I restored my iphone to the original status, and I did not turn on my photo stream. Can I get my photos back?! I did syn on my itunes though, but I cannot find where my pics are, my musics are still there, nothing lost, but just my pics are all gone! can sb help me please !

You can only get it back from your Photo Stream or by restoring the iPhone from another backup.
Those options would only be available if you have an iCloud account setup or have another backup in iTunes.

@Razmee209 is right there is nothing you can do if it is an encrypted back up

BUT you could try to see if you have a back up that is not encrypted. If you go to iTunes Preferences (On a Windows go to Edit Menu under the Play Button - On a Mac click on iTunes at the top left) Click on Devices and if you see a back up that does not have a lock next to it you will be able to restore from that back up without using that password.
Encrypted passwords are set up at the time you create the back up.

Hi there sorry to hear that, if you have previously backed up your iPad you can restore it to that backup, do you know if you have a previous backup? If you go to iTunes,edit then preferences then devices you will see you previous backups, your photos could be there if you backed up your photos previously though i hope this helps you.

Contacts are meant to "live" on your computer in an application like Outlook or in the cloud (iCloud, Google). Your phone is merely a device to allow your contacts to be carried with you portably.
Have you not been using your phone as intended? Do your contacts not live in the cloud or on the computer? If the answer is no, then they're gone.

Photo Stream has only the recent shots in Camera Roll.
If you didn't backup with the appropriate software then it's gone.

Looks like you restored your backup file to her phone. If you didn't back up your wife's phone first, then the data is gone, sorry.

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . If you download them to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that restores them and their settings/content back to your iPhone - a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, so for the restore to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps so that it can restore them.

You restored your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch?
If so, photos/videos that were in your iPhone's Camera Roll should have been imported by your computer before doing this. You could then transfer these photos/videos back to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

If you have been regularly syncing/backing up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you may try restoring it from the last backup.

Make sure to turn OFF automatic syncing in iTunes before connecting your iPhone.

To see if there are any backups of your device on the computer, go to iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices.
Moving the mouse over the listed backups will tell you to which device they belong.
If there is no backup of your phone listed, your data is gone.

- If the photos were synced to the iPod they are gone
- If they were taken by or saved to the iPod gp to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the date/time of the iPod backup. If it is when you synced then restoring from backup should get the photos back.
- If you had turned on Settings>iCloud>PhotoStream, then set up PhotoStream on the computer and get the last 30 days of photos from PhotoStream. You should also be able to get them back by simply turning one Photostream on the restored iPod.

This was the scenario:
The first time I updated, it was only my music that was lost.
When I got my music back, I lost my apps.
When I got my apps back, my contacts, notes and photos were lost.
Now I got back everything except for my photos.
(Yes, I restored from backup several times since the first update.)
Do you think if I try restoring from back up, my photos that were taken from my ipod will be restored finally?
