 2012 so I think it is an IPAD 2.
Using the charger provided .. if my battery is at 15% I will plug it in and go to bed.
The next morning I wake up and it is at 68%.. or 71%.. sometimes 80% and "Not Charging"
I unplug it and plug it back in and I can get to 90% .. then . "Not Charging"
Unplug it again and check back and 100% Not Charging.
I think when I got it it would just go up to 100% overnight .. I dont remember seeing the Not Charging even at 100%
I have not tried a new power supply because they are pretty expensive for something I might not actually need.
    Thoughts?

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. The charger is still covered by Apple's 1-year warranty. If defective, you'll get a free replacement

However, you might first recalibrate your battery. See link below.

When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

  • IPad 3 charging issue... not your normal USB complaint.

So I took the plunge into iPad world and got the 64 gig  Verizon 4g version.  The night I got it ( Tuesday ) after playing with it for a while, I tried to plug it in overnight to charge it with the AC adapter.   It wouldn't give me the charging acknowledgment on screen in the first two wall outlets I tried, finally plugged it into a surge protector and it worked.  This being my first iPad I thought maybe it was being finicky about the power.    Faster forward to this morning, I forgot to plug it in overnight, and tried every outlet and surge protector in the house, to no avail.    I plugged it in using the same cord minus the AC adapter to my PC and got the "Not charging " Message.   ONLY after doing this was I able to get this thing to start charging using the AC adapter.
So my question is this....  Is this normal?    I really don't want to have some modified OCD dance everytime I need to charge this **** thing.
Is it the iPad itself acting up, which I suspect, or the USB to AC 10w adapter?
Again, first time owner so be gentle.

Sometime the iPad will not indicate it's charging, when using the AC adapter, for the first 15-20 minutes.
