I accidently copied one gmail acct onto my new gmail acount in Thunderbird, how do I delete it?
I have 3 different e-mail accounts on Thunderbird. JJ@gmail is my main account. My new acct is tman@gmail. I foolishly tried to move 3 folders from the main acct into the new acct., rather than simply create new folders. Now I have copies of my main acct folders in my new acct and I can not delete them because they are labeled (gmail) How do I clean this up. Should I scratch the new acct and start from scratch? If so , how? SOS!
Can you not put them back where they came from?
How about going to the gmail website and deleting them there?
Deleting the new account sounds good too. If it's IMAP, the messages are actually on the server, so removing the account in Thunderbird has no effect on the messages' existence.
Go to '''Account Settings''' (right-click the account, choose '''Settings'''). Select the tman@gmail account, and at the bottom, under '''Account Actions''', you'll find an option to remove it.

I have copied my iTunes library onto a new computer, but when I play back the songs using the new computer, there seems to be random "miss" or "drop out" during play back, similar to a small scratch on a vinyl record. Although when I play the same song over again, the "miss" occurs in a different location during the song. No probs with old computer, just the new one. I'm onto my third new computer - same problem. You don't say which version of iTunes you are using, but the symptoms you describe have been encountered by some users with the 64-bit version of iTunes 12.1.
There is an alternative version for 64-bit editions of Windows here:

that seems to address the most of the playback issues that some users have been reporting with the full 64-bit version of 12.1.0.77 - including problems with Bluetooth speakers where either sound is degraded or completely absent. The alternative installer here is the same architecture as most previous "64-bit" versions of iTunes, i.e., a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer. The "for older video cards" label appears to be something of a misnomer as some people have reported that this corrects problems found on current / high-spec systems.
Some users have reported that after installing this alternative version it is necessary to adjust the "Play audio using" selection (normally to "Direct Sound" rather than "Windows Audio Session", though this may vary based on your audio hardware/drivers) in Edit > Preferences > Playback to restore glitch-free audio (one part of the reported symptoms is that the "Direct Sound" choice isn't available, usually in Windows 8). It may also be necessary to ensure that your Bluetooth speakers are active and selected as the default audio device before you run iTunes.
If this doesn't address the issue, you may want to think about reverting to iTunes 12.0 - see Turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for steps needed to completely remove all installed iTunes components, and for links to the 12.0 installers. -
I burned disks of previously purchased content that is not available thru iTunes anymore but the latest ver. of iTunes won't let me copy this same content onto a new comp. Is there a way to do this or maybe an earlier ver. of iTunes to download?

I Stupidly have one iCloud account but with two phones using it. How can I delete iCloud from my phone without deleting the account from my husbands phone. He needs the account on his but I dont want it on mine!
But does this delete the whole account from the cloud, or just from my device. I must make sure my husband doesn't loose all his business contacts which are in the iCloud device. Thanks.

I changed the password on my computer for my gmail account, and now new gmail calendar information is not appearing on my iTouch.

I lost all of my contacts on my Blackberry 9930 phone while trying to sync it with the Blackberry Desktop software since I upgrade from Mobile me to ICloud on my Mac book. It seems that the Desktop Software can't recognise ICloud contacts/Groups and my calendar will now not sync either. My husband has a Mac Pro and a Blackberry and is having the same problems.
I some how have two (2) icloud accounts. How can I delete one??? Please help!You can't actually delete an iCloud account but you can remove it by signing out at System Preferences>iCloud if it is the promary account, or in Mail, Contacts & Calendars if the secondary, and then juste ignore it.
The Blackeberry can only sync with data held under 'On My Mac'. iCloud can only sync with data under 'iCloud'.
When you set up iCloud your calendars and contacts were moved to the iCloud server. If you want to use Blackberry you will have to move them back to 'On My Mac' and not sync with iCloud: it's one or the other.

To move contacts, File>Export as vCard when you have selected all your contacts, then delete the contacts under iCloud, make 'On My Mac' the default and reimport the vCard. -

Copy all three OSs onto a new hard drive.
Hello current I have a macbook pro and am splitting the hard drive between osX, windows, and ubuntu. My 500gb hard drive has been out of space for a while (have to delete stuff every time I want to install something new) and so I bought a new 1tb hard drive. (One of those hybrid sdd with 8 gb sdd inside if it matters.)
So anyway how can I keep all three of my os's without starting over? (But each partition needs to be bigger.) I know mac has a good backup and I think that should work, but I am not sure about the entire process. I am guessing I would need to install osx then bootcamp (and windows) and the ubunut onto the bootcamp partition? And is there a way to backup ubuntu to a hard drive and restore it? I know windows has some sort of backup but isn't that just for restore points?
Or is there a better way entirely?
I have an idea on how it will all work, but I really want to make sure I am not missing something (as my data is important to me) and am not 100% sure if this is the best way to go about it.
Thanks so much for your time!Study the differences between a normal disk and the Momentus XT. Partitioning for example is not really without worries when both partitions must be bootable and I doubt if 3 partitions with bootable OS's will work at all.
But when you use a Virtualizer it will work perfectly well, because the VM is just a large file.
Even with one OS there are differences, see threads here. But in general the XT is much faster when using one OS. -
Copying old iTunes library onto a new hard drive: special question:
How do i do this when the music in my old iTunes library was not all in the itunes media folder (some was in downloads, shared folder, etc). Should I put these folders in the places where they were on my old hard drive (for example the "shared" folder was on the desktop) or should i just put everything into the iTunes media folder. My main goal here is to recreate my old itunes library with the playlists intact while also having all the songs recognized (none of those exclamation points because it cant locate the file). Sorry to repeat myself but I just want to make it clear because i dont want this to mess up. Should i put all my music into the itunes media folder for it to show up in the old library, or should I keep it in the folders it always was in and just place those folders in the same locations on this hard drive? Right, and the way you do this is to hold down the shift key while starting iTunes. (Note: this does not mean holding down the shift key while you click on the icon. It means holding it down immediately after that while the program is starting up.) This will bring up a dialog asking what iTunes library you want to use. Point to the old library, and you're in business.
Let me know if this will work: I drag and drop my
whole music folder to the new drive, then in iTunes I
go to File --> Import and import the itl or xml file.
I've heard this might not work because the xml file
has pathways that refer to a specific drive letter
which will be different.
That's correct. You can edit the XML to fix the pathnames, but I wouldn't recommend that unless editing XML is something you do regularly. -

If you mean you want a new blank report with the same database and link set up? couldn't you just save the report under a new name, go to the design tab, select all and delete? This would keep the database setup the same, but give you a blank design sheet.
I may be way off track here if you mean something different
