I add a light but I can't see it in my Motion Project
I am making some text for a trailer in Motion 3 but when I add a light to it, the effect doesn't work. I can see where the light should be and can even move it around the screen. The parameters are there for me to change the intensity etc but as there is absolutley no effect, nothing happens. I switched it to 3D mode when I added the light, yet it still doesn't show up. Can anyone explain why this is and how I can resolve it please?
Is the light source you have added an ambient light. Then you see the overall light. By selecting spot or point light you have a light source like lightbulb.
If the light source is under the grid you want see nothing. place it above the grid.

I upgraded to 10.8.2 but can't find my Notes from before I upgraded. The new Notes are not in Mail and I can now add new Notes but I can't find my old Notes.
First, make sure iCloud is selected as the default account in the Notes settings on the iPad. If it is, sign out of iCloud and sign back in.

Possibly backlight died, if you look at it closely in bright light can you see a "Shadow" of the screen image?

Photos are on Ipod but I can't see them
In the past I have successfully put pics on and off my ipod. Right now I can see in itunes and on my ipod my photos are there but I can't see the actual picture. All I see on my ipod is the outline of the picture and in slide show settings I get a black screen.
I took all the photos off and put them back on and still nothing but a blank screen.
Help?There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances but the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous in place of a title. Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album folder. -
My Windows PC iTunes doesn't see my two Apple TV2's (in the speaker button in lower right of iTunes), I believe this problem began when my PC's McAfee AV subscription expired. My computer has internet connection thru router and my ATVs have internet connection thru same router so it's not a networking issue. My iPad can see the ATVs but it can't see iTunes so the problem appears to be PC/iTunes related. I turned the PC's firewall off but no joy. I uninstalled the expired McAfee and still no joy. Reboot = no joy. Glass of scotch = no joy. Need help!!
Wanted to add that I turned on Home Sharing w/the same account in iTunes and ATVs. And I've successfully streamed music/photos to my ATVs for over a year.

MacPro starts up, but I can't see anything
Started having issues with Photoshop CS2 not wanting to startup. I would have to shutdown and kill the power. When I would restart I could hear it but not see it. I would restart once more and everything would be fine.
About a week ago, the problem stopped. Then it started back this morning - with a vengeance. Now, I nothing I do helps. I've tried different monitors, unplugging periperals, the works. But I can't see a thing.
Could it be the graphics card?Add me to the list. I'm posting to all threads in the hope that Apple will pay attention. This has to be a firmware issue.
The problem is that four times out of five, the Mac boots to a black screen.
I believe the computer is booting all the way up, because I have the front power button set to put the computer to sleep, and when I manually power down the machine using the power button, the Mac will go to sleep first.
Also, the Mac will go into Firewire disk mode when connected to my MacBook.
My setup:
MacPro 2008, 8-core 2.8
14 GB RAM
ATI 2600
Here's what I've tried:
Reinstalling and updating OS both 10.5 and 10.6
Diskwarrior
PRAM zap
Pulling all USB and firewire peripherals off the computer -- Mac promptly booted to black screen, so peripherals are not the issue.
I have tried booting to the Apple Hardware Test on my commercial Leopard DVD and Snow Leopard DVD, but the machine will not boot to this (these disks will boot the AHT on other Macs). I no longer have the original CDs that shipped with the Mac.
I've suspected the video card, but according to posts, apparently this is not the cause.
Before this, the Mac Pro was having a related issue pertaining to VMWare Fusion, wherein the Mac would occasionally not wake from sleep, logging a VMWare Fusion kernel crash.
For the moment, I'm not shutting down the Mac Pro, just turning off the Cinema Display. -
I have added photos from iPhoto into Photo Stream and enabled my iCloud but I can't see any uploaded photos. Does this sound right?
Enable PhotoStream in iCloud first, then add the photos to PhotoStream in iCloud. Of course, you will need PhotoStream also enabled on your other devices also in order to view them.

I am running Windows 7 on a laptop and I have lost my Menu Bar for Firefox. It says it's turned on, but I can't see it. I have googled various options to try & get it back, but nothing works. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Uninstalled Firefox completely (Using REVO Uninstaller)
Reboot
Re-install Firefox

My photos on iphotos just became empty boxes, bordered by white intermittent lines. If I click on a photo it comes up, but I can't see what each photo is at a glance. Any ideas how to resolve this? thanks
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the options to rebuild the thumbnails.

I've just signed up to iTunes Match as I have songs on my iPhone 4 which wont sync with iTunes as they are from CDs but I can't see my music in the cloud now. Anyone had the same problem and have an easy fix?
What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly. -
My phone is saying all my storage for pictures is taken up when I only have 154 picture.. It happened when I got my screen fixed at a kiosk in a mall and I had 2,000 pictures when I gave it to him and when I got it back I had 0 but my wallpapers remained.. Very strange it's as if my phone still has the pictures on there.. But I can't see them. Anybody know what I should do :( I keep having to delete apps because I have no more storage for no reason :(((
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Before I updated everything worked fine. This is thru safari on the full version of a website. Now after I enter my chat room and everyone can see me and what I type but I can't see them. I was on the phone with apple. 1st call, they had me empty cookies and cache, that didn't work. I did a hard reset? held the off button and the round button. that didn't work, but I was able to see one persons "hi" post. 2nd call they had me do a reset, thru the general in settings(I was also transferred to a supervisor which makes me think that I am the only one with this problem). I was able to see 5 people say hi, but still unable to see them after the intial.
I use to see the little pinwheel at the top left hand side next to ipad and the signal strength pinwheel all the time but now I don't see it doing that. While in the chat.
Any ideas. The supervisor sorta suggested tap-a-talk. But I didn't want to spend the money if I dont have to and Im not sure it would fix this..

Have you set the Quicktime settings, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed set what you get from your ISP go no higher then 1.5mbps(dont use automatic)
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to NONE.
Restart iChat.
