I accidently disconnected my ipod and it wont go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm i accidently disonnected my ipod and the "do not disconnect screen" wont go away ive tried reseting it but nothings working help please!
pc   Windows XP

If the ipod will not reset by holding down the center button and the menu button at the same time untill you see an apple logo. It can take up to 30 sec.
Then, let the ipod battery compleately drain then connect to the computer to recharge. This will force the ipod to reset itself.

  • I restored my ipod and songs wont go back onto it.

Ive always had difficulty with my ipod, but recently things have gotten worse. My ipod refused to sync to my itunes, so i finally gave in and restored it. i plugged it into a power source like it told me to, and then plugged it back into the computer to put my library back on it. However, it only put on the artists from A-G and nothing more. I restored and reset it several times again and it still wont go farther than to the G's. Also, the songs that made it onto the ipod wont even play. What do I do? I also do not have my music backed up and im terrified of losing it all. Someone PLEASE help me! Thanks.

never mind i got it thanks for your time

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue?  Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?

Got my daughter an ipod touch 4th and it wont dothe back up from itunes? I bought my other daughter an iphone 4 and its doing the same thing. Both are locking up itunes too. I tried the deactivate/activate that was suggested it still didnt work. I took the ipod to a friend and hooked to her laptop and it synced fine but now trying to sync on mine it wont do it and it has the backup encryption on but no passwords will unlock it. itunes will reccognize the ipod and the iphone but while going thru the sync steps they both get to step 2 then lock up itunes and then says its syncing but will never stop. I am very frustrated and am regretting buying products from Apple.

It seems to be a glitch or bug. Its been officially acknowledged and addressed by Apple. There is no resolution other than waiting for a few days.   The Kb article by Apple states it will fix itself on January 7.

    Hey tessatony,
Thanks for the question. I understand that your iPhone 4s is not functioning properly, and that you wish to try to make a backup before troubleshooting. From the information you have provided, it sounds like the device is indeed turning on and responding when plugged in, however the display is not lighting up. Have you attempted to plug the iPhone into a computer with iTunes? If iTunes recognizes the phone, you can attempt to back it up:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946
Afterwards, attempt to restart and/or reset the phone:

If your issue persists, your iPhone may need to be serviced. The following link should help you get started with the process. Included, you will find information on topics such as warranty, service pricing, and express replacement service.

  • I turned my iphone 3g off and it wont switch back on

I turned my iphone 3g off during a movie and it wont switch back on, i tried turning it back on resetting it and whatnot but it comes up with a blank white screen and then turns back off. I tried recovering it but it gets stuck at 3/4 and then freezes.. ive looked through the forums already but nothing helped, what can i do?
I never had WiFi sync and it has never been jailbroken.

Could be short in the iPhone charging port. Clean the charging port with a clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If not, iPhone 5 has Warranty. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

If you have Apple Care or your computer is still under warranty, give them a call and get a case number.  Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.
