I accidentally restored my iPad, how do I get my pictures back that were on my iPad?
help!
I was on my ipad, and I went to the app,"find my ipod". i was playing around with it a little, and I realized i didnt want the settings i made anymore. So i went to erase my ipad, thinking it would erase the account i just made for that app. Instead, it erased everything on my ipad. I have all my apps and music on my computer, thanks to icloud. But i went to find my pictures, none were to be found. The settings in icloud were sent to where they were backed up evertime i plugged in my computer, which i was recently, so i should have my pictures. I am freaking out over this, i had hundreds of important pictures on there! if anyone could help it would be much appreciated!
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

No. When the device is reset the memory is cleared. Lesson learned. Backup your device and copy the pictures off the device.

This might happen if you were previously using the Google Toolbar add-on to store your bookmarks. Google has [http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html discontinued the Google Toolbar add-on] and it is not available for newer versions of Firefox.
If this is the cause of the problem, then you can still access your Google Bookmarks at [http://www.google.com/bookmarks google.com/bookmarks], or you can install one of the add-ons listed here: [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars Using Google Toolbar features without toolbars].

I wanted to put some music on my ipod. After removing my ipod from the computer, i checked the pictures. I saw i lost my 400 pictures, which i made in vietnam. Is there any way i can recover the pictures. I already tried restoring the pictures. All thensetting were the same, but my pictures didn't show up.
I am using iTunes for windows (version 10.5) and my ipod is version 5.1.1

So the contacts were synced to the computer you no longer have? You could use a free app like MCBackup and email the contacts from the ipad to yourself and open the email on your phone and then import the contacts from the email to the phone

IPhone stopped restoring pictures from backup. How do I get my pictures back?
I got a backup done at the apple store because my camera of my iphone 5 (iOS 7) was broken and they didn't want my pictures to get lost. Since then it was trying to restore but it never fully did more than 2/3 of my pictures never restored. Even with good wifi it wouldn't work and now it just stopped and I still can't find my pictures and videos anywhere. How do I get my pictures back?

I have restored my new replacement iPhone from my latest iCloud back up. However my camera roll pictures are not displaying. Its not saying I don't have any pictures in my camera roll, it has all the spaces for them, but it just shows empty white squares? How do I get my pictures back? Thanks!
It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors. You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing. You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore. You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup). Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup. -

Assuming that you synced the photos from iTunes - or whatever downloaded means - you must use iTunes again in order to remove the songs from the iPad. You have to uncheck the albums in the photos folder that you sync from in the Photos tab of iTunes and follow that with a sync.

If all you did was sync your phone, and if you haven't synced again since this happened, you can restore your phone from the backup that was created at the beginning of the sync process (camera roll photos are included in the backup). If you have synced again since this happened this backup has already been overwritten and your photos are lost. Also, if you restored your phone from the backup of your iPod, rather than just synced, then your photos are lost too.
If you have an intact backup that contains these photos, do the following:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences. On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.
When complete, you can go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing. -
yesterday i plugged my new Iphone in to my laptop and connected it up with Itunes. Itunes then deleted all my pictures off my new phone and reset my new phone with all the settings of my old phone! how do i get my pictures back????? Before you say Icloud they are not on there
